BRADY BLACK'S HISTORY
Brady Black is the son of John Black and deceased Isabella Toscano. He was sent to priavte school and returned on a college break, not returning home. He resented John for dating Marlena so soon after Isabella's death and treated her disrespectfully, even though Marlena was the one who basically brought him up. Marlena was convinced Brady was trying to kill Belle and when Belle was injured in a train accident, she blamed him, though he is the one who saved Belle. Roman shot Brady by accident and Brady was paralyzed from the waist down. Brady started getting the use of his legs back, but he was determined to get back at Marlena and get her out of his life. After a time, the two were able to see through their differences and they forged a relationship. Isabella came to him in visions and guided him through life and issues with Philip, who was dating Chloe Lane, with whom he cared for. Chloe and Brady finally got together and Chloe found out she had leukemia. She fought and the disease went into remission and she left for Europe.
Brady moved in with Victor and turned to Nicole Walker for support and they became close, but NIcole showed her true colors soon and when Chloe returned from Europe, he knew he still loved her. Victor "died" in the Salem Stalker storyline, and Chloe, he thought had died in a car accident overseas, but when he found out Victor was alive on an island, (Melaswen) he was one of those who went to save him. Nicole and Brady were still together until he wound up in hospital and found out that Chloe was really alive, but hiding because of a scar on her face. He eventually married her and they left for a honeymoon and to Europe to live. Chloe returned to Salem November of 2007, without Brady, and it was found out that Brady had turned to drugs - and divorced her. Family blame Chloe for getting Brady into drugs, because her friends were into that. He has been through rehab and is now on his way back to Salem, November 2008.

Thursday, January 08 2009: There is No Us!
Nicole begs Brady to pretend he’s her fiancé, to Mia but Brady wants her to tell Mia the truth. Mia shows up and asks if this is Nicole’s fiancé and Brady denies it, causing Mia to become suspicious and tell Nicole she’s not going to put her hands on her baby. She stomps off and Nicole starts ranting at Brady that he has ruined her chance at happiness. She beats at his chest until Brady grabs her arms and calmly tells her to relax. Brady thinks she’s taking Mia’s baby against false pretenses and he refuses to support her lies. Nicole cries that Brady has hung her out to dry. Brady apologizes, but reminds her that selling babies on the black market is a crime! Nicole continues her rant that he’s not helping her at all. Brady accuses her of lashing out at him because he can’t lash out at EJ. Nicole rants more and Brady tells her it’s game over. “Don’t call me again.” He leaves her alone at the pier.
Wednesday, January 07 2009: The Fraud Continues!
Outside the Brady Pub, EJ tells a man that he wants the remaining money wired before the foreign markets close. The man says he doesn't take orders from anyone but Stefano. EJ angrily sets him straight and the man says, "Yes sir," and leaves. Brady comes out of the shadows and asks EJ if that was business as usual. EJ wonders how it's any of his concern, and Brady says that he is looking out for his friend Nicole. EJ tells Brady that he plays a minor role in her life. Brady taunts EJ by insinuating he's like Stefano. EJ says he's an ex-junkie who shouldn't pass judgment. Brady says Nicole should know what EJ is really about.
Back outside of the Brady Pub, EJ tells Brady that Nicole knows exactly who he is! Suddenly, Brady gets a call from Nicole. She says she needs to see him right now! Brady tells EJ he's got to handle this.
Brady meets Nicole in an alley near the pier. Brady points out that she's not wearing her padding, and she says she'll explain later. Brady thinks she told EJ the truth! She says she didn't tell EJ anything. Brady rolls his eyes, saying, "And the fraud continues!" He asks why she called him there. She says she needs his help. Nicole tells him about Mia, and asks him to pretend to be her fiance. He says he won't do it! Nicole starts ranting and Brady says he's heard it all before. He says she should tell EJ the truth. Nicole says that then she'll have no baby and no man - does he want to be responsible for that?! Brady throws his hands up, exasperated, as Nicole says she can't take 'no' for an answer! Brady doesn't want to lie, but Nicole begs him to hear her out. She gives a speech about motherhood and fulfillment and her eyes fill with tears. Brady swallows hard as she says if he helps her she will owe him her life! Just then, Mia arrives and asks if Brady is her fiance - Nicole waits expectantly!
