Days of Our Lives - DAILY UPDATES

At the hospital, Kayla checks in with Lexi. They decide to team up and look into Bo's condition since Dr. Daniel likes to work alone. Kayla remembers that she knows a specialist in Zurich and gets on the phone. She doesn't have much luck except for a website about radical pancreas transplants. That procedure doesn't make any sense to Lexi. They soon discover that it's actually been done successfully...by Dr. Daniel himself. They wonder why he hasn't mentioned anything about this.

Hope stares at Bo as he lays in his hospital bed. She sits down beside him and kisses his hand. Her tension is making him nervous and things haven't been looking good in the first place. She tries to reassure him but he keeps thinking about how Isabella died. He vows to fight this with everything he's got, but he doesn't know how much time he has left. She keeps talking while he has spasms. They begin recalling their days on the Fancy Face with little Shawn-D and dancing all night under the stars. "I hope I made you happy," he says. Of course he does...everyday, she assures him. He's not sure they're going to have anymore happy memories. His fatalistic attitude is making her angry, but he explains that if he doesn't make it, he doesn't want her to be alone. "I could never love anyone but you!" she shouts before ordering him to get better.

Bo goes unconscious and his machines stars to ring. Hope runs out and Lexi runs in. She tries to stabilize him while Kayla keeps Hope calm. After Bo is nearly stable again, Hope runs back to his side and Lexi rushes off to find Dr. Daniel. Kayla explains to Hope that there is a radical procedure they might be able to try. "How soon can they do it?" Hope asks, she needs more information. Kayla reminds her they'll have to find a donor. Hope vows never to give up.

At the mansion, Rolf informs John that dinner is almost ready. They talk about Claire, the only member of his family who doesn't ask stupid questions and annoy him. He just wants to get this over with. So does Rolf; he's a scientist, not Martha Stewart. The doorbell rings and the guests file in. "I've been looking forward to this," John announces. Rolf arches his eyebrow and then takes their coats. Belle still can't get used to her father living in the mansion. He assures them that everything there is his. He pulls Claire away from some antiques before she can grab them and thanks everyone for coming to "Family Dinner Night". Marlena hands him the gift they brought. It's a photo album. "No thank you," he growls. Belle thinks he should try to remember things, but John doesn't want to. Shawn points out that there are cute pictures of Claire inside. "You fight dirty," John mumbles before opening up the book. He flips through Belle's baby pictures and grumbles about his bad 80's hair. He seems disturbed but insists that he's not remembering anything and walks out.

John sits on the stairs alone until Belle comes out to sit by him. She knows he isn't who she wants him to be. He feels like he's being shoved back into a life that's no longer his. The family misses him; even if they have him back physically, he's gone in every other way. He doesn't think that's ever going to change. She thinks the new John will be a very lonely guy. Claire comes out to sit with "pop pop" while Belle goes back to the family. He tells her his problems and asks her to spy for him. He also reminds her to call him John.

Marlena's annoyed that her plans to get the old John back have been backfiring. She wonders if they are really the ones to blame. "I hate Stefano! I could kill him for what he did to dad!" Belle blurts out. This makes Rolf nervous. Before he can run away, they turn on him and demand that he explain how they can get John back. "I think dinner is burning," he says, running into the kitchen. John brings Claire back in so they can eat. Marlena says that next time they come, she'll bring pie instead of photos. Rolf starts bringing in appetizers and yelling at Belle for playing with Stefano's things. John reminds him that he owns everything now. "He's so creepy," Belle cringes at Rolf. "He is kinda strange," John smiles. Belle and Shawn tease each other and laugh, letting Marlena know that they are planning a big adventure. John drifts off while Marlena talks about her plans. They ask him if he has any plans of his own. "As Claire would say, that's for me to know...." "....and you to find out," she says, finishing his thought and climbing onto his lap. John explains that he's planning on rebuilding Stefano's business empire. Rolf announces that dinner is ready and they head to the table. Belle still wants her father back. Rolf stares over at the painting of Stefano on the wall. Later, dinner is interrupted when Hope calls Shawn about Bo.

In an alleyway, Steve meets with one of his former contacts to get the low down on Ava. Before he can get any information, Stephanie pops up to check on him. The man admires Stephanie until Steve sends him away. Stephanie asks what's going on and her father tells her that the guy was just an informant for a case he's working on. This excuse isn't convincing. She asks if he is buying drugs. He's not, he's just keeping secrets from Kayla. She demands to know what he's hiding. They sit down and he explains his affair with the mafia boss' daughter and how unhappy she was when he left her. He also tells her that he's got guards watching her and her mother. She starts pacing and insists they have to tell Kayla everything. This all sounds crazy to Stephanie, who seems disturbed that her father could have been with another woman. He tells her they have to keep this a secret, but she won't...then she suddenly changes her mind. Steve explains that he's done a lot of things he's not proud of but now he's back where he belongs and nothing is more important to him than his family. "I'm going to protect us baby. I promise," he says before suggesting she leave town. She has too much going on to leave right now. She can't leave Max or her mother. They eat some chips and Kayla calls about Bo. They hurry over to the hospital.
