* Joseph Mascolo (Stefano DiMera) will not return to the show as Days Of Our Lives elected not to pick up his contract for another season. Show contacts are not at liberty to discuss actor's private contracts. They will only say, "Joe's character Stefano is still in a coma and that's where he will remain for now. I can't really comment on contracts and his status with the show."


* The role of Dr. Amber Kress will be played by Erika Page White. Dr. Kress will first air on Tuesday, May 20th.

* Previous rumors had stated that Roscoe Born was coming to the show as Ava’s father. I asked the show if this was true. They deny this. But, you didn't ask me if he was coming to the show as someone else! He will be coming to the show as Dean Robbins on May 29. Read more here Roscoe Born to Days.

* Hello and goodbye. Ricky Dean Logan will be leaving Salem as Earl, in a final way, May 2. Read more about Ricky here

* Sean Blakemore comes to Days on Friday, May 2nd to help with Tony and Kate's commercial. More news to come!

* Bryan Dattilo has returned to taping as Lucas Horton this past Monday April 21. According to Alison Sweeney's blog on NBC. Looks like we will see his return May 19!)

* Another one of our ex-Days cast members goes to another soap! Jason Cook ex-Shawn Brady, heads to GH! More on that in our GH pages!

* For those of you who have asked, Joe Mascolo (stefano) will not be seen on canvas anytime soon. This is an official comment from my pal at Days.

* This is neat! Patrick Dobson, Kevin Dobson’s son, will be playing the role of a cop on Monday, April 28th. (He will be in scenes with Steve, Kayla, Max and Stephanie.)


* The role of Martino Vitali has been cast in the form of Joe Penny. More about that Here.

* A few of you have asked about a rumor about Alexa Havins, who played Babe on AMC, coming to Days. Soap Opera Digest has confirmed this is not true, even before we had a chance to ask!

* Guess what?! The Biggest Loser's Trainer, trainer Jillian Michaels gets to take a peek at what the show's host Alison Sweeney's (Sami) day job is like! She's going to be guest starring on DAYS on April 22, at the Salem Health Club with EJ, Nicole and Maggie in attendance! * Ricky Dean Logan will be coming to Days on a recurring role April 15. More word on his character to follow!

Frances Reid - Alice Horton is not coming to see Bo in the hospital. I spoke to a rep from the show and they told me this: "We will not be seeing her anytime soon. Usually she comes in on a major holiday."


A few updates!

* Arianne Zuker, is returning April 2 to play bad girl Nicole Walker once again. We'll see her in scenes with Chloe, arguing about Brady's disappearance, and we may see her involved in the Sami/EJ storyline! Story here.

* Martha Madison (Belle Brady) was let out of her contract and will have a month to wrap up her storyline before she leaves the show. This is official news and comes straight from her website. Last airdate is March 24. Officially. Read more on that HERE.

* Brandon Beemer (Shawn Brady) has also been let go and will have a month to wrap up the storyline before you see him go. Both have stated they're grateful for their run and will be taping for the next few weeks. Last airdate is March 24. Officially.

Incidentally, both actors have reported that this firing was a slap in the face to them. They're sad about the firing but look for Martha Madison to seek work on another soap in New York! We'll keep tabs on her and let you know if she winds up elsewhere! We wish both the best!

* Kevin Dobson joins the cast of Days as “Mickey Horton.” “Mickey" will first appear at Chez Rouge on Tuesday, April 1st. Story here!.

* Ron Leath returns as “Henderson” on Wednesday, April 2nd. You remember Henderson, Victor's butler, right? If you have more information on Ron, let us know, so we can fill up his bio!

* The new SOD's cover page says something about Bo leaving... contrary to the cover, there is no story inside that tells that Peter Reckell is leaving and since they get their information the same place we do, we'd know when they know. Just remember that they have to sell their magazine by it's cover so you have to read the actual story inside before you believe the cover teasers. If we hear he's leaving, we'll post here.

* Linden Ashby is coming to Days to play a customs worker, Paul, on Monday March 17. Read more about this right here!

* The role of “Angelo,” one of “Ava’s” goons, will be played by Angelo Tiffe. Angelo will first air on Monday, March 24th

* All you American Gladiator fans are in for a surprise when Mike O'Hearn ("Titan") guest stars on Days of Our Lives Friday March 14. Article to follow!

* Jeff Chase will be playing the role of “Eddie,” one of “Ava’s” goons. He will first air on Thursday, March 6th.


* Sexy Shawn Christian will be joining Days as "Dr. Daniel Jonas." His first airdate is March 4th. More about that here.
