Down on bended knee!

At the hospital, Dr. Rebert tells Nick that he's running an ad in the paper for the lab assistant job. A flustered Nick quickly calls Abby and tells her he's in trouble and needs her help!

Nick meets with Abby at Java Café and explains that he lied to Chelsea about there being any openings at the lab for her and now Dr. Rebert has put an ad in the paper for the position of lab assistant. He's worried that Chelsea will find out that he lied to her about there being any available openings and if she goes to apply for it, he's through! She'll find out everything once she sees Dr. Rebert. Abby fails when she tries to get Nick to finally come clean. She warns him that Chelsea is going to find out on her own and it will be worse! They leave the café and Nick thanks Abby for listening to her. She adds that she only wishes that he'd listen to her! They agree to go together to the hospital.

Willow is pregnant?

Abby sits outside of the garage and makes a call to her mom to tell her good news. She is going to University full time! She asks for her advice and says she has just one more person left to tell. She goes into the garage and tells Max that she is quitting work to go to University. He's shocked and tries to convince her to stay. She apologizes for the suddenness and says she needed a change. He thinks that she is keeping something from him but she only admits that he used to rely on her and now he relies on Mimi. She refuses to be the third wheel again and wants to focus on school full time - while he focuses on Mimi. Max hugs her and says that he's sorry that he didn't pay more attention to her. He asks if they're still friends and she smiles and give her word that they are. They hug and he tells her he'll miss her.

Nick arrives at Chez Rouge to tell Maggie he and Chelsea are going to Toronto to get money to Shawn. As he talks, Willow stands behind the fireplace and listens in. She takes her last pay check and wanders off to call Philip to ask him to meet her at Chez Rouge. Philip arrives outside the restaurant and starts to get out his wallet when Willow stops him. She'll tell him the news for free as long as she gets to go with him when he rips Claire from Shawn's hands. She tells him that Nick and Chelsea are going to Toronto to give money to Shawn, and they can follow the two straight to Claire! He comments that she knows how to hold a grudge and the two shake hands. Abby is on her way into work and has overheard part of their conversation. Philip greets her and she tells him that she didn't recognize him with his new face. She shares her news about going to school in spring and then pretend that she's late for work and runs into Chez Rouge.

Once inside, Abby warns Maggie that she thinks Willow and Philip are up to something. She relays what she overheard and when Maggie tells her what Nick and Chelsea will be doing, Abby rushes to warn Chelsea. Maggie calls over at Salem Inn.

Chelsea and Nick arrive at Salem Inn. They're ready to go to Toronto. Steve tells them to lay low at the airport and Kayla asks them to call if anything goes wrong. Steve hugs Chelsea and she and Nick leave. But are stopped by Abby who tells them what she overheard at Chez Rouge. Nick thinks for a moment and says they need to outsmart them.

Blackballed!

From work, Nick calls Abby to talk about Chelsea's request for a job. While Abby gets coffee from the Brady Pub she listens to Nick tell her that he can't get Chelsea a job in the lab, because Dr. Rebert (AKA Dr. Patton) is the one in charge of hiring! He tells Abby that on top of it all; Chelsea was nice to him and told him that he liked her. Abby tells him to lie. "Just tell her there are no jobs available," she says. He thinks it could work because there isn't an abundance of jobs available at the hospital, but things change when they hang up. Dr. Rebert comes in to ask Nick if he knows of anyone who is interested in a lab job. They need another assistant! Nick immediately thinks of Chelsea and fantasizes that Dr. Rebert meets her when she applies for the job. He freaks out but when he snaps to it he realizes that he can't allow Chelsea to work there.

Chelsea arrives at the Brady Pub surprised that Abby is going to be taking a full semester at Salem U! Abby gets a bear hug from Chelsea and they discuss the merits and demerits of joining a sorority. Abby notices that she talks about sorority life as though it was a family and finally understands that Chelsea wants to go to college in order to find a home. Chelsea tells Abby that she has a dream for herself and for her family and when Dr. Patton stopped talking to her, the dream came crashing down. She says that Billie is into herself right now and into this new boyfriend of hers to spend time with her, but Abby thinks that Chelsea is making too much of a one night stand.

The skeleton is Mr. Lockhart!

At the Brady Pub, Chelsea continues to try to convince Abby to go to Salem U with her, fulltime. Abby is going part time and working part time, she explains, but Chelsea jokes that Abby never goes 'all the way'!! She tells Abby she is over Dr. Patton (Dr. Mc Drippy) and wants to have a little fun in University!

Arresting developments!

Chelsea meets with Nick and Abby at the Brady Pub to ask them for their forgiveness. The two are shocked and don't know how to respond. Nick cracks a joke, "Is this pod person or is that you in there, Chelsea?" Chelsea laughs but asks them to forgive her for being so nasty to them. Nick asks her if they're going to be "punkt", but Abby thinks if she was only trying to change because of Dr. Patton. Chelsea tells Abby that while Dr. Patton is good looking, she really does like who he is inside. She misses him with all her heart. She tells Nick and Abby that she's in love with Dr. Patton and can't give up on him. He makes her want to be a better person and she admits that it feels good to be good! Nick suddenly gets up to leave and spots Billie entering the pub. She's back from an AA meeting. Nick acts nervously when Chelsea asks Billie to come sit with them and ends up spilling water all over the table. Chelsea asks everyone why they're acting so strange. Chelsea shows them all her acceptance letter to Salem U! She tells them that she made the decision to go to college to help out Billie. She has big plans and wants to buy a house for them one day, after she 'splits the atom', or become a congresswoman… She got a scholarship and will get a student loan and a job to pay for it, she says. Billie suggests that Nick help Chelsea a job in the lab with him! Chelsea begs Nick. She tells him she has done really well in biology and asks Nick to talk to his boss. At the mention of Dr. Rebert, Nick becomes flustered. Chelsea tells her mom that she'll live in the dorms so that she can have her secret boyfriend over. Billie becomes uncomfortable and jumps up to leave. She chastises Chelsea for discussing her private life in front of friends. Chelsea sits back down with her friends and thinks that Billie must be dating a married man. Nick hears a car alarm and tells the girls that his car alarm has gone off. He runs outside.

Nick tells Billie that he's sorry, but she tells him that he has nothing to apologize for. She starts to leave but he tells her that they need to talk.

Unwanted caller

At the Lockhart house, Chelsea complains to Abby that Lonely Splicer (Dr Shane Patton) hasn't logged in for a while. She worries about what she said to him to upset him. She writes a note and in the note, she tells the doctor that she knows his real name and it's only a matter of time before she finds out which hospital he works at and where he lives.

The bandages are off!

At Max's garage, Abby and Nick once again go into a discussion about how Nick should tell Chelsea the truth. Stephanie arrives to tell them that she is moving to Dayton Ohio to race cars. They're very happy for her but they're interrupted by Chelsea, who has news of her own. She tells them that she and her mother got a new apartment! She's happy that there will be, "No more crazy Lockharts." Stephanie finds Chelsea rude and tells her that the Lockhart's were good enough to give her a home when she was in need, so she should be thankful. She goes on to say that she's leaving town and finally has a chance to tell Chelsea how she really feels about her. She goes off on a rant and calls her a "Scared, angry little brat." Chelsea's sarcasm comes shining through and she feigns that she's hurt. She asks Steph why she isn't having a last bash, before she leaves but then stops short and cruelly implies that Stephanie doesn’t have any friends. After rolling her eyes, Stephanie remembers who she's speaking with and refuses to exchange barbs with Chelsea any longer. She hugs Nick and Abby goodbye.

After she leaves, Nick and Abby tell Chelsea that they don't like how she treats people. A disinterested Chelsea changes the subject. She tells Abby and Nick that has a new strategy to get her online love to talk to her. She says, "I'll tell him I know his real name and if he doesn't talk, I'll stalk him!" Abby doesn't think much of Chelsea's idea and tells her that when she is slapped with a restraining order, they'll all be there for her! Chelsea asks Abby to get Max to give her a job. Even though Abby doesn't think that Max will hire her, she agrees to do it. After she leaves, Abby rhetorically asks Nick why she puts up with Chelsea so? Nick has his own thoughts. He promises he is going to dump Chelsea. Tonight!
