Days of Our Lives: David Leisure and Catherine Wadkins Join Cast!

Salem is about to get two new characters on the scene, and Soaps.com is happy to report that they aren't strangers to Daytime!

First we have actor David Leisure set to arrive as the new District Attorney. Though an air date has yet to be released, Ken Corday (Days' Producer) teases that he'll have a few cases to keep him occupied! Aside from many Primetime and movie credits, David most recently appeared on CBS' The Young and the Restless as Roger Wilkes for twenty episodes in 2009.

Next, when the body of a man named Carlo turns up, Catherine Wadkins' character will appear as what else - a widow! Expect to see her on August 3 and 4, where she'll appear in a few shots with Phillip (Jay Kenneth Johnson). Catherine was last seen in Daytime playing another widow, Mary Bishop, on General Hospital in 2004.

I have seen David Leisure doing comedy before, and am not sure if I will find him believable in the seriousness of a soap. Maybe we'll find him bringing a lighter note to the shows dealings with Sami and Ej. Hope he makes a good backdrop for Nicole. She can be funny at times.

You forgot to mention his biggest accomplishment - Mr. Leisure was liar Joe Izuzu in those Izuzu car commercials back in the late '80s. Funny stuff!

I hope Sami gets Johnny back and All rights for EJ are stripped away from him...... he never deserved a son let alone another one from Sami! She needs to find out the truth about everything and get sole custody of Sydney as well!
