A Perfect Fit.

Lucas arrives at the hospital and asks Daniel how things are. He tells her they’re fine, but he’s obviously got something on his mind, and brushes Lucas off. He goes to Chloe, who tells him he doesn’t need to keep vigil for him. Lucas isn’t and says he has a surprise for her. She wrongly assumes it’s about Kate, but he returns her ring and says he had it resized. She puts it on, smiling. “It’s a perfect fit.” They hug and Chloe tells him she loves him and he’s right. They will have a perfect life.

Enthusiastic, Energetic, Nice Looking....

When Daniel comes into Chloe’s hospital room, she gives him the cold shoulder. He asks if she wants to discuss what happened during the exam but she says nothing happened and wants to get the show on the road. She refuses Daniel’s help, and Lucas interrupts, wondering what’s going on! Daniel accuses Chloe of being edgy, but Chloe denies it, though her blood pressure rises! Daniel says they may have to call the whole thing off, but soon, Chloe starts to calm down and makes it a point to Daniel, when he offers help, that she has everything she needs right there with Lucas. Daniel leaves and Lucas and Chloe smooch and are interrupted by the nurse, with an IV. Chloe is upset that she has to remove her engagement ring.

Lucas wheels Chloe into Kate’s room, where she tells Kate she’s not nervous and calls this the first day of Kate’s new life! Lucas leaves with Chloe and Daniel stays behind.

Knocked Up Barbie!

Chloe ends a phone call with her parents, in the park, and rants to Lucas how her parents don’t want her to have the bone marrow transplant operation.

Back at the park, Lucas asks if she has second thoughts but she doesn’t. She explains that her parents always overreact. Lucas is sure they’re concerned for her and tells her this means a lot to him. When Daniel calls, he explains he checked her white blood cell count and there’s a problem. She needs to come by the hospital. She explains this to Lucas, who panics. Chloe assumes it’s nothing, but reminds him she’s the only choice and there is no changing her mind.

Chloe and Lucas arrive at the hospital and Daniel plays down the issue with Chloe’s white blood cell count and asks Lucas to see Kate while he examines Chloe.

Lucas visits Kate and while she sleeps, he tells her that tomorrow’s the big day. He says Chloe’s giving them all a second chance.

Daniel takes Chloe’s blood pressure and wants to discuss the risks but Chloe isn’t interested. She has been sick herself and thinks she’s tougher than some. She calls it “Paying it forward”. Daniel checks her lymph nodes and during the examination, they make an eye connection and gaze into each other’s eyes, but Chloe breaks the connection and looks away. Awkwardly, Daniel finishes the exam and leaves. Lucas comes upon him and wonders what’s wrong, while Chloe dresses and flashes back to Daniel’s touch and gaze. Daniel leaves when Chloe comes out of the exam room. When Lucas notes that she looks nervous. She denies anything is wrong.

I'm Sorry...

On a walk on the pier, Lucas admits he is proud of Chloe’s bravery for going through the bone marrow transplant. Chloe needs to get her ring re-sized, but says she can’t get it off. She attempts, and pulls it off, but it accidentally lands in the water! She panics and yells how sorry she is. Lucas rips off his shirt and jumps in after it, with Chloe yelling at him that it’s too cold. Lucas jumps out of the cold water with the ring in his hand and Chloe fawns over him to get home and change his clothes. Chloe laughs. She’s never taking off her ring as long as she lives! They rush off.

Nicole and Brady come out of Cheatin’ Heart and bump into Lucas and Chloe. Lucas is still wet from jumping in the river, so Chloe explains what happened. Nicole is astounded that they’re engaged and hugs Chloe, while Brady awkwardly congratulates them. When Chloe hugs Nicole, her eyes widen. (I don't know if I saw this correctly, as writing and viewing aren't easy, so if this was nothing, I apologize for writing it!)

Everyone goes into the pub. Lucas goes off to get drinks for them while Brady follows him and asks if the procedure Chloe’s getting into is safe. Lucas tells him it’s as safe as anything. He tells Brady to rethink getting Chloe flowers once she’s in the hospital! Back at the table, Chloe asks Nicole how she’s feeling, and when Nicole says she’s fine, Chloe doesn’t believe her and asks what’s going on. Nicole says Brady’s a downer, sometimes. Chloe assumes something happened with Brady, but Nicole denies it. Chloe hopes Brady’s not slipping and remembers this place used to be shady. Chloe is worried he’s trying to score, which makes Nicole worry, too. Chloe changes the topic and says Allie misses her mom, but she and Lucas are happy Sami’s gone. Kids aside, Chloe hopes Sami will be a distant memory. Brady and Lucas return and Nicole goes off, saying she has to use the restroom.

Elsewhere in the Cheatin’ Heart, Nicole asks Rick to score her some coke. She says one hit for a friend, and holds up a few hundred. Rick will see what he can do, and leaves, money in hand!

Nicole returns and Brady gives Chloe a hug and tells her to take care and wishes all is well with Kate. They leave and Brady says it's truth time. Nicole says she has a cramp and asks Brady for aspirin. He goes off to get it while she laces his drink with cocaine. Later, she urges him to drink up.

EJ goes to Roman at the Salem PD and asks to talk to Samantha. Roman can’t allow it but EJ asks for one, untraceable phone call. He asks to do it for Samantha. What he has to say will profoundly change Samantha’s future. Roman agrees, as long as he can listen in.
