DiMera's Are Not Supposed to Forgive.

At the hospital, Nicole hopes Chad has changed his mind, considering there’s a chance he’s not Sydney’s father. Lexi walks by and overhears as Chad says he’s not afraid of Nicole. As soon as he finds out he’s Sydney’s father, he’ll get Nicole away from her. Nicole hopes if he is the father that he’ll allow her visitation. Chad doesn’t think that’s going to happen and asks what she’s up to, now. Nicole’s trying to be realistic. Chad thinks they should wait until the results come back to make an agreement. Later, Lexi introduces herself to Chad and warns him not to trust Nicole.

An Empty Crib...

Sami and Stefano argue in his room. He’s not trying to keep Sydney from her real mother. "Who happens to be…" Sami stops him and yells at him to keep his crazy opinions to himself. Stefano thinks she should be interested in what he has to say. Sami doesn’t think he cares about Sydney but she’s wrong. He’s her grandfather.

Outside of his room, EJ arrives and Lexi says Stefano’s sleeping. He’ll have to wait to see him.

Sami continues her rant in Stefano’s room. She’s tired of him and his son who are pigheaded idiots. Stefano retorts that she has her mother’s spunk but not her class. Sami slings her own insults until EJ interrupts. "What’s going on in here?" Sami wanted to set Stefano straight. EJ asks her to do it another time and orders her to leave. First, Stefano says she has no idea who fathered most of her children and when she learned the truth, she hid it. Sam goes at him but EJ pushes her away from him. She continues to scream and call him names and Stefano tells her it’s only right that she goes home to an empty crib! Sami screams and leaves as Lexi rushes into the room. EJ tells Stefano to stop letting Sami get under his skin. Stefano admits he has made a hideous mistake. EJ’s frustrated when Stefano refuses to say what it was. Once EJ leaves, Stefano calls Nicole and orders her to get back to the hospital.

Salem - A Memory Behind Each Tombstone.

Nicole has already dropped Sydney off at the hospital daycare and heads into Stefano’s room, angry. He is glad she has decided to return and says a short holiday is so helpful. Nicole asks, "Why aren’t you dead? I so wish you were dead." Stefano tells her he can’t turn his back on her for one minute and she messes up. They bicker and then Stefano says he’s not supposed to have any stress right now. He brought her back for Sydney’s sake. If Elvis ever learns Sydney’s his biological daughter…Nicole cuts him off and says EJ and Sami will kill her if they learn the truth. Stefano thinks she’s self-centered. Lexi interrupts and kicks Nicole out. She should go home and rest, but Nicole refuses. Instead, she goes back into Stefano’s room, where he admires her tenacity. She’s like a brave man at the Alamo. Brave, but dead! She thinks between EJ and Chad, she’s dangerous. Stefano disagrees. It just makes her mad. She doesn’t have the means to be dangerous. Nicole says she could rat him out and threatens that he’ll die a lonely old man. Stefano says everyone who threatens him regrets it, but Nicole knows family is most important to him. She and Sydney are a package deal and if he tries to cut her out of the deal, he’ll lose his son, granddaughter and family. EJ interrupts.

I Kicked Her to the Bloody Curb!

At the hospital, Stefano asks for Theo, Giovanni, Sydney and Nicole. The children can’t make it says Lexi, so Stefano would like to talk to Nicole. EJ admits he doesn’t know where Nicole is. Stefano’s confused and EJ says Nicole lost their baby, faked her pregnancy and adopted a child from Dr. Baker. Stefano acts as though he’s shocked and asks how it came to light but EJ doesn’t want to get into details, but she admitted it all. "I kicked her to the bloody curb," he admits. Stefano asks where Sydney is and EJ says with her mother. Both EJ and Lexi are puzzled when Stefano blurts out, "She’s with Sami?" EJ and Lexi think he must mean Nicole. He must have mixed up the interchangeable bleached blonde who EJ has sired children with! Stefano urges EJ to get Sydney back but he refuses. Stefano wonders if he has no heart but realizes EJ’s heart is broken. "She’s not my daughter," says EJ, even though he loves her. Sydney has parents with rights. Stefano gets himself worked up and goes into arrest, so Lexi grabs a crash cart. Later, Stefano’s resting peacefully and they hope he’ll pull through. Lexi can see he’s emotionally attached to Sydney but EJ says it doesn’t add up. Stefano was having Nicole followed. "What if he knew about this?" Lexi denies that Stefano would allow Nicole to pass off another woman’s child as EJ’s.

Back at the hospital, EJ grabs his father’s face and demands that he wake up. He refuses to lose him. Stefano wakes up and says Sydney’s name. EJ agrees to go get her. Lexi asks him to let Stefano rest, so they leave the room. Once they’ve left, Stefano opens his eyes.

Lexi calls EJ to tell him to get to the hospital. Stefano’s waking up.

EJ arrives to the hospital and Lexi says Stefano should be waking up anytime, but she warns him that there’s no guarantee the father they once knew will return. They rush into his room and hear him mumbling. He opens his eyes to big smiles and they ask him if he knows who they are. Lexi asks EJ to be patient, but EJ’s getting worried. "Lexi’s here. Do you know who Lexi is?" Stefano says of course he does and he’d appreciate it if he’d stop yelling! EJ’s face lights up and he kisses his father. "He’s back!" Stefano says of course he is. "What did you expect?" Lexi tells him he’ll feel weak for a while but will recover. Stefano’s happy to see Alexandra’s face and is told he has been out a few days. Stefano asks where Kate is, and EJ asks if he’s sure he wants her to come there, after what happened. Stefano laughs. This is his fault. He’ll stick to his diet to the letter, now, and asks EJ to call Kate and his grandchildren. EJ and Lexi share a private look. Stefano wants to see Theo, Giovanni, Sydney and Nicole. EJ struggles to tell Stefano what has happened.

Carly steals drugs from the hospital and as she’s set to leave the room, Bo and Maxine talk, outside the door. Lexi and Theo drop by and Theo jumps into Bo’s arms, happily. He has been mainstreamed in school and just got out of after school daycare. Bo asks about Stefano and is told he’s not doing as well as should be. Bo’s sorry to hear. It must be difficult. They discuss how quickly kids grow and Carly listens in from nearby. She smiles as she listens to Bo tell Lexi that Ciara can’t date until she’s 32. Lexi mentions how he’s a police commissioner and Carly’s eyes widen. She turns to go but somebody stops her, mistaking her for another doctor. She leaves but before she does, Maggie walks by her and looks as though she recognizes her!

Nearby, Lexi urges Bo to get counseling with Hope. Maggie rushes over and asks Lexi who is on staff. There’s no other female doctors so Maggie explains how the doctor looked familiar. Lexi thinks she’s just a doctor from another floor.

Inside Stefano’s room, EJ tells Stefano how the whole family is pulling for him, even Nicole and Sydney. He leaves and Stefano moves his fingers and his hand.

Lexi sits with Stefano and emotionally tells him that he can’t leave them. His heart monitor starts beeping and Lexi calls his name.

Outside Stefano’s room, Maggie and Bo discuss volunteering and Maggie asks if they’ve seen Lexi. The medicine cabinet was broken into and antibiotics were stolen. She wonders if Bo can investigate.

A Hot, Old, Nymphomaniac!

Bo goes to Lexi at the hospital and she admits she forgot the Salem PD volunteer program. Lexi would prefer to talk about that as long as it doesn’t include her family. She asks about Hope. Bo lets her in on what’s going on with him and Hope. As far as he can figure, Hope’s wrong about everything and he’s right. Later, they discuss the lack of budgeting for a Director of Volunteers at Salem PD. Lexi thinks Hope would make a good candidate to help change things, with her money, but Bo disagrees. It’s one of several hot buttons they have. Lexi apologizes for hitting a nerve and Bo chuckles. He tells her about how Hope took Ciara from him on a vacation and that they’ve moved out. Lexi is sorry to hear that and thinks Hope just needs time to get over the kidnapping. Bo’s not so sure. He thinks it stirred up ancient issues of theirs such as Patrick Lockhart and Chelsea running over Zach. He wishes he had an instrument he could wipe her mind clean of the past. He has never been this angry.

Outside, Carly is wearing a jacket with a hood, in order to hide her appearance. She tells herself she knows what to do and keeps moving.
Back at the hospital, Carly dons a white jacket and walks right by Bo. Lexi tries to tell Bo to hang in there and when she is paged, she has to leave.

Nearby, Carly steals drugs and then finds Bo outside the door, talking to Maxine.
