At the pub, Steve meets Adrienne, who envelopes her brother into a big hug and tells him she's leaving Salem with Justin and the boys. Justin indulged her by moving back to Salem but is miserable there. He got a great job offer in Dubai, so she'll see if Max can run the bar until she figures out what to do with it, and they'll move. She tells him though it's halfway around the world, he'd better visit! "Guess this is goodbye," she says, tearfully. They make plans to visit. "I'll see you," Adrienne cries, before she hugs Steve and leaves.
By the bar, Max jokes with Chelsea and Stephanie that he has a future in this! Max thinks Morgan's hot, but this presses Stephanie's buttons and she puts down Morgan. Max stops her and says he's not interested. He goes to talk to Morgan as Stephanie watches jealously from afar. Cordy is encouraged by Stephanie to bid, and she wins a date with Ford for $300! Cordy is feeling insecure about the date but Stephanie tells her he's lucky to have a date with her. Once Cordy leaves, Steph shows her jealousy to Chelsea.
Max tells Morgan the truth about getting into the wrong crowd, losing the bar and about getting back on his feet. Morgan likes his honesty and really connects with him when he talks about how much he cares for his family. Adrienne starts the bidding again and Stephanie starts voting on Tommy! She wins a date with him for $280.
Elsewhere at the bar, Stephanie asks Max for forgiveness. Max forgives her and Stephanie thinks that Morgan's slumming! This upsets Max, but Stephanie says Morgan's that "type" of person. This only makes Max want to give Morgan the best date of her life.
Chelsea and Adrienne thank the crowd and are pleased to tell them that they made $1695 for the shelter! Adrienne sings the girls praises and Stephanie thanks Max for starting off the bidding. Stephanie continues to stare at Max and Morgan and asks Chelsea to come spy on Max on his date in order to ensure it goes well for Max. She confesses she doesn't trust Morgan!
Max works the bar while Chelsea begs him to be auctioned off to the ladies of the sorority they're pledging. He's not interested, even when Adrienne tries talking him into it by telling him the proceeds go toward charity (Haven House). Max bets them that they can't convince a bunch of frat guys to turn off the big game and auction themselves off, and when Stephanie attempts it, the guys boo her and laugh in response to her asking if they'd like to be auctioned off in a bachelor auction. They refuse to agree to anything unless the girls turn the TV back on. A chant begins, "Turn it on... turn it on..." Eventually Stephanie turns the football game back on and she and Chelsea worry about how they're going to make this happen. Time is closing in on them when Morgan calls, saying she's on her way. Chelsea refuses to be auctioned off instead of the guys, so Ford (from Beta Sigma) tries to help out by suggesting they use their emotions to get the guys to respond. The girls think Ford is mad, but Chelsea gives it a shot. She uses eye drops to make it appear as though she was crying, and gets up in front of the guys, turns the TV off and tells them she's sorry for interrupting but she's desperate and helpless. The guys are moved, but Chelsea can't continue the charade and takes another shot at asking for their help. They guys listen quietly this time and agree to it, if they can keep the game on with the volume down. The guys start showing their ripped muscles and six packs when Morgan and the other girls waltz into the bar. Stephanie nervously explains to them that they're holding a bachelor auction to raise money, and an impressed Morgan tells them they need to make more than $300 that the other girls bake sale made. Morgan asks the other girls to get out their check books as Chelsea goes to the podium to ask the guys to get ready. Stephanie asks Ford to start things off, but Max comes to the rescue and puts on some music while he goes to the podium to introduce himself and take his shirt off!! Hooting and hollering ensues as the girls wave money in the air. Stephanie starts the bidding at $100 but Max is quickly sold for $500! Stephanie is shocked and appears a little green with envy!
Belle sips a drink at the Cheatin' Heart as she flashes back to the fire in the freezer at the pub. Her mind is on Shawn when Adrienne comes by and asks how she's enjoying going back to school. Belle's thrilled with it and they discuss Shawn. Adrienne tells Belle that she chose well when she chose Shawn.
Elsewhere in the bar, Kayla talks to Adrienne about the DiMeras and the horrible things that they've done. Adrienne has contacts at the Salem Spectator and thinks they can post an article in Steve's favor but Kayla says that this time, Steve's not getting out of jail so easily. Kayla says Mickey thinks Steve should plead insanity and Although Adrienne agrees that this is basically true; her shoulders fall, in helplessness. Kayla brings up Benjy and how she can't bring herself to pick up his car in Hope's garage.
At the bar, Chelsea still wonders if Stephanie's idea is legal, but she's still gung-ho about it. Typing away on her laptop, Stephanie starts to put her plan together while Chelsea continues to doubt her. Max walks in, looking for a job. It seems that he is really losing the garage. 'Jeremy and I are totally over,' Steph says smiling at him. Max keeps his distance, but Chelsea asks him if he's in the market for girls. They'd like him to spend a night with a hot co-ed. Max doesn't speak 'girl talk' so he needs an explanation. They explain, suggesting that he could bring in some serious money through an auction. Max doesn't want to go through the 'meat grinder' again and tells them he's not interested. He walks away. 'That edge was kind of hot,' Steph says. Chelsea tells her that she just needs to give him to nod and he'll be hers. They watch as Adrienne tells Max that working in her bar isn't like working in a garage. He tries to convince her to hire him and she quickly agrees. Chelsea notes how often Max looks over at Steph. Meanwhile, the wheels in Steph's head continue to turn as she puts her auction plans in order. They pass the idea by Adrienne and she happily offers to help but then pulls Steph away. Max returns to the table, but, before he can say anything, Steph returns in a panic. She's just discovered that her father is up to his psychotic behavior again. Max offers to take her to see her mother.
Chelsea is looking tired as she and Stephanie stand around the sorority house. She recalls Stephanie's taunts about her fear of being rejected and then sarcastically thanks her friend for dragging her there. Steph doesn't care, she just applies her lip gloss before Morgan strolls in and informs them that they will be forced to bare their souls as the brutal trials of sisterhood begin. The southern belle explains that the sorority does charity work every year and this year will ne no different. She asks them to sign up in pairs: The team that raises the most money will be voted in as that year's 'angels'. Chelsea finds this hilarious but Morgan doesn't find it funny at all. When she walks out, Steph starts to worry that she might not actually get in. They go out to a bar and try to figure out a way to raise money. Stephanie proposes a series of semi-legal ideas which Chelsea shoots down. Getting into a sorority would look good on her resume though, she admits. Steph is more interested in the hot guys she can be set up with. Chelsea wonders if she would say that if Jeremy was still around. 'There are many more fish in the sea,' she says, fondling her hair. Well, if she's over Jeremy, what about Max? Stephanie reminds her friend that college is about meeting new people. Aunt Adrienne comes around to take their orders and lets slip that she needs a waitress; it's game night so they could make a few hundred in tips. As the two young women go to the bar, Stephanie starts to size up all the boys in the bar. This gives her an idea: They should hold an auction! 'Let the coeds bid on hot male bods!' Steph explains. That sounds like a lot of planning to Chelsea. Stephanie strides over to a table and asks some guys if they'd be interested in being part of an auction. They're flirtatious, but Chelsea thinks this is still a long shot. Stephanie is convinced and passes the idea by her aunt. She likes the idea. Steph is even more excited; she knows that all frat boys think they're God's gift so it will be easy to get them on board. Chelsea finally breaks down under pressure and they high five to seal it.
Steve opens up his door to Adrienne, who comes in with a stack of good parenting books. Steve leafs through them and says he's more hands on. He tells her, "I need the short hand version, 'Fatherhood 101', because I have a wife who doesn't trust me with the baby." Adrienne smirks but says to go with his gut and be the best he can be, since it's all just trial and error. She says to let what's already good inside him come out, like he did with Max and Benjy and just be the kind of father he has always wanted. "You'll be great. Trust me," she tells her brother, lovingly. She gives him a few tips and he eats it up and thanks her for her help. They hug.
