Shawn's life is at stake.

At the Garage, Max explains things to Abby, regarding his brother and her mom. He understands her feelings, and consoles her. Max tells Abby about how his pop taught him that when someone dies that it's up to them to keep their spirit alive, and he asks her to have faith. Abby is thankful for Max's support.

Abby shares the news with Max, about the 'explosive secret' that Chelsea found out at the hospital. Max doesn't trust that Chelsea knows what the right thing is, and hopes that she knows what she's doing.

Philip and Shawn's drinking gives them more trouble than they bargained for.

Abby arrives at Chelsea's place, dying to hear what the confidential material was in the file. Chelsea explains about the content of the file (Claire being Shawn's baby) but doesn't admit who the file belonged to. Abby thinks that Chelsea should tell the people the truth about what happened. Chelsea refuses, thinking she can use it to her advantage!

At that moment, Billie walks in the room, full of questions as to what they're discussing. Chelsea lies, telling her mother that they're discussing community service. Abby is upset at being pulled into her lies, and implores Chelsea to do the right thing for once!

Belle stops by the garage, asking Abby if she has seen Shawn or Philip. Belle explains that without Claire, her life would be very different, and Abby has a puzzled look on her face...¦ thinking of what Chelsea said about the people in the confidential files she read about!

Chelsea arrives at the garage, to tell Abby what happened with her dad. She's in tears, but Abby tells her that maybe this is what she needs. She explains that her dad will forgive her in time. Chelsea thinks to herself that maybe she needs to start doing the right thing.

Chelsea reads confidential information from a file!

In the Deveraux living room, Abby has a surprise for her family. She wants them to have a family picnic tomorrow. Jennifer is going to Sami and Austin's wedding, and although Abby is crushed, Jack promises they will take a rain check on the picnic.

Abby brings up EJ Wells. Jack doesn't want Abby near EJ, because he's too old for her, and is a playboy. Abby is sarcastic and angry that her parents try to get in the way of her seeing EJ.

At the hospital, Chelsea calls Abby, instead of starting her filing. She tells Abby that she promised her Mom and Lexi that she would stick to her community service. She listens as Abby tells her about her plans being cancelled for the family picnic. When her back is turned, the mysterious gloved person places a file of Claire Kiriakis on top of Chelsea's filing. As Abby goes on with her rant, Chelsea finds out the truth about Claire's paternity!

Goodbyes are never easy.

At the garage, Abby asks Max for a job, but he wonders if she shouldn't be with her father right now. She's adamant that she will see him after work, but that this is a good opportunity for her! They argue about who should be with Jenn ..." Frankie or Jack. When the two are done their discussion, Max hires Abby for the job!

Abby walks in on Jenn and Jack laughing and carrying on, telling them ...This is how it's supposed to be....

Abby tells her parents about her new office job at the garage, then runs off to share her good news with Chelsea.

Homecoming!

At the office at the Garage, Abby meets with Shawn. She's looking for work filing papers, and making coffee! Mimi shows up, and Abby goes to wait for Max in the garage. Mimi pulls Shawn into a passionate kiss. Shawn apologizes for kissing Belle, in the hospital, but Mimi believes he is committed to her, but tells him that commitment doesn't mean much if there is not love. He restates his love for her, but she still fears he loves Belle more. She admits she doesn't trust Belle anymore. She proposes that they go to court to arrange visitation rights.

EJ shows up at the Garage, and since Max isn't there, he chats with Abby. He shares the excitement of a race and even asks her to work on his crew! As he departs for Carrie and Lucas's place, Abby smiles to herself. She has a crush!
