The United Democratic Headquarters is hosting a viewing of Obama’s acceptance speech at 6 PM this evening.
Where? : Blair International Baccalaureate Magnet School Amphitheater in Pasadena.

Guest host is James Reynolds and includes guest speakers, music and a recitation of King’s speech. The amphitheater is located on the school campus at 1201 S. Marengo Ave., in Pasadena.

Immortalized in comics!

Ashley Benson is one busy gal. Not only can you catch her movie, "The Fab Five" again on Sunday August 24 on Lifetime, (check your local listings for airtime) but you can also catch her immortalized in a comic book. Say what? According to her fan site, Ashley will be on the new issue of X-Men Origins: Jean Grey. In the comic, Ashley is seen as a teenage Jean Grey. We hear she had a good time working on this project, and for all you fans, you can pick up the issue today!

Matthew Ashford Movie News!

Matthew is a busy man. He's shooting a movie, "Winning Favor", currently. He plays Loren DeJong.

Loren is head coach of the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District basketball team in Orange City, Iowa. The film follows the 2005 boy's teams from MOC-Floyd Valley and Unity Christian schools. The movie's all about the power of friendships and is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2009.

Candace (from our Y&R section) was kind enough to forward this to me today. If you Judi Evans fans want to spend the day with her on July 4th, here is what you need to do. Check out this link! She'll be appearing tomorrow at a Fourth of July fireworks festival! Let me tell you all that I've met Judi and she is a wonderfully genuine and fun person to talk with. From Days Into Night Site. "What Most of you May Know: At the end of the 1985 season, the Taylors Football League hit the bottom. Facing financial disaster because of outstanding debts, the newly elected Board of Directors took a stand and decided not to let the once proud league close its doors or hearts to the communities it served. Several fund raising activities were initiated which generated only a small amount of funds. Nearly exhausted by their efforts to rekindle the dying league, the board decided to follow up on a suggestion for a Celebrity Softball Game with guest from soap operas." Massachusetts Days JDRF Event!

Those of you who are in the Massachusetts area should consider setting aside time on August 23, 2008 to involve yourself in a charity event to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and to meet the stars of Days Of Our Lives!

Sponsorships start at $1,500. The donation will enable access for one person. If you would like to invite a friend, the sponsorship increases to $2,500. Also, because this is considered to be a donation, you will receive a form from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation stating that you have donated this money, and of course a tax break.
