He's a powerful speciman.

Stefano shows up at Marlena's car and Rolf sees that the guest was there. He left a cigar butt on the ground. "He's a powerful specimen." Rolf says, "But should be in a passive state." Stefano is not so sure. Rolf says, "I kept him alive for you." Stefano asks, "To do what, smoke cigars?" Stefano needs a soldier to use. The guest shows up and strangles Rolf from behind. Stefano tells him to release him. He has proven himself invaluable.

You be careful. I love you.

Stefano sips alcohol at the mansion while he receives a call. He is angered that "It's not done" and says Lucas needs to pay for what he did to EJ. Stefano throws his drink into the raging fire in a fit and tells Rolf to handle their house guest while he tries to get rid of the pest in the jail cell! Later, Stefano wanders the house and finds the house guest smoking a cigar in the morning room. Stefano peers at his face and is happy to see Rolf has made progress. The guest takes Stefano's newspaper and leaves. Later, the guest refuses an injection from Rolf.

What's it going to be, fight or fold?

At the mansion, Stefano talks with someone on the phone about Lucas's arrest. He then asks his bodyguard Carmine for a favor. Later, Rolf arrives and Stefano angrily tells him that he has fallen further behind. The house guest is no good to him under lock and key. He needs him to communicate and follow orders. Rolf swears he'll be ready soon but Stefano reminds him that he could lose everything. "If you can't do it, I'll do it myself!" he yells angrily.

EJ drops by Stefano's place only to be told by Rolf that Stefano's not home. When EJ hears Stefano yelling, he enters the mansion and asks what's going on. Stefano says it's none of his business and wonders why he's here. EJ says Lucas was arrested for attempted murder and asks Stefano not to kill Lucas before the case comes to trial. Stefano has a code and thinks EJ's being ridiculous to have Stefano ignore this in order to prove something to Samantha. "It's already too late," he sighs. The ball is already rolling.

Your freedom is priceless Lucas

In the DiMera mansion, Rolf panics as he tells Stefano that their house guest escaped through the tunnel.

Stefano and Rolf go in search of their house guest. They find the kid with the ball who saw him briefly and he points the way that the guest went. They pay him and move on.

Back at the mansion, the house guest arrives. Stefano yells at him for leavening and Stefano gives Rolf a taser to use on the guest in case he becomes too much to handle. A syringe wielding Rolf tells the man he needs a sedative. The guest leaves the room. Stefano says he's counting on the guest to raise havoc.

This is one big mess!

EJ tries his key at the DiMera mansion but can't get in. He rings the bell and Rolf comes to the door. Stefano changed the locks but didn't say why, and EJ's not permitted to enter. Nobody is! The door is slammed in EJ's face!

EJ goes around the mansion to the mourning room and breaks in. He checks the desk to find out what Stefano's up to and then someone hits him over the head. EJ falls to the floor. Later, Stefano finds EJ and says his house guest hit him. "Unfortunately, my house guest is thorough." EJ is confused but Stefano says he'll tell him about the house guest another time. EJ says he was looking for information about how Stefano planned to take care of Johnny in the desk. Stefano laughs and tells him not to be concerned. EJ says Johnny is his son and he and Samantha will raise him as they see fit. Rolf runs into the room and says their guest was in the yard and ran off! Stefano freaks out. We see the guest who appears to be an agitated large male. He pounds his fist into his other open hand.

Later, EJ listens at the door as Stefano berates his house guest and tells him the rules are for his own protection. "If you show your face, they'll hurt you," he says. He comes out of the room and tells his son he will stay out of his affairs. Rolf enters the room and lets them know that the news is reporting that police are after Lucas for attempted murder. Stefano hopes that for EJ's sake his wife doesn't do anything stupid. EJ runs off to find Samantha.

It is payback time my friend...

At the mansion, a man awaits Stefano. When Stefano arrives in the morning room, the man tells Stefano that he's president of some South American country and doesn't take kindly to disrespect. Stefano reminds him that his father made it possible for him to own that land and wonders where Alessandro would be now without the DiMeras! "It is payback time my friend," Stefano tells the man. He wants Alessandro to help him take vengeance on an old enemy of Stefano's. "I want you to make sure he disappears." Stefano shows Alessandro the threatening letters and says he believes the woman threatening him is in Alessandro's country. He demands Alessandro find the woman. She has power to ruin him, Stefano says and after Alessandro realizes Stefano means business, he agrees to help. Rolf enters the room and asks Stefano not to forget his secret and the two make their way to Rolf's secret lab.
