Nick meets Stephanie on the pier to discuss Jeremy. Stephanie becomes defensive, but Nick says since they're not friends, it makes sense that she should listen to him. He tells her that two cops at a bar in Vegas asked him a lot of questions about Jeremy, and that they implied that Jeremy was involved in something illegal. Stephanie panics and wants to tell Jeremy that the police are investigating him, but Nick stops her, saying that the police will find out he told her if she says anything. Nick urges her to tell him if there is anything illegal going on, but Stephanie thinks for a moment and says there's nothing. "You're wrong Nick. You are my friend and maybe the only one I have right now" Stephanie says with pain in her voice. Nick leaves and Jeremy shows up at the pier. Right away she confesses that he's being investigated by the police in Vegas. Jeremy kicks a few boxes in anger and demands she tell him who told her. Stephanie refuses to budge and when she wants to leave, Jer grabs her arm hard. Finally, Stephanie admits Nick told her and says he's worried about him. Jeremy thinks something isn't adding up and runs off.

Jett drops in on Abe visiting with an unconscious Roman. The two men go outside the hospital room and Jett confesses that he told Chelsea that he was an undercover agent for the ISA! Abe can't believe that Jett came clean, but Jett says he couldn't help it because Chelsea was suspicious and hurt. Abe comments that Jett let his personal issues enter into his work, and that's a mistake. Jett tells his uncle that he's his hero and reminds him of some advice that Abe once gave him as a child. "You said that family was the most important thing." Abe retorts that work is all he has outside of Theo. Jett encourages Abe to call Lexi, but Abe lets him know that Lexi doesn't want to see him. "The last time I saw her, I told her I wanted her out of my life for good… and I meant it!" he says. Of course now he feels differently, and if Lexi walked in, he'd beg her for forgiveness and hold her tight. "And I would tell her that I love her," he finishes, sadly. Jett leaves to get to his inquisition. "Hope you smooth things over with the suits," Abe says, and tells his nephew that sometimes you have to think with your heart!

Chelsea meets Kate at the Brady Pub, where Kate apologizes for blackmailing Nick to fake the paternity results in EJ's favor. They move on to discuss Chelsea's job and she says that it's over in a few weeks and then she's back in school fulltime. She barely had enough to cover her costs for school, she admits glumly, so Kate whips out the check for $50,000. Chelsea's eyes light up but she can't accept it when she thinks that there are strings attached. Kate says she wants what's best for her and doesn't want Chelsea to turn out like her! Chelsea can't help but wonder how she can give this money to her when Mythic is going under, but Kate makes her promise that she'll pay her back by getting a degree and bettering herself. Chelsea starts to weep, touched by Kate's words. "This shows me that you actually care." She tells her grandmother. Kate says of course she does and knows that her granddaughter has had a lot to deal with this past year. Chelsea mourns her poor behavior in the past year and admits sometimes she still doesn't feel like she belongs. She takes the check and hugs Kate and wishes there was something she could do to show her how she appreciates this. Kate tells her there is! "Maybe you could forgive your mother!" she urges. Kate says it was a mistake and reminds Chelsea that she and Nick weren't even together at the time. She calls Nick a good guy, and thinks Chelsea should forgive her mom for him and for herself.

Nick shows up at Brady Pub and a thrilled Chelsea shows Nick the $50,000 that Kate gave her. Nick acts surprised and says he is happy for her. Chelsea asks about his conversation with Stephanie and he says she doesn’t know anything. He feels bad about lying to Stephanie and Chelsea laughs and says her grandmother was right about him! She thanks him for his help and Chelsea asks him to meet her at the beach in an hour to discuss second chances. At the bar sits China Lee!!

Lexi hovers outside the Brady Pub cloaked in black. She's caught by Celeste, who wants to know what her get up is all about. Lexi admits she's hiding and while she's still in therapy, Andre is still out there, so she's still in fear for her life. Celeste suggests she got o Abraham for protection but Lexi's too afraid. No amount of coaxing can persuade her, so Celeste tells her that she may as well go back to the abandoned tunnel because this is no way to live. Lexi is hurt and Celeste immediately apologizes. She just wants her daughter's happiness. "He's better off without me," Lexi says sadly of Abe. Celeste is sure that Abe wants to see her, but she thinks he too is afraid of getting his heart broken. Lexi thinks she deserves to be punished and lists her faults. Celeste asks if she too deserves punishment. "No," Lexi doesn’t think so. Celeste reminds Lexi that everyone in Salem was controlled by the DiMeras at one time or another but asks that she not let them control her future. She reminds Lexi they're in a war with the DIMeras and the Bradys and that Theo's in it too. She says they made Elvis a rapist and a would be murder.

Kate visits a still unconscious Roman in the hospital and tells him that if he were awake, he'd be wondering why she was there. She mentions Sami's rape and says that it's true she didn't believe her at first but that she wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even Sami. She tells him that she made a really big mistake. "I don't know why I'm telling you this!" she says but thinks it's because he's unconscious or that she used to think of him as her conscious. She confesses to sleeping with Stefano for money. Roman turns his head, opens his eyes and croaks incredulously, "You did what??" Kate wants to get a doctor, but Roman asks her not to. He hopes that she's not being truthful about what she did, but she says that she doesn’t want to discuss it. She says she saved her company, but Roman tells her she sold her soul. He says life's too short to go backwards. "You are not that woman anymore Kate. I can see it. Why can't you?" Kate is surprised that Roman always sees the good in her and thinks she still has self respect. She says she got what she wanted and doesn't think that Stefano or anyone controls her. "I'd rather laugh with the sinners," she says and kisses Roman goodbye. The doctor arrives to check on Roman and once outside his door, Abe greets Kate. Abe goes off to give Shawn and Caroline the good news.

At the pub, Lexi and Abe are surprised when they come face to face!
