As we figured, in addition to Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) leaving DOOL, his sexy costar, Leann Hunley (Anna DiMera) was also let go. At the same time we see Thaoo’s departure, Anna will be headed off canvas. In her blog, she thanked fans for their support over the year and a half she has been back to the show, and says she’ll miss her character, “more than just a little."

It's a real pity that they didn't use the characters of Tony and Anna more, especially with Stephano back on canvas. It would have really been a fabulous time for another Dimera storyline, with all of these characters milling about, after John finding out he was a Dimera, and Lexie around, everything just sort of fizzled out. Now were stuck with Chloe/Daniel/Lucas and Stephanie/Melanie/Phillip triangles (*barf).

i think it's BS that they are getting the boot. by the time the firings are over there will only be a young cast, peter reckell, and kristian alfonso. anna & tony are hilarious together and i wish they were staying. too many good actors are getting the boot.

I THINK ANNA AND ROMAN WOULD BE GOOD TOGETHER. ROMAN NEEDS A LOVE INTEREST.

I don't like it at all. They were part of the great heydey when ratings were high and storylines were great. There was so much potential for storylines for these two but because the new writers know nothing about how great they were on the show long ago, they just write them out. I don't like the fact that the charactor of Tony dies. I wish they would have made it where the door would be left open for his return. After all, yrs ago, ratings were very high when he played and still would if they used him more.
