Abby gets another surprise visitor, Nick finds out the truth and Duck saves the day!
Abby forces Max to hide in the bathroom of her hotel room while she answers the door to her father. She tells Jack that she's tired and ready for bed! He's puzzled and tells her that he feels bad about coming down on her earlier, regarding Max. He says, "You're a very inexperienced 18 whereas Max is…" She stops him and asks if they can discuss it tomorrow. He agrees to it and lets her know he trusts her judgment completely. He leaves the room.
Inside the bathroom, Max listens intently when he hears his name. After Jack leaves, Abby lets Max out of the bathroom and Abby asks him to spend the night in her hotel with her. Double Entendres ensue until the two are interrupted by a knock on the door. Chelsea surprises Abby! The girls sit and discuss the arson at Bo and Hopes and Abby tells her friend that she believes that she didn't start the fire. Max comes out of hiding, much to Chelsea's surprise and tells her that she can trust him. Abby offers both Max and Chelsea to stay with her overnight.
The girls fool around, throwing food into Max's mouth and the laughter wakes up Jack. He comes over and asks what the commotion is. Abby tells him that Chelsea surprised her, and they were just having a late dinner. Chelsea and Jack hug and a satisfied father goes off to bed! Once Jack is gone, Abby suggests they all go to bed.
Kayla arrives at the State Mental Hospital to an angry Steve. He tells her he's upset that she got so heavily involved with the DiMeras but she doesn't listen to him. Instead, she explains that she got lucky in Italy. Steve tells Kayla he's in the middle of a really good self-help book when she tries to explain and she tells him that this isn't the time for jokes. He tells her she's still not in the clear, even if she got great information on her trip. She realizes that EJ threatened him but all he tells her is that she should be afraid of the DiMeras. This doesn't appear to frighten Kayla and she tells him that she went to see Stefano. Steve is utterly amazed and thinks that what she did was crazy, especially since she got Maxwell involved. She tells him Max wanted to help her and then she pulls out photos and fingerprints of Stefano. Steve tells her that this doesn't tie EJ Wells to the crime but she tells him, "I know that. That's where you come in." Kayla asks him to testify against EJ Wells but they tousle on his bed and he refuses to help. Instead kisses her roughly. She gets up afterward and leaves, hurt.
Nick barges in on Sami at home to tell her that he caught EJ hacking into her hospital records! Sami is visibly upset by the news and apologizes for getting him involved. Nick is more interested in finding out why EJ would be looking into her files. Sami starts to cry as Nick asks her to tell him the truth about whether or not EJ could be the father of her baby. She tells him that she didn't cheat on EJ but asks him to stay out of it. Nick puts two and two together and quietly asks her, "Sami, did he rape you?" Sami doesn't answer but tears stream down her face. He worries that EJ won't let this go. She knows, she says but goes on to say that in a situation like this, you can either give in or fight. He reiterates her motto as, "Desperate times call for desperate measures." She tells him while it doesn't always work for her; she always makes a choice to do the right thing for someone she loves. While they talk, it's obvious that he's relating what she's doing to his situation with Chelsea and asks her to be careful. Nick leaves.
Lucas arrives at the hospital to discuss the issue with Sami's amniocentesis. The doctor is perplexed and tells him that his fiancé never had an amniocentesis! They wonder if Sami did the amnio as a precaution, and Lucas shares the name of the doctor who left the message, so the doctor goes off to check if another doctor ordered it.
EJ stands behind a door listening in and smirking to himself. When the doctor goes off to check on the tests, he goes over to say hello to Lucas. Lucas of course thinks EJ is stalking him, but EJ claims he's there for his annual check-up. Lucas reluctantly tells him that he's there for Sami and then asks him "Why don't you get over your sick obsession with Sami?" He tells EJ that he doesn’t want him anywhere near Sami outside of work. The doctor comes back and tells Lucas that there has been no record of an amniocentesis being done for Sami.
EJ bangs on Sami's door but Will answers and tells him that she's busy. EJ goes home and once Will is back inside, he tells Sami that EJ was looking for her and he didn't look happy!
Lucas arrives home and they discuss the green wedding. Lucas wants them to all paint their faces green for the ceremony and they all have a chuckle about it.
EJ is heading into his apartment as he talks to someone on his cell phone about Samantha's schedule tomorrow. He is happy to find out that she'll be at the Brady Pub tomorrow!
Shawn spies on Phillip and Kate as they interrogate Gabby downstairs. When Gabby lets them know that Belle, Shawn and Claire left yesterday, Kate offers to help Philip look elsewhere for them. Philip tells Gabby that his best friend ran off with his wife and ripped the daughter he calls his own, out of his hands. Shawn tip toes upstairs while Philip tells Gabby he's not leaving there until he knows she's being honest.
Shawn asks Belle to leave through the window, but Belle has concerns that Claire will fall. He assures her that they have to stay one step ahead of Philip and that's just the way it is. Belle is pig-headed and refuses to leave.
Downstairs, Philip wants to search the hotel but Gabby refuses to allow it, so Kate looks through the hotel reservation book and finds that they're in room 202. Philip barges into room 202 against Gabby's wishes and finds a man sitting by the window. He asks what this is all about and Philip freaks out. He demands that Gabby give him her room key, thinking that they could be inside her room. When she doesn't comply, he removes it from her pocket on his own and tries to get in. Gabby grabs the key back from him as Duck comes to the rescue! Duck grabs Philip away from his daughter and tells him that the couple has already left as Gabby has stated. He asks him to leave. Philip pays for ruining the door and he and Kate leave. Gabby gives her dad a big hug!
Inside Gabby's room, Belle tries to go into Gabby's closet but she finds that there are all sorts of baby clothes and baby items stocked in the closet. After Philip and Kate leave, Gabby lets Belle, Shawn and Claire out of her room and gives Belle her diamond ring back. She generously offers to give her boat to them to leave the island if Shawn fixes it. Belle apologizes to Gabby for everything and Gabby promises she won't say a thing about Belle's insecurities.

Kayla tells EJ "I'm not giving up until you're arrested and put somewhere where you can't hurt anyone.. in a coffin!"
