Brady's gather for Pop's wake, Ava spies on Steve and Bo is diagnosed!
Bradys gather at the Brady pub for an Irish wake to celebrate Shawn Sr.'s life. Nick and Maggie agree this is the type of wake that Grandpa Shawn would have wanted but Chelsea's feeling down in the dumps and Lexi feels uncomfortable. Steve tries to perk up Kayla by reminding her it is a time to celebrate her dad. EJ complains about his discomfort to Sami but she tells him he's a DiMera and he should tough it out. EJ turns from her, exasperated. Hope notices how pale Bo is and asks Steve to stay close in case they need him. Outside the pub, Ava watches. Caroline wishes Pop was there and Roman says Pop would have wanted this wake. He gives Caroline a hug.
Kayla says a toast for Pop about how tender, outgoing, loving and wonderful he was. She also calls him fiery and obstinate too. Nobody could give a better Irish toast than her pop. She and Roman hold up their glasses and each Brady says a line of an Irish poem. (No idea what this poem is. If you know it, feel free to send it to us!) Caroline thanks Kimberly for the lovely speech and says her father will always be with her. Kimberly is upset that she didn't get to say goodbye to him but Caroline points out that she just did! Kimberly hugs Caroline and Kayla. Nearby, Bo still feels guilty for Pop's death but Hope reminds him that his dad died a hero. Bo starts to cough and Hope calls Steve to come quickly. They want to get him to the hospital. Kimberly tells Bo she is supposed to leave on a flight to Los Angeles today but she'll stay for him. Bo doesn’t want her to. He tells her to come around more often though and starts for the door while Marlena and Victor watch with worried expressions.
Once outside, Bo convinces a reluctant Hope to stay with Caroline while Steve takes him to the hospital. Ava watches from a doorway and takes a photo of Steve hugging Hope, with her cell phone.
Back inside the pub, Kayla asks Caroline to stay with them but she refuses. John finds Chloe and asks if she's having as much fun as he is. Chloe comments that they're just covering their pain with the wake. She explains that he didn't know Shawn that well. John didn't either. EJ finds them and asks if there is room for one more!
Hope returns from dropping Bo off at Steve's car. She says goodbye to Kimberly, who offers her help and asks she and Bo to visit her in California. Hope happily tells her she may take her up on that. She tells Lexi that Bo was just taken to the hospital so Lexi goes after Bo and Hope asks Shawn to take care of his grandmother so she can go to the hospital. At the bar, Roman and Max drink shooers.
Outside the pub, Ava corners Hope and tells her it's about time they met. Hope is confused and even more so when Ava asks if Hope loves Steve! Hope says, "Yeah, of course I love him. Who are you?" Ava smirks and stomps off.
Tony arrives at DiMera Advertising and leers at his assistant before he compliments her on her new dress. She tells him she has word from the new BlackWelder account and he asks how the Lumburg account is doing. When she has no idea, he says he'll look after it himself.
Anna arrives at her office on her first day at work. Her boss calls to ask if she has brought any clients in yet. She remarks that she hasn't even cleaned off her desk yet. Her boss doesn't care. He wants clients first and a clean desk later. Anna reassures him they'll blow DiMera Advertising out of the water but later she calls him back to let him know that Tony's got all of their clients. She'll run over to his office to discuss it further.
Back at DiMera Advertising, Tony finishes up with a client and says to himself that it doesn't seem right without Anna there. "You should be working with me," he says to her photo. With a laugh, he tells his secretary he's going to take Anna to lunch and not to expect him for a few hours!
Tony arrives at Lumberg Advertising with a bouquet of flowers for Anna, who is not there. He reads her legal pad, laughs and writes a note for her to let her know he came by. HE asks that she join forces with me at DiMera Advertising.
Anna arrives at DiMera Advertising and knocks on Tony's office door. When he doesn't answer, she waltzes in and sits at his desk. She unhappily reads some of his papers and writes him a note and when Tony's assistant arrives, she tells her who she is and asks if Tony has talked with her about birth control yet. The assistant is confused and Anna tells her a story about how he'll come on to her, get her pregnant, and fire her as he did to Anna before. The assistant is shocked.
At the hospital, Bo tells Steve he's feeling better lying down. Steve elects to stay with Bo until the doctor arrives but Bo wants him to take care of Kayla so Steve leaves. He drops by the nurse's station to ask the nurse on duty to take good care of Bo. The nurse goes in to check on Bo and to hook him up to the monitors but finds him in cardiac arrest. She calls for Doctor Carver and Lexi runs in and starts CPR. Finally, she brings Bo around.
Back at the pub, EJ introduces himself to Kimberly but she judges him for what he did to Sami and their family. EJ says he's sorry for what he has done and she shrugs that she has to hand it to him. It takes a lot of guts for a man to admit he has made a mistake. She goes to Caroline to say goodbye but she tells her mom she wants to stay in Salem to be with her. Caroline laughs and says she has family here to take care of her but Kimberly's husband needs her. They hug and Kimberly says goodbye to Kayla, Marlena, Max and Roman. With tears in her eyes, she promises to return.
Anna returns to her office to find the flowers and note from Tony. She's annoyed by the note and shreds it in anger.
Back at his office, Tony arrives to find his secretary packing. She tells him she's quitting, much to Tony's surprise. She asks when he was going to give her the birth control talk but a puzzled Tony says she should have learned that in sixth grade! The girl is disgusted and stomps off.
Ava arrives home and stares at a photo of Steve, kisses it and then looks at photos of each of Claire, Philip, Chloe, Kayla, Shawn Sr., John and Hope. It appears she thinks Hope is Kayla! "So you love Patch. It's a big, big mistake," she says.
Hope arrives at the hospital and cries that she shouldn't have left Bo. Chelsea and Shawn run into the room and ask what's wrong with him. Lexi enters the room and tells them they've got the test results back. His pancreas is starting to shut down, slowly. If it shuts down altogether, he'll die.
Back at Brady Pub, Steve asks Abe to run Ava Vitali's name through the police computer as a favor. Abe reluctantly agrees just this one time to do it. Nearby, Victor and Caroline sit. Victor is at a loss for words for once, he admits but is sorry for her loss. He says he never stopped caring for Shawn as a friend and at the time, he hated that she chose Shawn over him but he understood it. Caroline admits she was in love with two men but needed to be true to herself. Victor is happy to hear she loved him once. They discuss how Bo came out of their love and Roman and Max get the family's attention so Max can give a speech about how wonderful Pop was. He says Pop always had answers to anything he questioned. Sami smiles as he talks and Max says Pop made him feel special. He toasts Pop and everyone raises their glass. He asks for no more tears. Belle, Roman, Philip, EJ, Nick, Victor and Caroline all say a poem or Irish joke and the family laughs and raise their glass to Shawn's photo.
Tony shows up at Anna's office and Anna panics. She says perhaps she went too far! Tony stares at her while he walks to her desk, quietly. He takes her in his arms and surprises her with a hard kiss.

Marlena tells John to give the DiMera money away but John doesn't see that as an option. Instead, he wants her help!
Sami says, "EJ, the only thing I want to talk to you about it how quickly we can get that annulment."
Victor yells at Lexi to tell him what's wrong with Bo.
Tony says to Stefano, "I wonder if you'll ever know the true extent of all your evil."
