On Tinda Lau, Gabby and Bo breathe a sigh of relief when Gabby finds out that Shawn, Belle and Philip have been found! The two drink to the news while they wait and Gabby goes back to the radio and finds out that Claire is missing. They hear a helicopter on the way and Gabby goes off to get extra blankets and coffee, while the medics bring the threesome to the bar. Belle appears to be in shock, and Shawn explains in a quivering voice that they've lost Claire.
The rescue workers go back to search for Claire, and Philip blames himself for losing Claire. He cries as he explains that he was holding Claire but the waves pulled him under… he dove for her, but couldn't find her. Shawn pulls him into an embrace as the two men commiserate over their loss. Bo tells Belle that it's not her fault and that they're not giving up. He asks her to have faith, and through her tears, she cries that Claire's out there alone. Gabby gets on the radio again, and relays bad news that they haven't found Claire yet. The rescue workers have changed their mission to a recover mission. Philip begs Bo to call and get them to go back, but Bo says he has no jurisdiction here. Belle sobs.
Voodoo Ritual
Once back on the small island, Bo asks Gabby to get the document out of her safe that Shawn signed. Bo takes the letter and refuses to give it to Steve, even when Steve produces a knife. "Give it to me," Steve whispers. Bo pulls his own, much smaller knife out of his pocket and stabs it into the bar. He says he won't surrender or hand over the paper, because it's not just about the paper. "If I'm going to die, it might as well be at the hands of one of my friends about something I believe in." he tells Steve, through gritted teeth. Gabby grabs the phone but Steve yells at her to put it down and grabs Bo, holding the knife to Bo's neck. "Give me the paper!" he demands. Bo retorts, "You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands!" Suddenly, Kayla arrives to the Bikini Bar and surprises everyone. "Put the knife down," she urges him, and when he stands his ground, she lovingly starts to recite their wedding vows while she gets closer to Bo and Steve. "You are my husband, to have and to hold, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health," she says. Steve weakens and releases Bo and the knife. He falls to his knees sobbing and apologizes. Kayla has Steve lie down on an outdoor sofa while she tells Bo that they'll stay there until he's better.
Back on Tinda Lau, Bo thanks Kayla for saving him but tells her he's worried that she won't be able to reach him. She reminds him that she just did. Suddenly, Gabby runs out from the kitchen, crying and tells them all that the boat capsized and Shawn, Belle and Claire all went down with the boat.
Whatever EJ wants, EJ gets…
On the boat, Belle speaks with Shawn on the two way radio. She tells him there is a level four typhoon headed towards there so Philip changed their course and they're headed west toward an island called Montefiore. Shawn doesn't hear the name of the island because when Philip finds Belle on the radio and pulls it away from her. All Shawn hears is static, so Gabby pulls out the map to see where they are.
Belle tells Philip that she was calling Shawn for help, but Philip tells her that they'll be in more trouble if Shawn comes near the boat. Philip speaks with Shawn and tells him that he can handle the typhoon but their whereabouts are confidential. He holds his hand over Belle's mouth and says he's going to dump Belle off on an island and take off with Claire - for good! He stops transmission and breaks the radio while Belle stares in fury.
At the Bikini bar, Steve encourages them to go on board the boat. Shawn rants and says, "I don't care if EJ sent Steve to kill me. This is my one chance to save Belle and Claire and I'm taking it."
Gabby shows the men an island called Montefiore that is the closest to where Belle and Philip were. They figure that Phil must be headed towards there. Shawn quickly signs the paper for the Salem PD while Steve watches from a treed area nearby and checks the gun he has strapped to his ankle. Shawn says goodbye to Gabby and tells her he won't be back later to say goodbye. He thanks her for everything and tells her that if her journeys ever take her to Salem…" She finishes, "I'll go to the Brady Pub and introduce myself to Grandma Caroline and Grandpa Shawn and tell them I'm a friend of yours." She kisses him on the cheek and the men depart Tinda Lau.
On the way out, Steve tells Bo that it hurts that he's doubtful of him, and says that when they're back in Salem, he'd like a guy's night out and clear up all this crap. "You've been hardwired to kill my son." He threatens to take him out if he tries to touch Shawn.
Typhoon Alert!
Gabby suddenly runs downstairs and tells them that she was checking Philip's coordinates and the GPS isn't working. Shawn and Bo panic and Steve tells them to stop whining and start taking care of business. Shawn decides to go with Steve, even though Bo has his doubts. "Don’t get on the plane with that crazy SOB," Bo begs his son. Steve goes nuts and launches himself at Bo when he hears this. Shawn stops the two from fighting.
On Tinda Lau, Gabby runs down the stairs with a two way radio, screaming,.."Shawn! Belle, she's on the radio. She's in trouble!" Shawn grabs the radio as Steve and Bo watch.
Secret lover, or kinky secret?
Bo hangs up with Hope and warns Shawn not to trust Steve. The two argue while Steve stands behind the bar, listening in. Bo tells Shawn that a lot has happened since he has been on the island, and says that EJ is the one calling the shots for Steve, and that Steve was brainwashed and tortured by the DiMeras. He goes on to tell Shawn the story about how Steve kidnapped John and that Kayla was forced to remove John's kidney, and explains how Shawn would be used by the police to get to EJ. Bo says, "You've got to know that Steve is more of an enemy to you than Philip." Shawn still doesn't believe his uncle would hurt him and just wants to get to Claire and Belle. Suddenly, Steve comes down the stairs and asks them, "Come on, let's go. Shake a leg." Bo stops him and says, "Shawn's not going anywhere with you. We need a plan. We do this right, or we don’t do it at all." Bo asks Steve to go fuel up the plane, but Steve confronts Bo on his attitude towards him. Bo says that Shawn hasn't been on a rescue mission like this and Philip is a soldier. Steve tries to win Bo over, they drink to it and Steve walks off to set the course. Gabby comes by with a gun in her hand and a puzzled Shawn asks where she got it. "I was nosing around in your uncle's room and found it," she says with a frightened expression. Bo takes out the magazine and has Gabby run back up and put the gun back where it came from. Bo shows Shawn a paper that with Shawn's signature will put Elvis J. Wells in jail! Shawn worries that Patrick won't fall for the bluff that he knows what was in those packages. Before Shawn is able to sign the papers, Steve interrupts. Bo covers and tries to stall for time, saying that they're still planning and aren't sure that their plan will work. They urge Steve to go back to Salem, stating that they can find Belle on their own. Steve says, "You don't trust me Bo," then asks, "Why don't you be man enough to admit it?" Bo tells Steve forcefully, "Get your butt off this island, now!"
You can count on Uncle Patch!
Steve shows up at the bar on Tinda Lau and tells Bo that Kayla sent him. Steve tells Bo the deprogramming worked well and Gabby goes to check on Philip's coordinates while Steve tells the men that they need to get on his plane and go find Philip. Shawn is ready and willing but Bo refuses. "Hold on cowboy. Shawn's not going anywhere with you." He says. Bo explains that the deprogramming process usually takes weeks and months, not hours, but Bo isn't buying his story. Shawn argues that he needs to go find them now, not wait until Bo figures out whether or not Steve is crazy. Shawn is ready to risk all for Belle and Steve and Bo reluctantly lets him go but quietly asks Gabby to use her phone to call USA.
