Last we saw him, the normally conservative Mickey had just come off an outlandish affair (and short lived marriage) with the rambunctious Bonnie Lockhart. When his presumed dead wife, Maggie returned from Melaswen, after being "killed" by the Salem Stalker, Mickey was torn between the two women, but ultimately reunited with Maggie. Since then, we haven't seen the character onscreen, but the residents of Salem still mention him when they need legal advice.
With his first scenes set to occur at Chez Rouge, Kevin Dobson will be the fourth actor to portray Mickey Horton. No stranger to soaps, Dobson played judge Devin Owens on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2006-2007 and Governor Harrison Brooks on One Life to Live from 2003-2004. Although not a daytime soap, Dobson made his mark on the primetime sudser, Knots Landing from 1982-1993 as Mack. The established actor has also appeared in numerous primetime series and recently completed shooting the film "Portal," and is currently filming, "Doesn't Texas Ever End."
After Mickey's two year absence from the Days canvas, it will be interesting to see Dobson's take on the long standing role. We can't wait to see what he has in store for the character and hope it means big things for the Horton family!
