Take Care of Them, Daddy. Kill Them. Kill Them all…

In her room nearby, Ava struggles with her binds in the hospital and starts screaming for Patch. "Somebody help me," she screams and orders the guard to get out of her room. The guard refuses to and Ava screams for her father until a nurse arrives and gives her a sedative. In her room, Ava sleeps restlessly and murmurs… "Take care of them, Daddy. Kill them. Kill them all…" Chelsea and Hope overhear Ava's screaming and Chelsea wonders who the woman is. Hope lies that it's just some woman who was brought in late last night. Bo arrives with Dr. Daniel, who says he bets she can't wait to get home. Hope jokes that she prefers it to her own cooking. Bo tells Chelsea that he has her old room ready for her. She's moving back in. Chelsea tells him that in spite of what's happening, her life is not over. Bo knows and admits he knows Daniel took himself off her case. He offers to talk to him but Chelsea refuses. Chelsea grins and says that for the first time, she really feels like she's going home!

Inside Ava's room, Steve apologizes to her. "I did this to you," he explains. Stephanie follows him in the room and calls Ava a whack job and rants that because of her sick obsession, her family could have died. Ava quietly listens while Stephanie tells her she doesn't deserve any sympathy. Ava tells Steve that Stephanie is a lot like him. Kayla enters the room and asks Stephanie to leave Ava be, because she is ill. Abe arrives and Kayla escorts Stephanie out of the room. The guard waits outside while Abe tells Ava he has her for kidnapping. Ava shrugs. Her daddy will take care of everything for her, but Abe doesn’t care who her daddy is. "Justice will be done." He says he's taking things easy on her because of her mental state. Ava asks, "Because you think I'm crazy?" Steve denies this and Abe tells her either way, justice is what she'll get.

The Morals of a Groundhog!

Ava is escorted into the Salem PD. She threatens them to wait until her father finds out what's going on. Abe takes a call and tells everyone that Stephanie has vanished from the bar and Max is looking for her. Abe tells Bo and Hope about Chelsea's post operative infection and they head over to University Hospital.

Ava taunts Abe and Roman at Salem PD and tells them her daddy will sue them. Ava is left alone to call her lawyer and calls someone and requests that they call her father for her.

Steve and Kayla arrive at the pub in search for Stephanie, but Pete tells her she's gone. Steve calls Abe to put an APB on her.

At Salem PD, Roman and Abe return and offer Ava a chance to make a preliminary statement but she refuses and wants to see Patch. She rants about how she loves him and is in pain. Abe thinks she has a future without Steve but she denies it. She falls to the floor and has a seizure.

At the hospital, Ava is wheeled in, screaming. Hope and Bo rush outside Chelsea's room and Roman tells them what happened. He says Ava will be put under surveillance and on suicide watch. Ava sees Hope and blames her for everything. Victor arrives and tells them not to go up against the mob again. He's worried when he hears that there is an issue with Chelsea. They rush back into Chelsea's room and ask Dr. Daniel what's going on. Dr. Daniel says there is scarring in Chelsea's pelvic area. Her fallopian tubes were infected and he says he's sorry but as a result of the infection, she'll never be able to have children.

I've Thrown out all the Trash!

Roman and Abe arrive at the Vitali mansion and Hope, Kayla, Bo and Steve come out of the house with Ava, who is immediately arrested. Roman lets Steve know that they've sent a squad car to Stephanie.

Sometimes a Cigar is… Well it's Just a Cigar.

A confused Steve wakes up in bed next to an amorous Ava. She tells him, "Welcome back to the good old days." He realizes he has been drugged and asks how Hope is, how his wife and Bo are. Ava reminds him he used to love her getting into bed with him and says his family is fine. She tells him Kayla has agreed to give her baby away but Steve doesn't believe her and becomes agitated. He demands his clothing and while he dresses he tells Ava that her flip flop feelings for him are confusing. Ava admits she believes that he was dragged away from her during their wedding. She knows he loved her. He did, but says he knew that something was wrong and was going to call off the wedding anyway. He's sorry. Kayla's the love of his life. Ava cries that he used to think that way of her but he thinks they were both running away from their problems. They were not meant to be together for the long haul. "I'm not Patch anymore. I'm Steve Johnson, I'm like a stranger to you," he says as Ava cries in disbelief. He thinks it's time she put the past behind her. Ava disagrees and can't let it go. Steve remembers Ava as strong and determined and he offers himself if she lets his friends and wife go. He tells her they can make their own baby. Ava is touched by this and Steve moves in and kisses her, tenderly. He'll have sex with her now, if she'll let her friends go, he says. Ava is insulted. She wants his heart and soul, not just his body. Unfortunately, Steve can't make those promises. He's still in love with his wife but he's willing to do what she wants if she'll live with his terms. She agrees to his terms and they kiss and take things to the bed again.

Winner Takes All!

At the Vitali mansion, Angelo and Mikie arrive to Ava's room to take Kayla to her new room. She fights them and asks to talk to Ava. Angelo tries to threaten her but it falls on deaf ears. She knows Ava wants her in one piece. Ava enters the room and the two argue about whether Kayla or Ava needs to be realistic about Steve. When Ava pops a pill, Kayla wants to know what they are. She tries to look at them but Ava isn't sure she wants to let her. Kayla says she cares about her and if she's going to be a mother to her baby, she wants to make sure she'll be okay. She'd like to help her if Ava will let her. Ava says she has seen half the doctors in the state and isn't sure she can be helped but Kayla has seen people in similar situations, she thinks she can help. Ava confides that she has tried to kill herself and has been on suicide watch since Patch left her. Kayla says the symptoms of what she had shouldn't have lasted for more than a month. She wants to know more about the pills Ava takes, so Ava grudgingly tells her she takes them 1-6 times a day to relax her. Kayla thinks someone doesn't have her best interest at heart, considering the pills appear to make Ava anxious. Ava's demeanor changes and she forces Kayla out of the room and tells Angelo that it's time for her to be with Patch, who is sleeping.

How dare you blackmail me with my own son?

At the Vitali mansion, Ava screams at Steve and tells him he wrecked everything. Kayla screams back at Ava and Steve apologizes, but Ava cries that she will never forgive him. An emotional Steve is close to tears as Bo takes him aside and whispers that they'd better get out of there - now! Ava asks Kayla what she thinks of Steve now and Kayla and Bo agree that their feelings for him haven't changed. Kayla is sure Steve didn't mean to hurt Ava. Hope thinks they can help her but Ava doesn't want their help. She remembers being locked up and treated with drugs. She screams, "I hate you! I hate all of you," and smashes a vase into her desk. She tells Steve he was the most handsome man she has ever seen and she could not wait to marry him. Steve weeps as she reminds him of how they were going to spend their honeymoon and she hears music before she asks, "Do you hear that? They're playing our song… let's dance." She holds a confused Steve in her arms and dances with him, then spies Kayla and asks who invited her there. She blames Kayla for ruining her life but Kayla fights back and asks what about her pop's life? Ava apologizes and still refuses to take responsibility for her own actions. She says that they all tricked her. "Thought you could pull a fast one on the crazy lady… joke's on you." She tells George, her goon, to kill them all. Kayla stops her and tells her she's a good person and holds her hands over her belly to feel the baby kick. Kayla tells her to get George to put the gun down. She knows Ava's angry and says they're all sorry for what happened to her but the baby is innocent. Ava feels a kick and Steve pulls Angelo aside. He asks to help Ava. If they all die, the guilt will eat Ava alive, he says but Angelo thinks this is the sanest thing Ava's ever done. Steve is amazed that Angelo doesn't want to protect his own cousin. Steve calls her a good girl, unlike her cold-blooded killer of a father. Angelo orders George to put the gun down and tells Ava they need to rethink this. Ava tells Patch that without him she has nothing. The goons tie them all up and Hope starts to succumb to unconsciousness while Bo and Steve talk about being in worse jams than this. Bo tries to wake Hope to no avail and then demands that George get Hope help. George tells Bo that Hope's still breathing and Kayla asks to be untied to examine Hope. After all, she's a doctor! He refuses and when Bo starts screaming at him, George hits him in the head with the butt of his gun, knocking him out cold. Steve tries to appeal to George and when Angelo arrives, he feels Bo and Hope's pulse and says they're fine. George leaves and Ava grins and says she has made a decision. She's not going to kill them, but she's not letting them go, either. She'll keep them until Kayla has the baby. Ava tells Kayla that the baby she's carrying is hers. She hopes it is a boy and drones on about how she has baby names picked out, while Steve and Kayla look on in horror. Steve yells that she's not taking their baby but Ava thinks it's a fair trade for his ruining her life. She tells them after her baby is born; she'll then decide who lives and who dies.
