There have been a lot of great points made/shared here by everyone and I agree with them. I truly feel that when Daniel and Chelsea first met that the show was on their way to bringing some romance back to Days. I loved that Chelsea and Daniel met in a chance encounter and they it was left for them to wonder that day at the park bench "will i ever see this person again". Then bam, Chelsea ends up at the hospital, Daniel ends up at the hospital b/c of his page and what do you know, Daniel turns out to be Victor's godson, Bo's doctor and the mystery man that Chelsea had just met at the park but never expected to see again.....i really loved that. Then we got to watch the innocent flirting between the two of them begin. I remember watching many scenes in the beginning where Chelsea and Daniel ran into each other. Chelsea was a bit clumsy in the beginning, i mean the poor girl accidently wiped her hand on his pants, then shes at the hospital flipping through a magazine, daniel walks up sneaks a peak at what shes looking at startles her and she accidently spills coffee on his jeans again....yes it was clumsy but it was cute, she was visibly worried about a lot of things and each time Daniel was able to calm her. Everytime Daniel has seen Chelsea, I have seen his face light up, his eyes sparkle and yes hes not very good with his emotions b/c he has a hard time with words especially when shes around. I have seen both Chelsea and Daniel share laugther, casual conversation and intense emotional scenes together. The one thing that has stuck out about them especially in the beginning is their feelings toward one another. Now I have seen some posters refer to Daniel and Chelsea as instant love, i have seen some say that she has a hero worship complex for Daniel and I have seen these two called every name in the book by some posters. All I have to say to that is.....its their opinion and yes we are all intitled to our own opinion. There are many loyal fans of Days that have really connected with Daniel and Chelsea for different reasons.......some have been thru a similar story themselves but we each have our own reasons for wanting and loving this story. I have been a fan of Days for over 15 years and I adore the romance that we have seen between Bo and Hope, John and Marlena, Kayla and Steve and many of the other couples that are have come and gone. For me, that same chemistry that I see between all these characters is the same chemistry that i see between Chelsea and Daniel. I truly feel that Chelsea and Daniel are a unique couple and I was truly ecstatic to see their first date. Chelsea was a few minutes late but that was ok b/c when Daniel turned around and seen her standing there....it was well worth the wait for him and as a viewer i just found that scene so breath taking as well. He was a bit nervous which was very understandible given the fact that he hasn't experienced the full meaning of a real date but he was completely speechless and his breath was taken away by Chelsea's beauty. He was at a loss for words when she came closer to him and when she turned around and saw Bo and Hope and started to panic, Daniel was there to stand by her, the two of them faced the music together knowing that Bo would have reservations about Chelsea being Daniel's date. I loved how Chelsea and Daniel had a casual yet real conversation about their date and her family in general. When i thought their date had been cut short, Daniel being the romantic that he is, didn't want it to end so when he said "No, Wait You're Coming With Me" i was literally clapped.....I mean how great is this guy!!!! He really did pull out all the stops for their first date. I absolutely loved how he balanced everything in a professional yet charming romantic nature...the fact that he had their dinner delivered, surprised her with a lei and in turn she surprised him by telling him she was proud of him and was creative with her own surprise to him. The dancing at the end was just beautiful. After seeing all that, I thought to myself, how could their dates top this one. Even though their date was cut short at the Annual Brady 4th of July BBQ it was still refreshing to watch these two. I especially love how Chelsea and Daniel both made the decision to stand up for their relationship to Bo, Victor, Kate, Lexie and anyone else who stood in their way. I found their rooftop surprise and dancing to be completely breath taking and passionate. I was so amazed by these two with the amount of emotion that I seen in those scenes. Daniel a romantic at heart surprised Chelsea then showed her the view. They layed together just sharing small talk, living in the moment and enjoying the still of the night. The dancing at the end brought tears to my eyes for many reasons. One being the intensity, two being the longing to be together looks in their eyes, and three their was so much emotion in that scene. When Chelsea wrapped her arms around Daniel's neck and placed her head on his shoulder's the two of them gently closed their eyes completely lost in the moment. They were truly glad to be with each other, to be able to spend time together, to hold each other in their arms tightly so tight that they never wanted to let go. Their last scene together in which Chelsea prepared a romantic night with Daniel would of been another great scene but it was obviously cut short and I know i was very disappointed.
On an end note, i could really go on but I think I have explained or at least have tried to explain to Days and to anyone else here how we feel and what we see as viewers when we see Daniel and Chelsea together. I truly feel that this couple has great potential and they truly do bring out the best in each other. Chelsea gets Daniel and Daniel gets Chelsea!!!!! Please give them a chance Days!!!!!

I've loved Chelsea and Daniel together from the first time I saw them in the park. They have so much Chemistry. I just want to see them make there way back to each other.

I don't agree that the majority of fans don't like Daniel and Chelsea. I think just the opposite. There are so many fans that have been rooting for them from the very beginning and are very upset with what the writers have done to break them up. There are tons of sites set up to support Daniel and Chelsea, tons of fan videos made of them, hundreds of letters sent to the writers/producers showing their support of these two...fans are out there and are ready to fight for this couple. I have been watching the show for over 20 years and Daniel and Chelsea so far have been my favorite couple since Jack and Jennifer.

I have watched the show for over 42 years. I love Daniel and Chelsea because they remind me of Doug and Julie. Doug was also quite a bit older than Julie, but their romance set the screen on fire. They were so hot they made the cover of Time Magazine. A lot of people think Luke and Laura were the hottest couple ever on a soap opera. I think that is because they never saw Doug and Julie.

Days needs a new, lasting hot romance on the show. Daniel and Chelsea can give us that. I'm just afraid that by making Kate sick and putting her is the hospital, she will have constant access to Daniel and that will be the end of the Daniel and Chelsea romance.

I agree with you Chrissie, Sami's glasses are driving me crazy. That's all I can think about when she is on.

Wow, according to this sampling of comments, there are many Dansea fans. Well, I'm not. Just thought I would try to balance it. I do not particularly like Chelsea first of all and how badly she has treated Nick and led him on, etc. I think she is too much of a child still to be hooking up with an older established "famous" doctor. I think it is creepy of him to rob the cradle too.

HOWEVER, the whole hooking up with Kate thing...even more creepy of the famous doctor. YUCK!! Even if I were a fan of Dansea, I wouldn't be able to get past that if I were Chelsea. How gross a thought--your boyfriend and grandma!! No way! Sorry to have such a horrible ending for the Dansea fans.

BTW, I have dated an older man before and honestly looking back I get creeped out at the thought...probably why I don't like Dansea.

I also would like to state that I am through and through a Ejami fan. I like Nicole alot, but not messing up my fave couple. Bring back Eric for her--he was her first love in Salem after all. Plus, Sami and her could still fight.

I thought Sami's glasses were great. I think she may be wearing them to hide the pudge from the pregnancy. When they are on, her face looks slimmer. The on/off was a little distracting but maybe she just couldn't get comfy in them. Idk.

daysfan2582, I really enjoyed your post. I have really enjoyed the build up to the romance of Daniel and Chelsea. This is the first romance I have enjoyed for a long time. I believe they have great chemistry together. I can't believe Kate did what she did knowing that Chelsea had feelings for Daniel, regardless of the fact she thought it was just a silly crush. I just have a problem that Kate wrote Daniel a text message knowing that he was meeting Chelsea at his apartment. It was almost as if she planned this to happen. Every chance Kate gets, she is near Daniel. I think she is jealous of the fact that Chelsea is happy.

I hope that the writers bring them back together, but if they don't, then I hope they don't put Daniel with Kate. I wouldn't mind seeing Daniel with someone else. Maybe Nicole.. I do like Nicole with EJ but I also like EJ and Sami so I am torn on them. I hope they reconsider and bring them back together.

I would like to see Chelsea not involved with anyone for awhile. Her first love, Nick, betrayed her with her Mom. And her 2nd love, Daniel betrayed her with her grandmother.

She is young and beautiful, and is just now beginning to like herself. She needs to concentrate on her education, her work, and her friends & family. She can stay uninvolved and keep her heart to herself for a while. No need to jump in and commit herself so quickly.

Hopefully, Nick will get hooked up with Melanie, but he and Chelsea will remain life-long friends. Dan can fade off into the sunset somewhere and someday become a fond memory.

Chelsea will meet a real man some day who does not get drunk and go sleep with the nearest woman who wants to make him feel good.

I did not like the "summer romance" story line where everyone was "doing" everyone that they should not have been doing.

All the men...John, Dan, Lucas, and EJ...and Sami and Chloe!

Is there no loyalty? Is there no honor?

More people who will have to face up and take responsibilty for their actions...

I really like Morgan wish she would stay with Phill. E.J and Sami would make just the right pair to get in Stefinos hair. They are both "crafty" and they could dig up a lot of dirt on him in that old house of his. If they worked together wow!! Talk about finding "Good stuff" out.
Hate John's robot actions. The way he talks, the tone of his voice is anoying,People that have lost their past on this show befor but they didn't talk like a emotionless computor. Kate needs some one but not Daniel.Could not believe they used the same story line on Chelsea two times. First with her mom and Nick then Grandma and Daniel? I think that is a little much for even a soap!! And if she goes to Paris and hooks up with Nick why can't she stay home forgive Daniel hook up with him. Whats the difference Forgive Nick or Daniel
Why not put Stefeno in prison for a while? He could run his stuff from inside, it happens all the time.

I'm also a big fan of the Daniel and Chelsea pairing and I hate what the show is doing. Why do they have to break them up? It started out to be such a beautiful written love story and in the course of two months it went downhill. I just don't understand what the show is thinking. I'm extremely dissapointed right now and I hope that they put them back together soon.
