Outside, Anna hugs Roman while Kate flirts outrageously with Tony. Anna watches from the window, as Kate takes Tony's hand. She enters the pub and Kate asks why she was so cozy with Roman. Anna says they're just friends and when Tony goes to talk to Roman, Anna comments on her past relationship with Roman, calling their marriage a brief fling. The ladies claws start to show until Bo lures Kate to the bar for another martini!
Stefano lies in a casket at the funeral parlor with Roman leaning over him with a gun. He tells Stefano that it's good to see him like that. "I told you we'd settle that score one day, Stefano. That day is here. That day is now," he says. He wants to pull the trigger but tells Stefano that they will settle the score the right way - later. Flowers arrive and he tells 'Willie' that the coffin in the hearse is empty and asks if the safe house is ready. Willie tells a shocked Roman that the flowers are for him!
Anna, Tony, Bo and Hope arrive at the Funeral home and Hope comments on the flowers. She finds a card in it and when Roman reads it. "So sad to hear of your untimely death - Andre."
Tony and Anna arrive at Roman's empty hospital room with a fruit basket. Since Anna feels bad about not visiting sooner, Tony offers to drop by Roman's house on their way to dinner. They start giggling and kissing when Tony says she's been busy these past few weeks. Roman enters the room and lies down while Anna fawns over him, making him comfortable. Tony says he's happy to hear Roman's feeling better, and goes out to give Anna and Roman time alone to talk. Roman asks if the fruit basket is a pre-dumping gift and thinks they had a good thing going. Anna reminds him that he left her that morning after that night they spent together and she ran back to Tony as soon as she found out he was live, so she considers they both took the easy way out! Roman says that it's no problem, and clicks on the television to watch a ball game. Anna is stunned and turns the TV off, apologizing for hurting Roman. She loves him but loves Tony in a different way, she says. She's surprised when Roman brings up Tony's two island playthings and says he doesn't think Tony will stick around.
Once Stefano and Rolf have left, Tony spies a pretty blonde nurse. He watches as she gets a coffee for herself, and his gazing is interrupted by Anna coming out of Roman's room. He goes to her for a kiss and hug.
Anna drops by the Brady Pub to share the news with Hope and Bo about Tony's return to Salem. She is on the lookout for Roman, and runs off with a blissful expression on her face.
Once Anna's gone, Hope sadly tells Bo that his brother is about to get his heart broken. Bo thinks Roman will be happy to get rid of Anna and they argue about whether or not Roman will care if he's dumped. Hope suggests another bet! "Double or nothing?" They smirk and plan on having Bo streak (remove all clothes and run around the pub) if he loses!
Anna returns with Tony at her side, and are greeted warmly by Bo and Hope. Tony admits he came from Stefano. "I told him I came home to bring him down," Tony says with his trademark grin! In walks an uncomfortable Roman, who makes a beeline to the kitchen to hide from Anna. Hope sadly tells Bo that she's sad for poor Roman but Bo lost the bet - again! He takes it all off and goes running around the pub, while Hope snickers and watches from inside!
On the island, Marlena and John plead with Tony to come back to Salem with them, but he refuses, stating that Stefano has all but destroyed his life. "I'm sorry, but Stefano is no longer a part of my life," Tony says, with a frown. Marlena thinks it could be therapeutic for him to go back, but Tony calls the island as close to heaven as you can get! Marlena tries to convince him but he says that until Stefano is dead and buried, "This is my home!" John is ready to give up, but Marlena accuses Tony of being afraid to go home and confesses that his friends need him. Tony tells her that there is nothing she can do that'll change his mind, and he sees Anna, come out of nowhere.
Tony is bowled over, and rubs his eyes. Anna smiles and starts to cry, as Tony stares longingly at Anna. He asks what she's doing here, and stares for a long time before saying, "It's so good to see you!" When he moves in to hug her, Anna comes to her senses and demands that he stay where he is. She asks how they can be sure that he's not Andre. Tony tries to convince her that it's him, but her fear causes her to grab a gun from her handbag and point it at Tony! John asks her to calm down, but she flashes back to the past, when they were in the same situation, and Anna had a Q&A going with a gun trained on Tony, in order to find out who he really was. She asks him how much money he put into her design company, and he can't answer, because it was 20 years ago. Tony grapples for answers, as Anna grows frantic with her gun wielding. Marlena begs Anna not to shoot, but Anna's confused. John grabs the gun and Tony grabs Anna and hugs her tight. He tells her he may not remember everything, but he remembers how much he loved her!
Tony reminds Anna of the last time they were together, on the plane to Haiti, with his mother Daphne. He tells her the name of the man who framed her for his murder, and Anna starts to cry. "That's the last time I saw you. My God, I can't believe it's you..." she cries and the two kiss. John tells Marlena that it's contagious and kisses Marlena. Anna and Tony come up for air and Anna grins and says, "Oh Tony, it's really you!" She asks that he never leave him again, and Marlena asks if he has changed his mind about leaving the island. Suddenly Tony's island ladies return and Anna takes offense as they drape themselves on him. Tony smiles at them and John informs Tony that he has a decision to make!
We see Anna sobbing uncontrollably and kissing a thrilled Tony, on John's plane. John asks Tony about the 'key', and he says it was solid gold and had a very archaic cut to it. Tony says he has no idea what it unlocks but Stefano told him that it was the key to the secret of the DiMera/Brady feud. Tony notices Anna's perfume and tells her she's sweet to have remembered. Tony asks if he can stay with her and Marlena lets it slip that she lives with Roman. Tony is taken aback!
On the plane, John pops a bottle of champagne. Marlena wonders if Tony's alive or even sane, after being on the island for 20 years. They start to kiss when they're interrupted by Anna, who waltzes in with her bags packed, ready to go! John is against her coming along until she reminds him that a single kiss will tell her if the man on the island is really Tony. Marlena and John laugh as Anna changes into a cocktail dress in order to look good for her husband. John looks down at his shirt and pants and says he's starting to become insecure about his own attire. He jumps up and poses for them and asks how he looks, and Marlena and Anna break out into a fit of laugher. The plane starts to descend, and Anna appears nervous.
