You Should Worry. You Should Worry A Lot.

In her room, Ava orders Hope to make a phone call to Patch.

Steve sleeps on the sofa until he catches Kayla sneaking out of the house. He yells, "Where do you think you're going," and startles Kayla. She's on her way to see Bo but Steve tells her to get back in the bedroom. He receives a call from Hope. "Hello darling, it's Kayla," says Hope, calling on Ava's instruction. Steve says she must have the wrong number but Hope yells, "It's me Steve, Kayla. Knock it off. I'm here with your friend Ava." She says Ava wants her to stay with her for a while. Ava grabs the phone and threatens Steve. Kayla will have to deal with her nastiness if she gets in a bad mood. "You should worry. You should worry a lot." She says, cryptically and tells him to keep the conversation to himself. She'll be in touch. Once Steve is off the phone, the real Kayla wonders who called. He says it's a long story and before he can tell her, she doubles over in pain. Steve calls Dr. Ellman, who makes a house call and orders Kayla to rest. During the examination, Steve tries to get a hold of Ava's phone number.

At Ava's place, Ava asks if Kayla (Hope) knows about Patch's dark side. She assumes so since she's married to him and asks Kayla (Hope) if she thinks Patch is really in love with her. Either way, if he loves her or not, Ava admits she wants to hurt him so that he can feel the pain she felt when he left her. Hope comments that she still feels that pain and asks if she wants to hurt her as well but Ava has nothing against Kayla, though she'll have to hurt her. Hope is angered. She's innocent and sorry for what Steve did to her. Ava thinks Kayla (Hope) is trying to work her. Ava's mood changes and she asks if she wants her sandwich. Hope eats ravenously and is thankful for the food, and jokes that she's thankful for the lack of torture. Ava laughs and says Patch likes a sense of humor. Hope comments that she can see why Patch fell for Ava since she's beautiful, sensitive, sweet and caring. Ava thinks she's patronizing her but Hope asks how she met Patch. Ava remembers they were both hailing a taxi and shared a ride. They took coffee together and she brought him home to meet her dad who gave him a job. They were together almost two years and were to marry. She describes the wedding of her dreams with a lit gazebo they'd hold hands under but her dad didn't want her to marry Patch so they took off and found a preacher in the desert but the wedding didn’t happen. She clams up, obviously upset with the memory. She asks to talk about something more pleasant and wants to hear about Kayla's (Hope) wedding to Patch and their life together. Hope agrees to tell her as long as she doesn't use it against them and allows her to make a call.

I Could Beat You With A Stick !

Hope searches through Ava's desk drawers and attempts to unlock the door with a letter opener she finds until Ava arrives with a snack for pregnant "Kayla". Ava reminds Kayla (Hope) that her cousin Angelo's outside the door so she can't escape and Ava is angered when Hope says to talk or let her go back to her husband, Steve. Ava doesn't like that Hope calls Patch "Steve" or her "husband". Hope says stress is not good for a pregnant woman so Ava tells her not to stress out but Hope argues that just being there is stressing her out! Ava just wants to talk but afterward, she's not letting Hope leave! Hope says she understands Ava's in control but she doesn't know what she wants. Ava says she'll be there until Patch shows up and joins them. She figures Patch will dump Kayla (Hope) and her "unborn brat" and come back to her! Hope is incredulous and reminds her she caused the plane to crash and her father and two pilots died while others were harmed. Ava tells her she wasn't trying to kill them but her cousins are stupid and messed it up. Ava thinks she won't have to force Patch to show up considering he was the perfect man for her. She explains how they were to marry but he disappeared. She has never been the same, she says. Hope thinks Ava's smart and doesn't need a man to complete her but Ava retorts that she and Patch are soul mates and Kayla (Hope) will soon lose him! Hope wants to know why Ava wants him back if he caused her so much pain and Ava yells, "Because I love him." Hope replies, "So do I," but Ava doesn't want to hear this. She tells Hope to call Patch and tell him if he ever wants to see her again, he'll do what Ava says!

The Man is Scum!

Ava looks at herself in the mirror and says she's so much prettier than Kayla (as she looks at a photo of Hope). Her cousin Angelo arrives and she jumps into his arms, thrilled to see him. He comments it's so weird to see her like this since she was practically running the place. He asks when she's going to be better but she says she's fine. She wants out of the house. Angelo tells her Patch isn't good for her and if it wasn't for him, they'd be "scoring big time" he tells her the man is scum and she has to forget about him. Ava disagrees and Angelo tells her it's partially why she's kept locked up. She wants Patch back and asks if he will make one of his famous grilled cheese sandwiches for her and after some begging, he reluctantly allows her to take a 15 minute walk while he cooks. Angelo returns after 15 minutes and finds Ava has not returned. Eddie enters the room and tells Angelo Ava's gone. She stole Angelo's keys and took his car. Angelo's sure she's after Patch.

Hope tells a nurse to call if anything changes with Bo. The nurse will do so she says and Hope wanders off with Ava in pursuit!

Blathering on and on...

At Ava's place, Big Eddie tells Ava he doesn't think the woman she sees in the photo is Patch's wife but Ava shows him the photo she took of Hope hugging Patch on her cell phone. She's certain it's her. Big Eddie shrugs and agrees to go out and find out more information for Ava, knowing the information will be what he's been saying, that Hope's not Patch's wife. Later, Big Eddie returns and tells Ava she's wrong. He shows her Kayla's photo. This is the one she wants, he says. Ava asks what happened in Ireland and why they messed up. He claims that they tried the best they could. Ava wanted the plane never to take off because she wanted to talk to Patch. Big Eddie shakes his head and says they'd never have left without Patch anyway so she would never have had time to talk to him. Ava says Patch has a temper and doesn’t like to be forced into doing something he doesn’t want to do. She wanted to be able to sweet talk him. In order to do this, she needs to be able to get him away from his wife! The two bicker over whether or not the blonde is Patch's wife. Ava calls him incompetent but Big Eddie remembers taking care of her after Patch left her. He hated the way Patch treated her and felt sorry for her since she's been "messed up in the head" ever since. Now he doesn't care anymore. Ava screams at him to get out.

Charm rolls right off my back

Ava is pacing around her room, staring at a photo of Hope. Eddie the goon comes in with some food. She's not hungry; she's just sick of being stuck in there. She never meant for the plane to crash. She asks him to sneak in a computer. That's not going to happen, Eddie says. He walks out. "You can't keep me in here forever!" she shouts. She paces around the room, staring at Steve's photo and wondering what could be so great about Kayla. She flashes back to swimming with Steve and making out with him on the beach. "I never thought I could be so happy," she tells him. He promises her that he will always be in her life. "I'm crazy about you," he says. Back in the present, she stabs the photo of Hope with her knife until Eddie comes in to collect her meal plate. She begins crying from loneliness. Eddie tells her she's her father's "little princess" and she doesn't need to be lonely. She begs him for help again and he tells her he may have found a way.

Just a Little Squirrelly!

Kayla feels good to be on a walk down by the dock with Steve but Steve wants her to go home. He's anxious and it's obvious but he won't tell her why. Instead, he says he's worried about her overexerting herself but she says she and the baby are fine. She'll prove it when they go tomorrow to hear the heartbeat for the first time. A man comes by with a fishing rod and Steve gives the man a menacing look before he walks by. Again, Kayla comments on his mood! They look out into the water and reminisce about their wedding day and Kayla says it was the happiest day of her life. "Mine too," says Steve. She remembers his 'death' and says she wasn't sure she could handle it. She says he didn't have anyone to turn to, at least she had family. Steve flashes back to having drinks with Ava in her room and discussing her father's lack of trust for him. Ava had asked Steve to make an honest woman out of her and he joked, "Is that even possible?" They kissed, passionately. Kayla wonders if he's quiet because she brought up bad memories but Steve tells her that was in the past. They go to the park and find the same park bench Chelsea was at earlier. Steve takes Chelsea's leftover nuts and feeds the squirrels. He tells their dude or dudette that when she or he gets old enough, he'll take them to the park as well! He tells Kayla he loves her and flashes back to Ava punching him in the alley a few days previous and telling him she wants him back! Steve becomes uneasy when he hears rustling in the bushes and Kayla asks what's going on with him lately. He says, "I'm sorry. I guess maybe I'm just a little squirrelly!" They get up to leave.

The Science of Going Green

Ava stares at photos of the entire Brady clan, over and over and the more she looks, the angrier she becomes and she starts throwing them around the room! She pauses at Steve's photo and stares.
