It's that time of year again, to open your hearts, and wallets, to a wonderful cause, and watch The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s 2008 Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon, which will be broadcast, for the third year, from the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas.

As children, you probably watched the telethon, and this year, you may be introducing your own children to this popular telethon, again, hosted by soap star, Alison Sweeney, (Sami, Days of Our Lives) who hosted Last Year's Event, amongst other celebrities such as Ton Bergeron, of Dancing With The Stars', comedian, Norm Crosby and award-winning singer, Billy Gilman.

Ed McMahon, who is also a member of the MDA Board of Directors, will be making his 42nd appearance as Telethon anchor!

The MDA is a voluntary health agency, working to defeat not just MD, but 40 diseases through programs of worldwide research, public health education and the programs are funded almost entirely by private contributors.

This year's show will air from 9 PM EDT, August 31 to 6:30 PM, September 1. Please check your local listings for broadcast airtimes in your own area.
