Drake Hogestyn (John Black) fatal accident (Soaps.com)
Well the cat is out of the bag, and has been for quite some time now. Sworn to secrecy about this little tidbit for weeks, I was unable to share that this week on Days, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is involved in a pretty serious car accident that will kill him.
The buzz has been going around because someone leaked it too early, unfortunately. This has created a stir with Days of Our Lives, and we've been inundated with emails begging for confirmation that this is coming to pass. Well folks, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. It's always difficult to sit on something this huge, especially when my friends at the Drake Hogestyn fan club come seeking information. (Sorry I couldn't spill, gals!)
Days fans are going to be hurled into a heart wrenching storyline where John Black will be hit by a car, forced to say goodbye to his family, and then passes on, with the family asking… "WHY?!" Fans are asking the same question. All I can tell you is that when I first received this tidbit from my pals at the show, I asked them if Drake was leaving the show. They normally don't comment on contract status, so this is what they asked me to tell all you fellow Drake/John fans. "Things in Salem may not always be what they seem. The show has no official comment at this time. Guess we need to tune in to see how it all plays out!" This death may not mean the end of John Black, so let's all just hang in there and see how the story plays out. (These are just my thoughts here. Please don't email me to ask if he's coming back because I don't know! I'll post if there is any change, promise.)
