A Big Ouch!

E.J. is making a phone call in the Mansion, when he hears Anna calling Tony for help. He hangs up and goes to investigate. Tony informs him that he and Anna are moving in! He says they have just as much right to be there as E.J. E.J. notes that he's only there thanks to John's good grace. Tony replies, "How ridiculous is that?" Tony says regardless of being cut out of Stefano's will, it is time for them to reclaim the house. He also notes that Stefano has more important things to worry about since he woke up than who's living in the house. E.J. reminds him that he is currently trying to gain John's confidence to get the goods on him. Tony insists they need to stand up and claim what is rightfully theirs! Anna worries about Tony taking on John - he's not cut out for this! She wants to go home to their own home, but Tony won't back down. Anna agrees to stay but says she doesn't like it one bit! E.J. tells Tony that he's been making major inroads with John and he doesn't need him interfering. Tony warns him not to lose sight of what their ultimate intention is - to restore their good family name. E.J. reminds Tony that they still have to contend with Stefano as well, he's laying low and watching - biding his time. Tony feels that Stefano may never come out of hiding and isn't a threat to their cause. The doorbell rings and Anna takes a delivery. It's a big order, and they all grow concerned when they see it's from DiMera shipping! E.J. feels that Stefano is behind it, especially when they realize the boxes contain Stefano's favorite opera CDs, champagne, and cigars! E.J. wonders if Stefano is on his way. Tony doubts it - the police are watching. Tony then turns to E.J. and tells him if Stefano is on his way, they need to be ready! Anna begins to cry. Tony tries to reassure her that Stefano has to stay underground. Anna counters that Stefano won't like Tony taking over. She tries to dissuade him from getting involved, but he says it's about the family name and getting 'that android' out of the house. She asks what about E.J. and he says, "One thing at a time, darling."

At the DiMera Mansion, in the living room, Anna tells Tony that he is scaring her. Tony says it's what is best. "Moving into this house of horrors?" she exclaims. At the front door, John arrives home with Marlena in tow and wonders what the deal is with all of the boxes in the house! Marlena realizes that they are full of Stefano's favorite things. E.J. strolls in and tells John they have trouble. Tony has moved in to take back the empire. John says over his dead body. In the living room, Tony answers the telephone. It's Stefano telling Tony to have his room ready. "I'm coming home."

Who are you?

In a stairwell, Tony and EJ discuss that Stefano's unpredictability allows him to survive. EJ wishes he hadn't tainted this empire he built. They agree that Stefano's a master of self-delusion. He doesn't see anything wrong with what he has done. "Even this," says EJ, with a wave of his arm. "Chemical warfare, for goodness sake." They laugh, but Tony says this is the time to take back their birthright from John Black. EJ's not sure if he wants to continue their father's legacy, but Tony wants to put dignity and respect to their name. EJ admits John has been good to him, but Tony finds John a liability. They know there will be war against Stefano and John. They hug and EJ tells his brother that he's with him. Tony goes to Anna, while Nicole finds EJ. She asks if this is the infamous stairwell. EJ knows he hurt her but they didn't have anything serious. Nicole knows, but she poured her heart out to him. She says people pour their heart out to their hairdressers and it doesn't mean they love them. He asks if she's in love with him. "No, I didn't say that." He's not even really her type. She thinks he's cruel and insensitive, like other men. EJ apologizes and tries to explain, but Nicole thinks he's a liar. He didn't lie when he told her he cared for her and had feelings for her. Nicole thinks he has gall to admit his feelings for her after kissing Sami. EJ calls Sami the mother of their children, and it's different. Nicole doesn't care. She takes off, hurt.

Tony finds Anna and she tells him she's doing fine. He tells her that Stefano took Joe, but returned him. Anna finds Stefano to be a maniac. Tony knows, and tells her that he and EJ made a pact. They're taking back the DiMera name! Anna doesn't want him to, but he needs to clean up his legacy.

Sam & Marnie Meet Again.

While John tries to fix the ventilation system, Anna and Tony pass out from the vapor. John fixes things and the vapor is sucked back through the vent, but we hear Stefano's voice over the PA system. He tells John he's too late. John checks for a pulse. Anna and Tony are still alive. Stefano laughs. "Not for long." John rages.

Tony and Anna regain consciousness, in the utility room. They were hallucinating before they passed out, they realize, and Tony says John must have deactivated the ventilation system. They're breathing easy. They need to find Marlena, Tony says. Anna cries, "How could Stefano do this to us?" Tony will make sure he gets what he deserves.

Caught on Camera!

Upstairs, Tony and John agree to work together. Suddenly, Tony is seeing Stefano instead of John. Stefano berates Tony and calls him a traitor. Tony raises his arm to strike Stefano. John grabs his wrist and stops him. "Not a good way to start a new relationship!"

Tony reaches Anna where she lies in a bed. He begs her to wake up. He kisses her and pleads with her to come back to him. She awakens and is confused. She remembers Stefano coming toward her, but doesn't remember anything else but the fumes. He says they haven't found Stefano yet, and relates to her how he was working with John and then John turned into Stefano! Anna cries, "What is he doing to us?" Anna leaves the room and goes to Marlena. She blurts out that breathing these fumes are making people crazy! She replaces Marlena's oxygen mask and tells her that when this is all over they'll make Stefano pay. Marlena tries to tell her with her eyes that she wants the syringe. As more of the gas comes out of the ventilation system, Anna promises Marlena that everything will be alright. After Anna leaves the room, Marlena shakes her head in frustration and stares at the syringe. Suddenly there is a bright light in the room and an arm reaches out and removes Marlena's mask. Wide-eyed, Marlena gasps, "You!"

Alone, John continues to work on the ventilation system. Suddenly, Stefano starts to berate him for his bad behavior over the P.A. system. John tells him he doesn't take his programming anymore. Stefano laments that there was a glitch in his programming, but they'll reboot! "Then you'll belong to me, forever!" As Stefano goes on about getting him back in the lab, John asks why he's doing this. "I'm your brother." Stefano notes that they aren't exactly feeling the love. John says he'll never get him back in that chair. "I'm gonna' kill you first!" As John attacks the speaker, Tony arrives and says he'll help him. John notes that a few moments ago he was trying to take his head off! "I've had it with you," John growls, "I've had it with all the DiMeras!" Tony hastily explains that when he did that he was hallucinating from the gas! He tells John that he found Anna, but this stuff they're pumping into this place is making everyone see things and hear things. John decides to get back to work. John gestures to a wire and says if they can get this connection back together, they're in business! Anna staggers over coughing and then collapses. Tony goes to her as John frantically twists wires.

I Knew You Had No Backbone!

John, Tony and Anna arrive at a utility room and try to find the ventilation controls. When Anna randomly presses buttons, Tony refuses her help. She sulks and Tony mentions how it's surprising that he and John are working together. He's feeling stung still, since John took the entire DiMera fortune all for himself. He's upset at how he is handling his new found power. Anna asks them to adhere to the task at hand and never mind arguing. John continues working on things and they promise they'll continue this conversation later. Anna runs out, upset at their antics and John grins and asks, "Does she bring that kind of energy to the bedroom?" Tony sneers and goes after Anna. Once he reaches her, she admits she's scared. She's worried about their future, but Tony tells her not to be. Nothing will change. Tony goes back inside to help John. John asks why Stefano decided to turn him into Robinson Crusoe on that island. They had their issues, says Tony, and they don't see things the same. He tells John about how Stefano fell for Marlena. John didn't know that and pauses what he's doing. Tony tells John that Stefano was used to getting what he wanted and thought he could get Marlena to love him. John knows it didn’t work and Tony says, "No she was in love with you, still is." John pauses working again and Tony recalls Marlena's words to John when she thought he was dead. "You were my life, my everything, my lover, my champ, my confidant, my knight in shining armor…" When John was found alive, it was like Marlena was reborn. John remembers Marlena coming to him in the lab, and speaking his name, with tears streaming down her face. John closes his eyes in memory and Tony tells him she is a good woman. He hopes she'll give him a chance. John doesn't think he's the man she's looking for, but Tony believes in them. Tony yells that Stefano may have finally gotten revenge by dividing the two of them. John says last time he checked, they were still married but Tony points out that he's not wearing his ring. He points out that he has cut off his family. "But I still have you, or are you siding with my brother?" John asks. Tony shakes his head. He refuses to get in the middle of it, but John thinks he needs to make a choice. "The man who banished you to that island for 21 years or not?" It appears Tony's with John. He puts his hand to his head and hears Stefano say, "I knew you had no backbone." Tony's confused and hallucinates John is Stefano. Stefano says Tony's not a real son and for that, he'll see him burn in hell. Tony grabs a wrench and bashes Stefano with it… but John is the only one there.
