CHAD PETERSON WOODS'S HISTORY
Chad showed up at Java Cafe, where Mia was working. She was shocked to see him. Chad doesn't know Mia had his baby. Neither of them know that the child is not Sydney, like Mia thinks, but little Grace, who passed away from bacterial meningitis. As his portrayer has stated, "Chad Peterson has trouble written all over him, yet I believe he means well. There's a part of him that you hate, and love at the same time. He's a very confident, edgy, mysterious person. He's the type of person that can persuade you by his words. It's tough to break him, it seems like he's seen and been through a lot in the past...maybe a rough history with his parents, or abandonment issues. He will definitely bring out a side of Mia (Taylor Spreitler) that no one has ever seen before. The love triangle between Will/Mia/Chad is getting intense."
Chad has been marking his territory around Mia and is at odds with Will, who is close with Mia. Chad has found out that Mia went to rehab while he was away, but knowing her as he does, he doesn't believe it and wonders what she's hiding. When he tried to find the truth out, Nicole beat him to it and threatened him and his family.

Friday, November 06 2009: DiMera's Are Not Supposed to Forgive.
At the hospital, Nicole hopes Chad has changed his mind, considering there’s a chance he’s not Sydney’s father. Lexi walks by and overhears as Chad says he’s not afraid of Nicole. As soon as he finds out he’s Sydney’s father, he’ll get Nicole away from her. Nicole hopes if he is the father that he’ll allow her visitation. Chad doesn’t think that’s going to happen and asks what she’s up to, now. Nicole’s trying to be realistic. Chad thinks they should wait until the results come back to make an agreement. Later, Lexi introduces herself to Chad and warns him not to trust Nicole.
Monday, November 02 2009: My Dear Katherine.
At the pier, Will comes upon Mia and Chad when discussing her having numerous partners. Chad asks if Mia’s going to tell Will the truth, she reluctantly tells him the lie about having numerous lovers. Will asks why she’s saying this and where it’s coming from. Mia says when Chad takes the DNA test, he may learn Sydney’s not his. "I don’t know who the father is," she whimpers. Will doesn’t believe her and thinks that she lied to Chad so he wouldn’t go after custody of Sydney. Mia confirms it’s true and Will worries about what else has been a lie. When she told him she loved him? He leaves Mia crying.
Sami arrives home and leaves a message for Will. Chad arrives, looking lost. Sami lets him know she’s concerned about Mia and Chad tells Sami that Mia had multiple partners and he might not be the father of Sydney. Sami isn’t sure she can believe that. Chad breaks down and confesses he never stopped thinking of her the entire time he was gone, but she says she was with all of those guys. Sami realizes his heart is breaking because he still loves her. Sami worries Will heard this and they rush out to find them.
Chad sits at Java and wonders if Mia really had sex with all those other guys. He’s still going through with the test. He needs to know the truth.
