Kate gives Chelsea advice, Nicole and EJ go at it in the sauna and Daniel meets with Marlena.
Nicole comes upon Chloe and Philip dining at the Kiriakis mansion. She says she was hungry until she saw them together and asks where Victor is. He's at the Opera, they tell her and Chloe tells Philip about the opera house that Victor was creating in memory of Isabella. Chloe thinks it would have been an amazing tribute but Nicole doesn't think Isabella would have wanted two-timing Chloe to perform there. Nicole chastises Philip for chasing "Chloe Lame" and Philip reminds her she cheated on Victor. She admits it's true and she learned her lesson.
EJ is dressed for the gym and when Sami arrives back at the mansion, she asks him if he's off to see Nicole. He denies it. Sami rushes upstairs to change for the gym.
Elsewhere in the mansion, John and Marlena discuss the break in. Marlena says she has put out feelers and she's helping. Daniel interrupts for his appointment. John remembers him as "The Big Kahuna" who saved Bo's life. He also read that Daniel took second place in the Australian National surf championships, two years ago! John's impressed and Daniel says he'd do it all again, though it cracked his board and his head! Daniel asks Marlena for advice and Marlena asks John to excuse them. He leaves, but he's not happy. "Make it quick." Once John has left, Daniel tells Marlena about his wife's death and how he's been traveling the world to get away from the pain. He tells her he has been trying not to get involved with a patient and wants to know how to fall out of love and move on. Marlena doesn't think she can help. No matter how hard he tries to ignore those feelings, it's unavoidable. John listens in from the other side of the door. Daniel wants a guarantee but there are none, says Marlena and she asks him to picture his wife and what she'd say to him if she were there. Daniel says she'd tell him "But baby, you have so much to give. Allow yourself to love someone." Marlena calls that good advice. Daniel feels less scrambled but wants to know what he should do. Marlena can't tell him that. John listens from outside the door as Daniel explains that when he's in the OR, he can anticipate anything, but not when it comes to his personal life. Marlena thinks Daniel knows what he wants and thinks he is looking for the go ahead from her. She cautions him to take the relationship slowly if he decides to pursue it. Daniel grins and thanks her. Marlena wishes him luck and after he leaves, Marlena spots John nearby and asks why he was eavesdropping. It's his house, he tells her but she says she'd appreciate privacy. He asks how she's helping him look for that disc. She says Roman is helping, not as a cop but as a friend. John doesn't like it and doesn't want her involved but she says it's too bad. "Because I love you very much and like it or not, we're in this together."
Kate and Chelsea dine at the pub and Chelsea asks for advice on how to make Daniel realize he loves her. Kate thought she was with Nick. Chelsea admits they broke up because she had a thing for Daniel, who has issues with his wife's death and can't move on. Kate is surprised and tells her she shouldn't get involved with a man who doesn't want to get involved. She'll always take a back seat to his wife. Chelsea knows Kate has the worst track record with men and wonders if she should listen to the advice. Kate says that's precisely why she should.
Nearby, Angelo admits to Ava that Martino wanted her out of the way so he and a few fellows could take care of Patch. Ava's shocked and makes a call to her dad. "I need to talk to you, now," she orders. Angelo tells her he's tired of being her father's puppet and of how he treats her. Ava tells him things have changed, now that she's off those meds!
At Hope's place, Hope offers Kayla tea and Bo calls Hope to tell him Steve's in trouble. She promises to keep it quiet and says she'll be right there.
Steve plays his harmonica on the pier while the sniper takes aim at his head. Steve paces, nervously. Minutes later, Bo comes up behind the man, holds his gun to the man's head and cocks it. "Yep, that's the sound of a 9 mil." Hope takes the man's gun and Steve sighs in relief! Bo arrests the goon and Hope finds his wallet. Steve dashes off to see Kayla while Hope and Bo bring the goon to Salem PD.
EJ arrives at the gym and helps a girl workout while he spies Sami spying on him!
Back at the mansion, Nicole says she's just trying to help Philip because she does care about him! Philip smirks. Nicole takes a call from EJ, who asks her to work out with him. She leaves and Chloe realizes Nicole's right. They can't mess around! Philip tries to talk Chloe into it with a kiss and accuses her of returning to Salem because of him but she finds him egotistical. She promptly loses her appetite and leaves the room. Phil takes out John's disc. "Suit yourself!"
Sami enters the gym and meets a fellow gym member, Chris, who compliments her shirt and says she looks cute. He gazes at EJ. "Who's the tall drink of water," he wants to know. Sami says he's taken and when Nicole arrives, Chris calls her gorgeous. Sami makes it known she's there and Nicole and EJ arrive by Sami's side. She introduces Chris as her friend and says he invited her to work out with him! Nicole says EJ invited her down to do laps. Sami scowls and EJ asks if she has a problem with it. "No, I don't," Sami lies. Nicole tells EJ they should take a steam together. As they leave, Sami asks Chris to eavesdrop on them. He giggles, gives Sami a high five and goes off to spy for her.
Martino walks into the pub and sits with Ava. She tells him to call off the hit or he'll be sorry. He claims not to know what she's talking about.
At Hope's place, Kayla continues having cramps and calls an ambulance.
In the steam room, Nicole and EJ laugh that Sami's probably dying to know what's going on in there. They start kissing passionately and when Chris shows up at the door, he overhears kissing and moans from the other side!
Daniel arrives at the pub and sits nearby Kate and Chelsea. Kate says he can't get into a relationship with Chelsea until he's available. She leaves and Daniel moves to Chelsea's table and says he spoke to a shrink but still has no answers. He knows that things aren't going to happen for them. Chelsea tells him Kate thinks she'd end up hurt. "Smart woman," says Daniel but Chelsea disagrees. She thinks they'd have a great go at it but won't chase him. "Thank-you," he says and she tells him when he realizes how good they could be, he can call her.
Chris returns to Sami at the punching bags and tells her that he's sorry, but he overheard moans at the steam room. "It sounds like he's really good," he says, apologetically. Sami's face falls. Sami storms to the steam room and is about to knock when she decides if EJ wants Nicole, he can have her.
EJ breaks off the kiss with Nicole in the steam room and tells Nicole she's a beautiful woman but he loves Samantha. "Who said anything about love," Nicole asks. They kiss again.
At the pub, Ava tells her dad to stop whatever he has going and when Bo and Hope arrive, they arrest him for the attempted murder of Steven Johnson!

Martino says, "You need to pin that murder on whoever you arrested. You can't prove he works for me." Ava tells him, "No, but I can."
Nicole says, "She is in love with Lucas." EJ says, "Well that might not be the case too much longer."
Kayla groans in pain and Steve asks what's happening. Kayla tells him it's too soon. Steve asks if she called 911.
