Engineering Rockets for Nasa.

Will arrives at Java Café and shows Mia the medal. Why did she give it to Chad? She tells him she lost it but Will says she’s lying. He knows. He grew up with Sami as his mother and can tell. He breaks off with her and leaves.

Ari and Brady arrive and refuse to let their siblings squabble upset their mood. Ari finds Gabi nearby, and Gabi sadly tells Ari that guys suck. Mia watches, smirking from the counter. Gabi explains what Chad said and wonders why Chad likes Mia. Ari says they’ve a bond from having a baby together. Gabi notices Ari’s ring and Gabi’s thrilled that she’s marrying Brady, but refuses to be her maid of honor. Gabi thinks she and Brady should elope. Mia drops by when Ari leaves and tells Gabi it’s a smart move on Chad’s part to dump her. Gabi tells Mia to drop dead and leaves the café. Mia warns she’ll be more upset when she’s through with her.

Nearby, Ari and Brady decide to elope. Vivian walks in and tells Gus she will do Lawrence proud.
Vivian arrives to Salem PD and makes cracks about Carly’s relationship with the police commissioner. Daniel and Carly leave the room while Bo warns Vivian. She laughs it up and then tells him goodbye. Once she’s gone, Bo tells Carly that Vivian’s going down. Bo drags Carly into his office and wants to discuss their future. They kiss but Carly’s pager goes off. She leaves the room and Bo calls somebody to let them know this craziness with Vivian’s going to end.
Anna leaves the Kiriakis mansion and fantasizes she’s being shot by EJ. She calls Nicole, saying she couldn’t get the pardon. Lois isn’t happy Nicole’s getting calls on her cell. Anna has one more idea. Nicole gives her 12 hours and slams the phone shut in a rage. She’s got to talk to somebody. She calls Rafe.

Horsepucky.

Ari arrives at Rafe’s office and says she’s getting married. They hug. Ari’s sure that they’ll be happy as will Sami and Rafe.

Outside the pub, Sami apologizes to Brady for what happened at her place. She says she’s looking for a job when they’re interrupted by a call from Nicole. She listens to him say hello, but can’t get it together enough to respond, so she hangs up.

Inside the pub, Rafe and Ari toast to the upcoming nuptials. Sami and Brady walk in. It’s awkward. Sami’s happy Rafe’s there and not in the office. He tells her he’s still working on the case and is positive they’ll find something. Sami tells Rafe how different EJ is. His focus is on Sydney, not whoever took her. Rafe sarcastically says that supports the fact that he’s the real father while Rafe’s just the FBI guy? Sami says he’d see this if he were there. Brady and Arianna interrupt wanting to coordinate their wedding date. Rafe’s been busy and Sami says she’s got her eye on a clerical job at the FBI office. She’s hoping Rafe can give her a recommendation. There’s an onsite daycare and the hours are great as is the pay. Rafe doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

Carly's Turkey Baster.

At the pub, Arianna and EJ make small talk. He offers her a job and doesn’t mind that she has a criminal record. She says she completed college in prison and EJ thinks she does a good place of running the pub. He hands her his card.

Outside the pub, Brady looks at the engagement ring. He comes inside as Ari accepts EJ’s card. Ari said yes to EJ and no to him. He’s not happy but tells EJ he’s happy for him that Syd’s back. EJ thanks him and leaves and Brady sarcastically tells Ari EJ’s nice. They should go bowling sometime. Ari mentions he offered her a job. Brady asks her if she wants to go for coffee. She appears to want him to propose, but accepts coffee.

Arianna and Brady go to Java and Ari asks what it is he wanted to ask her. He says, "Arianna, will you…split a piece of cake with me?" Arianna’s tired of the games and admits she’s afraid to get everything she wants but hopes he’ll propose again. He toys with her and then finally gets down on bended knee and proposes. She accepts, readily, and they kiss.

Chloe meets Daniel at Java and they discuss Nicole. Is he concerned Carly will wind up in prison, too? Daniel’s too busy thinking about their upcoming wedding. They hug.

Brady and Arianna are at Java discussing their trip. She’s off to see Melanie. He promises to pick her up after work. Ari leaves and Chloe meets with Brady. They’re happy Sydney’s back. Off screen, he asks a favor of her and she agrees to it, then tells him she has a long drive ahead of her. She heads out.

Arianna arrives to see Rafe at work. Agent Clarke leaves as Rafe rants about how personal the case is. He hopes whoever is responsible for this is finished with the cruelty. Arianna wonders if he’s working late in order to be Sami’s hero. Rafe doesn’t like the criticism so Ari blurts out that Brady proposed and she turned him down. She explains why and tells Rafe not to screw things up with Sami when he’s so close to having it all. Later, Agent Clarke returns with more information and Ari leaves. Sami shows up after dropping Sydney off with Caroline, and seems offended when Rafe’s attention wavers from her to new case information coming in.

EJ goes to see Arianna at the pub and they discuss Sydney’s return. He thanks her for being able to see through his differences with Rafe.

Consolation Prize.

At the resort, Brady is surprised when Arianna refuses his proposal. She stammers and the phone rings. Brady needs to take it and leaves the room. Ari gets a call from Gabi, who complains about a minor issue at the bar. Ari tells her about the proposal and Gabi’s ecstatic but shocked that her sister said no. Brady returns and tries to pretend what happened didn’t happen, but it’s not working. Ari’s not good at saying what she feels so she shows him with a kiss. Brady pushes her away, wondering what that was. Arianna’s not ready to marry him but she wants to be with him. He asks if that was his consolation prize. Arianna says this isn’t just about love. She loves him enough to marry him but she doesn’t feel she’s grown up enough to. Brady grins. She ticks him off but makes perfect sense. He reserves the right to make future offers. They start kissing and head to bed.

Pollyanna.

Brady and Arianna arrive at a resort and Brady jokes that they’ll be ice fishing, to make Ari laugh. They fall into bed kissing, and have sex. Afterward, Brady dresses and leaves to get them sustenance. Once he is gone, Ari calls Gabi, who tells her to follow her heart with Brady. Arianna admits she thinks Brady could be the one. She feels she’s finally over her insecurities but won’t be Pollyanna. Outside their door, Brady tells the bellhop that he’s asking the woman inside to marry him. He shows the man a beautiful diamond ring and says he has wanted to do something special for a while. The bellhop thinks that’s wonderful and Brady drops the ring inside a champagne glass, smiling. He fantasizes that Ari has said yes to a proposal but chokes on the ring when she swigs the champagne. He frowns and decides it’s a bad idea to put the ring in the glass! He returns to the room with the champagne and each professes their love for one another. Brady’s happy she gave him so many chances and doesn’t want it to end. He wants them to be for life. He shows her the ring and proposes on bended knee. Arianna is shocked and declines.
