As Soaps.com reported late last month, Canadian born actor, Gordon Thomson is heading into Salem this spring/summer.

Thomson is well known for his portrayal of evil Adam Carrington on Primetime soap, "Dynasty," and when the show wound up, he went on to play in other daytime dramas such as the now defunct "Santa Barbara," "The Young and the Restless," "Sunset Beach," "Passions," and "Ryan’s Hope," as well as additional Primetime spots.

The actor has already begun taping and is said to have signed on for five episodes as Walter, Owen the gardener’s father. Though we don’t know Thomson’s first air date, we do know Owen isn’t just a regular gardener. He’s also working for Stefano! Does this mean Walter will also be on the DiMera payroll? Will he be deliciously evil as many of his other characters? We’ll find out that when he first airs.

UPDATE May 13: A rep for the studio tells us Gordon's first appearance as Walter is Tuesday May 18!
