While at Salem PD, Kate tells Billie about Lucas' arrest. Billie's not surprised. Kate demands Billie talk Lucas into letting her visit as it's for his own good and relays the story about how Stefano sent Carmine after Lucas but EJ saved him. Billie is surprised that EJ would help and says the police have beefed up security around Lucas' cell. Kate admits she has a plan but would rather not open up about it. Billie promises to try to get Kate's name back on the list.

Chelsea returns upstairs at Theta house to tell Steph that they just called the maintenance man and he's coming soon. She asks Steph to stay there and wait for him. She explains, he's going to use the ladder to check the wiring and will block the camera. As soon as he is there, they'll be bringing Ford out. Billie comes downstairs and scares the pants off of Stephanie when she asks for the key to the attic. Stephanie tells her where to find it and after Billie heads upstairs, Max and Chelsea come up the stairs with the heater. They are able to get the heater by the maintenance man without being seen on camera. Stephanie closes the door behind them. Billie and Dobbs return from the attic. They're ready for the basement!
Billie and Dobbs head downstairs and Dobbs inspects the dirt. He thinks there could be something there.
This is one big mess!
Mr. Decker asks to see the cellar but Billie enters the house and tells him she'll have him arrested for trespassing. Mr. Decker says his son is missing and asks if she has any idea of how it is not to know where her child is. Billie apologizes. She knows what it's like but he needs a warrant. Mr. Decker accuses her of protecting Chelsea the way she protected her when she hit Zack with her car. Billie says that was a mistake and Crawford wonders if she's making yet another. Billie chooses to ignore the offensive comments and shows him the video surveillance tapes that show Ford arriving at 8:35pm and leaving the following morning at 9:32am. They watch the tape and she says Ford must have left campus afterwards because he's not on any of the other tapes. Crawford wonders if it's truly Ford who left the next morning and points out you can't see his son's face. It wouldn't be proof enough in court. Billie tells him to leave and he makes reference to her past on the streets. Nick asks Crawford to apologize but Billie doesn't care and tells him to leave. He promises to return.
Back at the suite, Max and Stephanie worry about what to do. They know that people like the Decker's will do what they can to protect their images and worries they'll wind up in jail. She wants to come clean with Bo.
After Crawford leaves, Billie asks if there is anything she wants to admit to but Chelsea refuses and worries about the search warrant. Nick suggests they leave the house when the police return with Decker. Nick takes a call from a student while Chelsea calls Stephanie again and tells them they need to move the body. Stephanie panics and tells Max what's happening. "This is one big mess," she says and they run over to Theta House.
Christmastime in Salem
Kate walks in on Lucas who is emptying a bottle of alcohol into the sink. She's worried immediately and says drinking never helps when you're stressed. He shows her that he says he's throwing it out. Kate throws it away for him and gives him Ali. He snuggles her and tells her he has to go away for a while but she has her mother and grandmother to take care of her. Billie and Philip wander in and Billie notices something's amiss when she sees suitcases packed. She tells them one of them better start talking, when Lucas ignores his cell phone ringing. Lucas lies that Sami brought back some of her belongings from EJ's place. Billie wasn't aware Sami had moved into EJ's place but doesn't press the issue. She takes Ali from Lucas and realizing that he's leaving, she asks him to be safe. She takes Ali and she leaves with Philip. Lucas writes Sami a letter and says now he needs to get out before she gets back. Kate promises to give the letter to Sami and Lucas leaves.
Sami waits for Lucas at Alice's place and when she calls, he doesn't pick up. Later, Billie and Ali show up, Billie says Lucas isn't coming. She tells Sami of the earlier conversation she had with Lucas and how he wanted her to take care of Ali if something happened to her. Sami cries and runs to find Lucas. Doug, Julie, Maggie, Sami all put up their Christmas bulbs. Belle, Shawn and Claire hang theirs while Bo and Hope hang their own. Maggie notices that Jeremy's is broken and they agree to fix it later.
Back at Alice's house, Doug sings a lovely rendition of "Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" while Chelsea and Nick arrive. Billie and Ali, Belle, Shawn, Claire, Bo, Hope and Ciara, Chelsea and Nick and Alice all listen intently. We see Alice by the piano in a chair and with Hope beside her, Alice holds Tom's photo to her and says, "Merry Christmas Tom". The others say, "Merry Christmas!"
Outside the dry cleaners, Marlena and Steve watch the snow fall.
No more secrets.
Billie arrives at Lucas' apartment and apologizes for telling Bo about Lucas being at the church. Lucas doesn't care. That's not why he called her there. He wants her to be Ali's godmother! Billie is touched but unsure she's right for the job. Lucas counters that he wants his daughter to be like her and reminds her she has been through many obstacles and is a survivor. Billie is honored and accepts her new title! She wonders if he's asking her this because he's about to get arrested. Lucas denies this and says he wanted this for a while. He admits he's worried about Will and that he belongs in Salem, not in Zurich. He wants to protect his family. Billie promises to keep Ali safe. Lucas comments he's not going to Alice's Christmas this year but asks her to take Ali there, after Christmas morning. He admits he is uncomfortable as the 'ex-husband' around the Bradys.
Billie arrives at Chez Rouge and tells Maggie that Lucas made her Ali's godmother. She says it sounded urgent, like something is going to happen. Maggie worries Lucas is drinking but Billie is sure he's not. They promise not to let anything happen to Lucas if they can help it.
