STEPHANIE JOHNSON (CURRENT)'S HISTORY
Stephanie was born to Steve and Kayla Johnson. As a child she was kidnapped by her nanny, Sheila Salsbury who took her to Australia. She was rescued and not seen on canvas until 2006.
Stephanie is all grown up and a race car driver. She came to town with Kayla and stayed for a few months until she accepted a position with a racing team outside of Salem. During her time in Salem she dated Max Brady and was broken hearted when he dumped her after she was in a race car accident due to the black glove crimes.
She left town shortly thereafter for work but is now back in Salem. She left town shortly thereafter for work but is now back in Salem. She became fast friends with Chelsea Brady, much to everyone’s surprise, and eventually introduced bad boy Jeremy Horton as her boyfriend. He was abusive to her and when she and Chelsea became airline stewardesses for Jeremy’s “Touch The Sky” airline, she started spending time with Max Brady again, while he dates Morgan Hollingsworth.
During this time, Stephanie left Jeremy and was raped by Ford Decker, the campus rapist. She told nobody and though she suspected she was pregnant, a test confirmed she was not. She finally told her parents, who comforted her. She spills this all to Max, and they build a relationship, slowly, and wind up together. She gains closure with the rape when Ford is accidentally killed on campus, and she and Max start having issues in their relationship when Max’s lack of trust causes him not to be completely honest with her about helping Nick Fallon get his grant proposal. When Trent Robbins came to town, Max’s biological father, Max keeps it a secret from Stephanie for a while and this causes issues between them as well. When he finds out he has a sister in Europe. He takes off for Paris and Stephanie follows. Their relationship got worse when Stephanie and Melanie met and didn’t hit it off. Stephanie saw Melanie’s character flaws and didn’t take to her, but Max didn’t see them or didn’t want to see them, so they grew apart. Eventually, when Stephanie betrays Max’s trust and goes to the police with information that Max knows about Melanie being at the cemetery when Trent was murdered, Max dumps her.
Stephanie gets a job at Titan, and tries to move on without Max. She works under Philip Kiriakis and the two start growing closer.

Monday, November 23 2009: Stale Air.
At the hospital, Stephanie hangs on Nathan’s every word and agrees to give blood.
Melanie arrives at the hospital to ask Maxine if she can help with the bus accident. It’s all been taken care of. She goes to find Nathan, who is with Stephanie in the waiting room, helping her with her bandage. She has just given blood and complains of the heat. She gets up to adjust the thermostat and falls into Nathan’s lap, just as Melanie walks in! They explain that Stephanie’s light headed from giving blood and Melanie offers to do the same. Nathan leaves and Stephanie tells Melanie she sprained her ankle and Nathan wrapped it for her. Melanie eyes her and Stephanie asks if she’s still conflicted about the men in her life. Melanie has decided Nathan’s the only guy for her!
Friday, November 20 2009: Arabian Horse.
Stephanie fantasizes that Nathan’s kissing her after he wraps her sprained ankle. Once she comes back to reality, and confesses she thinks Nathan’s making a mistake, she flashes back to watching Nathan kiss Melanie, but tells him her ankle’s too tight. Nathan re-wraps it and asks her to tell him what’s really on her mind. Later, Nathan has done rounds and again asks Stephanie what the big mistake was that he has made. She asks him to drop it. They’re fine. Later, a nurse needs a doctor to pull an all nighter as there has been a bus accident. Stephanie volunteers Nathan to help. Later, Nathan mentions he has to cancel his date with Melanie because of the long night ahead of him. Stephanie thinks to herself that she hated having to do it but Melanie doesn’t deserve Nathan.
Back at the hospital, Stephanie tells Nathan she has decided to stick around. Nathan jokingly asks her if she can stitch a wound, but may ask her for help, later. He appreciates her being there and thanks her.
