The Brady Bunch pulls all the strings

At the warehouse, EJ refuses to allow Tony to harm Samantha or his child, but Tony tells him that this is a family issue, and reminds EJ that he took an oath. EJ admits he did, but says that the agreement was made with Stefano. He tells Tony that he can harvest the stem cells but can't take the baby. EJ gets Sami down off of the gurney and tells his brother that they're leaving. Tony yells that they won't be leaving alive, and pulls rank on him, saying EJ must follow orders, until Stefano is well. Tony again threatens to kill EJ and Sami, but EJ asks how he'll explain to Stefano how he killed his favorite son. EJ yells, "The only way you're going to stop me from leaving here is cold blooded murder!" EJ and Sami make their way out of the warehouse and Tony slams the warehouse door behind them in anger.

Is John waking up?

EJ Wheels Sami into the warehouse on a gurney. He throws out the goons and Tony yells, "What took you so long?" EJ asks Tony to guarantee that he won't hurt Samantha or the baby." Sami wakes up groggy, and is told that Stefano is dying and needs the stem cells that only their baby can provide. Sami tells him she doesn't give a damn about Stefano, but her baby matters to her. She struggles to get up and he apologizes to her, but says that he has to save his father. Sami tells her that they don't even know if he's the father, but he says that his instincts were confirmed through 'alternative methods'. He tells her about the voodoo ritual and she tries to escape, but the goons push her back into the warehouse. EJ promises her that she has nothing to fear, for her or the baby, but she calls him and his family all sick people. He tells her he didn't have a choice, and Sami is surprised. As Tony comes out from behind the curtain to agree with EJ, Sami turns around in shock at seeing him! Sami makes snide remarks about him being out of prison and calls him sick and depraved, but Tony appears to enjoy her feistiness. She paces as she tells Tony the same thing she told EJ, that she's not letting him touch her baby. "Not while I'm alive," she says vehemently. Tony fawns over Sami's bravado and tells her he just needs a few stem cells and then she can go back to Lucas. She refuses and Tony wants to stop wasting time, so says it's time for surgery. Sami panics and starts to cry. She begs EJ for his help, and EJ kisses the top of her head and apologizes. Sami calls him a coward and a fraud as she cries. He tries to hold her, and stay cool, but tells her, "Enough," and turns away from her, as the goons carry her, kicking and screaming, out on the gurney.

She yells at EJ, "What kind of father are you?" and he hides behind a wall, eyes closed. When he hears Tony telling Samantha that the baby is the DiMera's to do what they want with it, EJ's eyes flash open and he makes a run for Samantha, demanding to know what Tony meant when he said that the baby would be theirs.

Tony explains that he's not only taking blood, but is taking the fetus. Through gritted teeth, EJ tells him in no uncertain words, "You'll have to kill me before you can get a hand on Samantha or my child. Got me?" Samantha stares on, shaking, with an incredulous look on her face.

Fraternizing With The Enemy

EJ meets Tony at the warehouse, where he's taking care of Stefano. EJ is greeted with disdain by his brother, who lectures him about how their father is fighting for his life and that he may have made a deadly mistake arriving without Samantha! Tony tells EJ that he met a judge recently who renewed his case and let him out of jail, then reminds EJ that their father is in desperate need of stem cells. As EJ moves toward the curtained off area to see Stefano, Tony stops him and threatens, "If you hope to hear from father again, you'll do exactly as you're told. You'll bring me Samantha Roberts right now!" Tony calls EJ a failure and a complete embarrassment to the DiMera Empire, but EJ strikes back and reminds him that he was in a jail cell for years. Tony asks him what he has accomplished, and EJ says, "You'd be surprised." Tony reminds him that Patrick Lockhart and John Black are still alive and with a sneer, says, "Your ineptitude boggles the mind." Tony's surprised when EJ tells him that he's considering putting the child's welfare above his father's, but Tony has other ideas and yells, "If you don't bring the stem cells, there will be hell to pay!" He threatens, "If Stefano dies, so do you," Tony tells him, and then gives him a deadline of one hour to bring Samantha to him. Tony threatens, "You do not, I repeat, you do not want to disappoint me again."
