At the Kiriakis mansion, Hope tells Justin that she doesn’t blame Carly for her marriage problems. Justin consoles Hope as Bo walks in and sneers that Hope will always have her boy Justin there. Hope tells Bo he’s overreacting, but Bo hates that his cousin is always offering sympathy to his wife, behind his back. Before excusing himself, Justin tells Bo, "You’re acting like a complete jerk!" Hope says he’s right and that Ciara will hear them arguing. Bo wants to tell her about Carly’s exoneration but Hope already heard it from Justin. Bo thinks it’s interesting that Justin gave Hope this news in a way that Hope ended up crying. Hope says they both know when it comes to the Alamains, this could be a set up and Carly needs him more now. Hope asks Bo about the big secret he and Carly share, but Bo says it’s not his secret to tell and as soon as Carly is ready, Hope will know. Bo reminds her that Carly isn’t the problem here, since Hope took Ciara away. Frustrated, he tells Hope that she knows him and is acting like she wants him to change. He storms out as Justin walks in and apologizes. Hope loves how strong she is but she feels sick when Bo leaves. Hope asks Justin about Carly’s secret. She thinks Carly really killed Lawrence and wonders why the other person took the fall for it.

At home, Bo tells Carly that Justin wants them to meet him at the station - it's good news, but it's a little complicated!

Justin, at the station, muses to himself, "I don't get it. Why would you lie to us, Carly?" Bo and Carly come in, and Justin tells her she can stay in Salem as long as she likes - the real killer came forward and confessed! Bo tells Carly that obviously, someone is playing with her mind - and her life!

Carly and Bo have returned to his house - she says she'll pack, but Bo remarks that she's too smart for this - things just got a whole lot more dangerous for her! Carly says he needs to be with Hope and their daughter - she's got a police escort. She urges him to go fix things with Hope. Once he leaves, there is a knock at the door. Carly opens it and comes face to face with Vivian!

Justin arrives at the Kiriakis Mansion and tells Hope that the situation has changed completely. He fills her in on the confession, and Hope realizes that Bo will have to continue to protect Carly. She points out to Justin that Bo hasn't contacted her about this news yet - obviously he's chosen Carly over her! Justin says it just happened, but Hope notes that Justin found time to tell her! Justin sighs, and hugs her, saying she'll always have him. Bo watches!

Bo arrives home and after looking at his laptop, wonders what Carly’s up to now. He runs to find her.

At the pier, Mia feels a bond with Carly who seems to understand her. Bo interrupts and takes Carly aside. What’s she doing here? He saw her using his computer and knows what she’s doing. She jokes that she could never pull the wool over his eyes but he’s not laughing. She’s got an extradition charge against her and somebody out to get her. She has to hide! Carly tells Mia she’s got to go and they hug, before Bo and Carly leave.

Bo and Carly return to Bo’s place. Carly wishes she could have done something like file a complaint against Chad so Bo can teach him a lesson but Bo can’t do anything about the argument. Carly says she’s got to do what she came there to do or she may never get the chance. She feels cooped up and hates that she’s putting Bo at risk and keeping him from his family. She breaks down, remembering that before she killed him, she saw in his eyes that Lawrence knew he was dying. Bo reminds her Lawrence wasn’t the man she married. She had no choice. Later, Bo takes a call about Lawrence and tells Carly, "You’re not going to believe this."

Bo and Hope discuss her returning home. He wonders if she wants to return home because she loves him or because she wants to keep an eye on Carly. "Both," she replies. Bo’s surprised at her honesty and Hope reminds him Carly replaced her. Bo interrupts. Carly never replaced her and she’s not a threat to them. "Fancy face, you’re the love of my life." He wouldn’t give up his life because she showed up on his doorstep! Hope believes him but is thrown by all of it. Bo doesn’t think she trusts him. Hope admits it’s Carly she doesn’t trust. Bo thinks she’d change her mind if she got to know her but Hope doubts that. Victor doesn’t trust her, either. Bo doesn’t think she should take stock in what Victor has to say and she agrees. She apologizes for not being more compassionate. They profess their love for each other and Hope wants to rush to tell Ciara the good news but Bo doesn’t think it’s a good idea for them to come home just yet. It’s not safe. Hope wants to know more about Carly’s issues but he can’t tell her. They argue and Hope invites him to leave. Bo sadly walks away.

Caroline visits Bo at work, worried about his separation with Hope and about his ex-fiancée moving in. He admits Carly has already come between Hope returning home. Caroline knows this is none of her business but they carry on. Bo relays that Carly’s staying under court order at his place until they can fight extradition. Caroline wonders what Pop would say about this. Bo sighs. He knows Pop would call him a damned fool. Caroline suggests he ask Carly to leave but he can’t.
