Salemites arrive in New Ross, Ireland

The air is thick inside the Kiriakis jet, as Philip and Shawn have difficulties being in such close quarters. Chloe worries that they'll never find Brady and flashes back to telling Philip about Brady's disappearance and the warning she received after he was kidnapped. Belle notices that Shawn can't take his eyes off of her. Shawn and Philip share a few more barbs and Belle asks them to put aside their differences for Claire. Shawn isn't ready to do so. Belle opens up about Philip and wonders if he'll forgive her. She tells him she was weak when she had sex with Phil but isn't in love with him - it was all a big mistake. She professes her love for Shawn as he listens quietly. Chloe and Philip give the two some alone time and go off behind a curtained area. "I didn't think you needed to hear any of that," Chloe says. Shawn tells Belle he loves her but isn't sure how to trust her again. Belle tells him she has always loved him, even when she married Philip. Shawn says she needs to take responsibility for her actions. He thinks if Clare ended up being Phil's daughter, they'd be together still. Belle refuses to think that way. Chloe returns and Shawn goes to Philip. He tells him he doesn't hate him but he's ticked off. "I can handle ticked off," says Phil. Shawn remembers they were best friends and Philip reminds him that they're family. Shawn notes that they're a lot alike and Philip jokes they've the same taste in women but thinks Belle belongs with Shawn. They agree to put their differences aside and look for Shawn's daughter. They shake on it.

Meanwhile, Chloe tells Belle she's jerking both men around. Belle brings up Brady and wonders if she's interested in Shawn but Chloe professes her love for Brady and thinks Belle and Shawn belong together. Belle tells Chloe that Shawn's her soul mate and she doesn't want anyone else. She asks if Chloe wants Philip back but Chloe says she only wants Brady.

Bo and Hope arrive at the same Bed and Breakfast that John and Marlena are at. Hope takes a call from Shawn while Bo checks the B&B out. Hope shares their news with Shawn that Crystal was seen bringing Claire into the Aubin B&B in New Ross. Shawn doesn't tell her where he is but whispers to Philip that he's got the name of the place. After he says a quick hello to Bo, Shawn hangs up and the gang prepares to head to New Ross. Bo finds the two men that Marlena and John spoke with earlier. They ask for Crystal and Crystal comes down the stairs and tells the men its okay. They can look around but they're too late.

I'm afraid that Mr. Dimera has suffered a stroke.

Bo and Hope show up at Belle's hospital room, where Shawn, Philip and Chloe are visiting. They are told about Crystal's alter ego and that she boarded a plane for Europe with a child today. Belle panics. Bo and Hope say they booked a flight to Ireland for today and won't return without Claire. Belle and Shawn want to go but are refused. Bo explains they'll call when they land.

Stefano dry cleaned your brain

At the hospital, Belle removes her oxygen mask and gets up to dress until the nurse and Philip escort her back to bed. Philip tells her that his men are working overtime and Shawn's working on this as well. She needs to concentrate on getting well. The nurse berates her and tells her keep her feet off the floor! Belle feels helpless but Phil forces her to rest. She moans that her father would never let anyone push him around and wants to see him. Philip decides to take her to John's room in a wheelchair.

Belle and Philip show up to see John and they comment about him being in the psych ward and handcuffed to the bed. Marlena asks Philip to leave and after he does, Marlena takes Belle into the hall and tells her the truth. John remembers nothing. Belle is confused until Marlena admits that she told John to pretend to remember her. She explains she didn't want her to worry. Belle is shocked and upset but Marlena explains he's there to get well and explains what's going on. Dr. Carrington arrives and introductions are made. The doctor tells Belle they're doing all they can to help John and goes in to see him. Philip arrives back and wonders if it was a mistake to bring Belle here. He's apologetic but Marlena says he couldn't have known but it's better now that they do. Marlena reassures her that Claire will return to them, safe.

Philip brings Belle back to bed and they discuss John's condition. They wonder if he could be violent but Phil says he's sure they're being careful. Belle is thankful for Philip's help. He says he'd do anything for her and part of him will always think of Claire as his daughter. He kisses Belle's head and goes off to check on his crew as Belle prays.

At the hospital, Belle wakes up confused about the state of events. Philip assures her that John is alive but they've not yet found Claire. She begins to cry and relays a nightmare she had about Claire screaming for her. Philip is sure Claire will be back soon and urges her to rest. He lets her know Shawn's out looking for Claire. Philip gets her some water for a coughing fit and asks if he can hang around while she rests. Belle feels bad and tells him she's thankful for him saving her life. This isn't the way he planned things for them but Belle reminds him there's no 'them'. There's also no 'Belle and Shawn'. She starts to weep and worries about Claire. Philip stays with her while she rests and when she opens her eyes, she tells him it's nice that he's always the one she sees when she opens her eyes.

At the hospital, Belle is frantic when she hears about Claire being kidnapped. Philip explains what happened and Belle wonders why he didn't go after Claire. "You could have saved our daughter..." Shawn went after her, he explains but Belle starts yelling that she's going to find Claire and jumps up out of bed. Philip yells for the nurse.

Belle is sedated in her room and the nurse explains to Philip that she needs to be in bed. Belle worries Claire won't be found but Philip reassures her they will. Marlena enters Belle's room and holds her. She comforts her and says she has news - a miracle. In walks John and Belle can't contain her confusion. She starts to cry. "Daddy?" she questions in shock. John comes to her and she shakes in disbelief. "How is this happening?" She hugs John close while Marlena cries and John stands unemotional. "I was there," she yells. "I watched you die." We see a flashback to John's death and funeral. Marlena tells Belle they're not sure how any of this happened and they hug John from either side while he stands motionless. When Belle asks John to tell her everything, he doesn't speak. Marlena tells Belle that John's trying to get over what Stefano did to him. John says he's fine and Belle hugs him and tells him she loves him. John says he's glad that she's going to be okay and calls her "Tink". She notices he's not like himself and he agrees. Marlena sees his return as a sign and hopes Brady will come back too and they can be a family again. Belle thinks if anyone can find Brady and Claire, it's him. John tells her there are a lot of good people on the job. Belle's face falls and John changes his tune. Though he's tired, he'll help find them, he says. Belle asks why he has a monitoring device on his ankle and Marlena says it's for protection against Stefano. Belle buys it and John asks for time alone with his daughter. He kisses her head and reaches behind her and takes a pair of scissors on the sly. He tells her he knows she's worried but he's going to take care of things. John half smiles and leaves. Once they leave the room, John asks Doc if it was fuzzy and warm enough for her. Marlena gets the guard to remove the cuffs from John and John says he doesn't remember Belle. John tells her he thinks she really can help her. She tells him she trusts him with her life.

Shawn sits at Belle's bedside at University hospital and tells her that if it wasn't for Philip, she may have died. He explains how he was forced to make an impossible decision and chose to try to save Claire but failed. Philip listens from outside the door as Shawn promises they'll get her back.
