Last Saturday, several of Days of Our Livescast members and crew headed up to beautify the North Hollywood Park at 11455 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood, CA. Somewhere around 40 were in attendance as they planted 15 trees, cleaned up several flowerbeds, picked up trash and raked leaves in support of NBC Universal's "Green is Universal" campaign!

Attendance wasn't limited to Days cast and crew alone, family and friends of some of the stars came out to show their support. Who was there? Deidre Hall (Marlena), Alison Sweeney (Sami), Stephen Nichols (Steve), James Scott (EJ), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe), Brandon Beemer (Shawn), Darin Brooks (Max), Blake Berris (Nick), Matthew Florida (Ford), and Kristen Renton (Morgan). Everyone wore green t-shirts with the "Green is Universal" logo, and hoped that this event would encourage fans to beautify their own local communities!

"Planting a tree is a gift we give to our children, our town, and our planet. If feels good on every level, and I highly recommend it!" said Deidre Hall. Tom Leveque added, “It was a pleasure working with the cast of Days of Our Lives this weekend." Tom is a North Hollywood Park Maintenance Supervisor for the Department of Recreation & Park, City of Los Angeles. He continues, “The staff and I really appreciated all of their hard work in helping to beautify the park and we look forward to their next visit.”

Kudos to all that donated their time on this worthwhile project. Soaps.com hopes the fans take notice and follow in their favorite star's footsteps!

I think its so cute how they did stuff like that, it must have been a lot of fun! We did that at our school and everyone had so much fun! It's also cute how Alison brang Ben and how Matthew Florida brang his brand new son Ryan. Good work everyone!
