Chloe returns, Chelsea pressures Daniel and Sami deals with her impulsiveness that resulted in kissing EJ.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Henderson gives Philip an envelope. Once he opens it, he finds the disc, containing John's memories. Philip flashes back to an earlier conversation with John where he tries to work out an agreement to work together. He inserts the disc into his laptop and says, "Alright John, let's see what you've been up to." When he sees static, he realizes in anger that it's encrypted. He is about to call a technician but when Chloe arrives, he hangs up. Chloe tells him she's back from Switzerland and Brady is still in rehab. Brady wasn't happy to see her and blames her for his addiction. Philip is surprised, since Brady's an adult, capable of making his own decisions. Philip wants to know why she's here and she confesses Brady wants a divorce and she wanted support. Philip is surprised she'd give up without a fight but Chloe doesn't think they had a chance, even from the beginning. She blames Victor, though Philip doesn't think she can hold him responsible for her marital issues. Chloe yells that she'll never forgive him for what he did and she's back to get even with Victor. Philip wonders if she's also there to use him to make Victor crazy. Chloe thinks he's full of himself and says she needs a friend.
Outside the pub, Sami yells at Nicole that she's using her helpless dog to get to EJ and she won't stand by and let it happen. She kisses EJ passionately but soon breaks away from him and in shock says, "What have I done?" Nicole offers EJ antibacterial breath spray while Sami stammers, "I don't know what I was thinking." She runs into the pub frantically and smiling brightly and full of hope, EJ thanks Nicole. Nicole can't believe her rotten luck. She didn't mean to manipulate Sami into kissing EJ and says she was genuinely upset about Pooky. EJ grins and asks if Nicole is sure Sami's jealous. Nicole is positive and spits out that she found it disgusting! She tells EJ that Sami is bad news, but he disagrees and tells her they have a child together. Nicole reminds him they've only an arranged marriage and EJ asks why she cares. He tells her his personal life never interferes with his work and he accuses her of having an ulterior motive. Nicole argues that this is not the truth but EJ has figured Nicole out. He thinks she hates that Sami has a chance at the unconditional happiness that Nicole wants for herself.
Chelsea barges into the steam room and tells Daniel that she knows about his wife. He doesn't need a pep talk, he says he explains that he crossed the line and there is nothing between them. Chelsea doesn't believe him. She thinks he is keeping her at arm's length because he fears she'll get sick again and he'll lose her. Daniel denies this and walks out the door. Chelsea tells him if she gets sick again, he'll take care of her, but he asks, "What if I can't?" He refuses to make the same mistake twice. He calls her amazing, strong and courageous and Chelsea tells him she used to think that of him. She now realizes she was wrong. Daniel asks her to find someone to return her feelings as he can't. He becomes more agitated by the minute and tells her there's nothing she can do or say to change his mind. Chelsea grabs him in a demanding kiss. She asks him to tell her he didn't feel a thing, and he admits that he did. "That's the problem."
Sami goes to Caroline at the pub bar and asks for a drink. "Water, whiskey, rubbing alcohol... something!" Caroline laughs and Sami tells her grandmother she needs to see Lucas. "Right now!" Sami calls the prison but Lucas refuses to talk to her. She cries to Caroline that Lucas has to get over his guilt and let her see him, the sooner the better! EJ comes into the pub and Caroline asks him if he knows what's going on, because Sami refuses to spill it. EJ says he thinks Samantha's just desperate to hang on to what she had with Lucas. Sami yells that she has true love with Lucas and he'll never know anything about that. She storms off and Caroline asks if EJ did something to prompt this! EJ tells her that this time it was all Sami. He explains what happened and Caroline says she knows Sami and Nicole are enemies and that Sami misses Lucas. She apologizes and knows he's trying hard to change, but he should realize that the only reason why he is a part of Sami's life is because Lucas can't be. EJ knows. He flashes back to talking with Sami about seeing Lucas in jail, for the last time and how hard it was for her. He flashes back to his clandestine meeting with Nicole and telling her that he has a plan to get to Sami, and then flashes back to Sami forcibly kissing him, outside the pub.
Back at the DiMera mansion, Sami thanks Rolf for helping her put the twins down. A discombobulated Rolf is shocked that she does this every night. He asks for a drink and they discuss how rocking babies isn't part of his job! They drink to the little ones sleeping through the night and Sami tells Rolf she thinks she has misjudged him. She wonders how he did Stefano's bidding without emotion but Rolf admits it helped him to leave his emotions out of his work when he was with Stefano. He tells her that he has a way with children because of the time he spent with the Gemini Twins (Rex and Cassie). She asks what his opinion is about EJ and Rolf thinks EJ is finally becoming his own person but isn't sure if it's a good or a bad thing and asks what her thoughts are on EJ. Sami thinks EJ's trying to be a better person, but he's trying her patience! Since Rolf sees all, she asks his opinion on the relationship between John and Marlena. Rolf doesn't think they'll get back together the way that John is now and says they've as much of a chance as Sami falling in love with EJ! EJ walks in and startles Sami, who immediately dashes off to bed.
When Philip offers Chloe to stay at the mansion with him, her first reaction is that she'd prefer to live in a cardboard box. She quickly changes her mind and realizes that it would anger Victor if she stayed there and uses Philip to make Victor crazy. Philip grins as she rips his shirt open and kisses him. "I like being friends with you," Philip says. Later, they are interrupted by Nicole, "Oh no, please, God, not them, too," she cries.

Roman tells Sami, "If he didn't want to see you, there is absolutely nothing I or anybody else can do about it."
Angelo tells Ava that 'Patch' is the reason for all her problems and he knows her father agrees!
EJ says, "Aren't you a little bit concerned someone might see us?" Steve says, "I don't care who sees us so long as I get what I came for."
