At the pub, Tony and Kate are toasting to the success of her new "Hearth and Home" product line. Tony tells Roman that he is sure Kate will knock Martha Stewart off her pedestal and be the ultimate American housewife. Roman bursts into laughter. A call comes in from the station and Roman quickly tells his friends that Paul may have met with foul play. He leaves, unable to say more. Tony senses that Kate is hiding something and asks her what it is. She tells him that any act of violence that comes close to her family upsets her. She decides to call Philip and tell him what Roman said. As she leaves to do this, Tony recalls John asking him to put a spin on Paul's corruption charges. He wonders if Uncle John had anything to do with this. Meanwhile, Kate calls Philip and tells him what Roman said. He says he'll talk to her later. Tony sneaks up on her as she hangs up. He tells her he has another meeting and has to cut their meeting short. Tony calls Anna's voice mail to tell her he's going to see Uncle John.
Tony goes to visit Uncle John at the mansion. John isn't happy to see him. Tony wants to talk about Paul. He's curious why he wanted to help him so much. John explains that he was interested in helping him back then, but he turned out to be "backstabbing scum" and now John just wants to, "Tear his heart out and feed it to my dogs." Tony smirks at the over the top remark. "That sounds delicious," he sighs.
Tony and Anna dine at Chez Rouge and comment that sex is a better workout than the elliptical any day! Tony tells "Mrs. DiMera" that as far as he's concerned, they're still on their honeymoon and he wants to keep acting that way! They toast to forever being newlyweds and Tony feels bad for those who don't have the same connection that they do. He tells her there's one thing that would make things complete. If she'd come work for him. Anna refuses. She loves her job. Tony pleads with her to consider it while he goes to make a call. He thinks she'll change her mind after he is gone. When he leaves, Anna's boss, Reginald Lumberg, comes to introduce himself to Anna. Anna is shocked as she'd never met him before. He tells her he was looking for her at work but was told she was dining here. He has bad news. She thinks this is about losing the Kate Roberts account but it's not. He's forced to close the agency, he admits. He can't offer her a severance package, because he has gone bankrupt! He urges her to get her belongings as soon as she can and tells her it was nice to finally meet her. He leaves her in shock. Once Tony returns, he asks if she has made a decision on her dinner. She has and tells him she thought about his offer. "I'll accept," she says. Tony's surprised, but she has a condition. She works with him, not for him! Tony wouldn't have it any other way, he says and is happy, but he's confused about the 180. She says he changed her mind. Tony calls Anna smart and strong and Anna thinks they'll make a great team. She goes off to powder her nose and Reginald Lumberg introduces himself to Tony. He lets him know that Anna will bounce back. Tony's confused and Reginald tells him what happened. Tony feels bad. Reginald says she put her heart and soul into her work and she'll have no trouble getting a new job. Tony wishes the man good luck and after he leaves, Anna returns and accuses Tony of being serious. Tony tells her they need to have a chat, but then tells her he doesn't care how they got to this point, he's glad they'll be working together. They toast to it.
E.J. goes down to Brady's Pub and orders a drink. Tony approaches him and says the wedding was a smash hit! E.J. asks how Anna is, and Tony waxes on about how her only ambition in life is to make her husband happy! "What a lucky man I am!" Tony notes that E.J. is looking rather gloomy. He wishes him some happiness and they toast. Tony then tells E.J. that they should sit at a table and talk about how they're going to improve his love life! E.J. claims that he's through with women, but Tony says, "Rubbish!" He encourages him to fight for Sami. Tony admits that E.J. fathering a child with Sami and having a child with her is what Stefano wanted. He presses E.J. not to give up on fulfilling their father's wishes. They agree that there is no logic in love, but Tony warns E.J. that it's imperative that he understands the need to fight for her. E.J. indicates that he hears him.
Tony and Anna show Maggie Anna's wedding rings and tell her they just got back from their honeymoon in Bora Bora.
Tony and Anna sit with Kate, Roman, Bo and Hope. Anna boasts that they stayed at a fabulous place with a chef. Hope wants to hear all about it but Anna says first, she wants to find out how Bo is. He looks well, she says. Roman, Kate and Hope tell Anna and Tony all about Chelsea's generosity in giving Bo a gland and how they're both healthy. Anna asks if Kate and Roman are back together and wonders if she'll get a wedding invitation soon. Roman says they're just having dinner and Tony laughs at Anna's flair for romance. They discuss making their home 'green', like Chez Rouge and the Pub, when they buy. Everyone gets on the dance floor and Kate is annoyed by how amorous Tony and Anna are. Roman reminds her they're in love. Nearby, Anna thinks Roman could do better than Kate, and wonders if there is more going on than they're saying. Nearby, Roman, Kate, Bo and Hope jokingly give Anna and Tony's marriage 2 weeks. Elsewhere on the dance floor, an insecure Anna asks Tony if he's ever slept with Kate. He's astounded by the question and should take her right there on the floor, to prove to everyone that she's his. "Don't you ever forget it, buddy," she comments. Roman tells Kate he truly hopes Anna and Tony last. He urges Kate to perk up. She tries. She's been thinking about Lucas being under house arrest, living with EJ and Sami. Roman hopes she isn't going to meddle. She's through with that, she says.
Bo, Hope, Anna and Tony take their seats at the table and Anna lets the group know that she's putting her career on hold.
Roman meets Anna at the pub and Anna complains that Tony doesn’t spend enough time with her. Roman reminds her that Tony's agency is growing quickly. Tony and Kate arrive and Kate sings Tony's praises regarding the commercial. Roman worries that Tony's investors may be concerned enough to pull out when they find out that Kate has a relationship with Martino Vitali, a known murderer, but Kate says she doesn’t have a relationship with him. Anna and Tony leave them to talk and Roman asks how she got mixed up with scum like Vitali. Kate says he was a client, years ago but also a gentleman. She knew he was shady, and worked with Stefano, but didn't know exactly what he did and made it a rule not to ask questions. She admits they had dinner and rehashed old times but that's all. Kate confesses she'd have gotten the dirt on him if Roman had asked, but Roman says, "Katie, you mean too much to me to do that."
Anna and Tony sit at a table nearby and a jealous Anna blasts Tony for defending Kate. Tony calls Kate a friend - that's all. Anna can't compete, she says and feels excluded from his life. Tony thinks she's right and thinks they should do something about it. He pulls out a ring and Anna starts to tear up when Tony asks her to marry him. He shows her the huge rock! "Why now," asks Anna, but Tony says he has had it in his head since he first saw her on the island. He apologizes for being insensitive to her needs and she apologizes for being a pain. "Here we go again," he says. "Anna Fredericks, Brady DiMera DiMera, will you accept this ring and become my wife?" He slips the ring on her finger. "There is nothing I'd like more," she cries and they share a kiss as the people in the pub clap! Kate orders for champagne but Tony wants to celebrate in private. They dash off while Kate wonders what that was all about. Roman says it was wonderful but gives them six months. Kate asks if they can stop discussing Martino. Roman agrees to it and buys Kate a drink to honor Anna and Tony.
Nearby, Tony meets with Mr. Bateman, who tells Tony they're going to make magic today with the dress rehearsal. Tony gives Kate a rose and a kiss for good luck. Anna spies the kiss and goes to Kate and tells her she hardly recognizes her without all her overdone eye makeup. Kate isn't happy that Anna's there, but Tony is using her for help on the set. Kate doesn't think Anna knows the difference between a crock pot and a flower pot! They continue to exchange barbs and Anna steps aside while Kate tells Tony she doesn't want Anna around. Nearby, Anna reads the script aloud and is overheard by Mr. Bateman, who asks if she'd like to make a few extra bucks and appear in Kate's commercial! Anna's intrigued and accepts. She's taken to hair and makeup while Kate and Tony gasp in astonishment!
Kate and Anna rehearse the commercial together and Kate says one of her lines, asking Anna if her husband appreciates all she does. Anna spies Tony and pauses for long moments, then cries bitterly, "No, no husband ever appreciates anything…" Kate is incredulous and tells her that's not the line and this isn't working! They argue until Kate tells Anna she's pulling her advertising account! After Kate leaves, Anna worries that Kate will pull Tony's account. Tony says it doesn't matter, as long as he has his Anna! He offers to take her to Chez Rouge, much to her delight, and they start kissing!
Anna bumps into Tony at a nearby table and his laptop falls. He calls her a klutz and she stomps off. Tony finds her and apologizes. He didn't know that she was the klutz - he didn't look up before he made the comment! Anna is shocked that Tony's not acting like his pompous self and he explains that his mind is elsewhere. He's concerned about Kate because of Chelsea. Anna feels for her - Caroline filled her in. Before Tony goes to Kate, Anna asks point blank if something is going on between he and Kate. Tony asks her to give him credit. "I love you and only you," he tells her and she admits she knows he loves her. They move closer to each other and Tony kisses her! Anna says she can't help but worry. Kate is a powerful and beautiful woman. Tony says that's nonsense. He loves her - not Kate!
Nearby, Kate thinks she has a right to know why Daniel's off her granddaughter's case. He tells her to give Chelsea support and never mind why he's not on the case. Kate starts to worry but Daniel says ethically, his hands are tied. She notices he's as concerned as she is and calls herself nuts when it comes to family! Dr. Daniel continues to drink and flashes back to his discussion with Lexi about losing objectivity and becoming emotionally involved where Chelsea is concerned. He orders another drink!
At Tony's table, Kate arrives and Tony tells Anna that Kate's in his commercial. He wants to make Kate the next Martha Stewart. Anna laughs and Kate explains she was surprised at first as well but she's intrigued now. She decides she's had enough and gives them time alone.
At the pub, Lexi loves her new job but she and Abe agree they need to make time for each other and for Theo. Abe leaves and Kate arrives and discusses her conversation with Daniel. She asks what's up but Lexi says nothing. Kate wonders why Daniel took himself off Chelsea's case and Lexi admits that between them two, Daniel was becoming too emotionally involved.
Anna admits to Tony that she's working for John Black. She says it is top secret and she can't discuss it with competition. Tony thinks it's silly but Anna says they can discuss it over dinner. Kate arrives and tells him she's ready for their dinner meeting. She tells Anna it was the only time she wasn't busy and Tony apologizes that he can't take her but he'll meet her at her hotel later. She refuses. She has a lot of business calls to make, and makes a call to information. "I know the time," she spits, into the phone as Tony and Kate leave the pub!
