Billie interrogates Nick and Chelsea, Belle and Claire are kidnapped and Marlena and John reunite!
Chelsea summons Nick to the pub and tells him she feels bad for what happened with Ford Decker and she shouldn't have told Nick the truth. Nick is unhappy with being an accessory but Chelsea says they agreed not to keep anymore secrets from each other. She asks him to keep quiet about it but Nick can't. He says Ford's mom was in tears on TV earlier. He wants her to come forth. Chelsea can't do anything until Morgan and the others come back from break, she says. They need to vote to tell the police the truth. Nick laughs that they have to vote on everything. "First we have to vote on the Valentine's dance and then we have to vote on how to figure out what to do with the frat guy we killed," he says sarcastically. Billie shows up to tell the two the police report came back from the search and a contact lens matching Ford's prescription was found in the basement. Chelsea says they keep the beer down there and Ford was down there all the time. Billie is skeptical and tells them once Ford's dad finds this information out, he won't let it go. He's an influential man and will go straight to the DA if he has a suspect. Billie reminds Chelsea that she's her daughter. She knows when she's hiding something. Nick lies for Chelsea and Billie admits there is no way to prove that Ford left that day, as they could not see Ford's face on the video, leaving that day. After Billie leaves, Nick is upset for lying and asks Chelsea to grow up and tell the truth. He asks her to make a conference call. "Do what's right. They'll listen to you," he says. He reminds her she's one of the strongest people he knows. If she doesn't come clean, he's not sure if they have a future together. Chelsea cries as he says he'll leave her if she doesn't get tell the truth.
Philip stops Belle from leaving Java Café. He apologizes for not coming clean with helping Chloe. Belle can't figure Phil out and asks how she's supposed to trust him as a friend or anything else. Philip remains her she embarrassed him in front of her family and asks that she not let this mistake to ruin them forever. From a table nearby, Crystal notices them! Belle says it's best they don't see each other anymore. She's angry with herself for messing up. Phil asks if this is about cheating but that's not it. She says it's about Claire and how she's destroyed any chance of her daughter having a normal childhood. She encouraged Claire to love two fathers. Phil thinks the more people who love Claire the better. Belle tells Phil she wants Shawn back but he hasn't shown indication he wants her back yet. She, Claire and her guard leave. Once gone, Crystal calls someone
"She's on the move. Let's get it right this time." Rob shows up. We see that he is sporting a tattoo on his wrist. They follow Belle.
A crummy old van sits in an alley, blocking Belle and her guard from driving through. The guard calls the police to inform them of the matter and gets out of the car to inspect. Belle receives a call from Philip who asks her to hear him out. Behind her car, Rob hides. Philip tells Belle he respects any decision she makes. Rob holds a gun to the guard's head as he reads the license plate out to the cops, "It's N31174." Rob tells the cop to turn around slowly but when he reaches for his gun, Rob shoots him. Twice. Belle cries out and Philip asks what's going on. She yells at Rob when he comes to take her and Claire hostage!
Philip shows up at the car and finds the guard is okay. Rob was shooting rubber bullets!
At Sami's place, Marlena appeals to EJ to help them find John for his son's sake. EJ gazes at Sami crying and finally admits that John's in Dr. Rolf's lab. Marlena and Sami weep in happiness. Bo wonders why and how John was resurrected. EJ doesn't know but says John was sedated when he saw him and Stefano says John's on some kind of mission. Marlena tells EJ she's unspeakably grateful to him. EJ promises to make a statement to the police and they'll get a warrant. Sami thanks EJ for all he has done but EJ isn't sure it'll matter. "You know my father. He has a way of getting out of these situations." He never thought he'd turn his back on his father. Sami reminds him of Stefano's misdeeds. EJ says it's all new to him. He never imagined his father was capable of cruel and inhumane behavior. He admired Stefano, even though he was stubborn and had a temper. All he wanted to do was please Stefano - to be like him. Sami thinks EJ is free. That may be true, he admits, but he's also on his own.
Roman, Bo, Hope and Marlena arrive at the mansion. Hope and Marlena run around back to break in and search for John while Bo and Roman prepare to enter the mansion - with a warrant!
Meanwhile, in Dr. Rolf's lab, John is re- programmed and forced to watch various versions of chaos and destruction. Stefano tells Rolf they've located their enemy and they need John to go to work. Rolf wants to wait until the timing is right but Stefano thinks Bo is on to them. Rolf says Bo doesn't know but Stefano flashes back to EJ threatening to tell the Brady's about John. "I really don't know," he says.
Stefano asks John a few questions. He answers everything correctly, according to Stefano. It's 2008, he is in Salem, has no family and belongs to Stefano. Stefano is happy to hear this until he asks what John's mission is. John says he's on a mission to get the hell out of there! Stefano says, "No, no, no. You can't get the hell out of here until I tell you that you're ready." Rolf enters the lab and tells Stefano he was right about the police. "They are here."
Hope and Marlena arrive at the lab, where they find John being deprogrammed. Marlena starts to shake. Hope tells her not to approach John until Bo arrives.
Bo and Roman arrive at Stefano's door and ask for John Black.
Back in the lab, a weeping Marlena goes to John. She touches him and calls his name. He flinches and she takes off the goggles from his face but he doesn’t notice her. She quietly asks, "What have they done?"

Stephanie tells Max, "I just want you to know how much I appreciate what you've done." She gives him a kiss!
Crystal says, "All we want to do is protect you." Belle wants to know, "From whom?"
Marlena brings John out to see Roman, Bo and Stefano.
