The reason I took an early retirement was because of health problems, but that's really ok. I check in here about once a week; I actually spend more time on the scrapbooking website but I'm a diehard DOOL fan as well. Hi flightobl. It is nice to hear about you. I guess because you are younger (50) you have more family ties that bogg you down. Hopefully as you get older, you'll have more time for just YOU! We take care of our families so much we tend to leave ourselves out.  I stopped that years ago so I now have time for me.  It's so easy to take care of ME. I have 3 great-grandbabies 4 months, 7 months and 4 years old. They are such a delight! I have one more GGbaby on the way. Due the last of August. I LOVE those babies! So far I haven't gotten to baby sit the little ones, but I will anytime they need me.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm still adjusting to retirement, and yes, I still have lots of family obligations. Mainly I spend about 50% of my time right now with my mom who has alzheimer's. She's in a great facility, but she has stopped eating so I need to be present moreso now than ever before. Both my daughters are grown but the youngest is still at home, attending college. I have more time now for my favorite hobby which is scrapbooking and my new internet addiction! So is is ok if I just jump in on a topic? |

Well, it's DOOL time right now so this is my first break. I've been busy all morning making centerpieces for a surprise graduation party for my daughter who graduates college next month. After Days I'll get on the invites and then if there's time, the placecards before I have to start dinner. |

Well we have three 50 and over at least on this board. My parents are both passed away and so is my one brother. Have one aunt left and a few cousins. No grandchildren. I retired in 1990. |

Where is everyone from?? Im from Maine! I am happy to say that all the snow is finally gone from yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Alanurse = Alabama nurse (RN) Now to Americal Idol: It was Anoop and Lil to go home last night. With Allison in the bottom 3, she may not be in the top three like I had thought. Danny, Adam, Allison. It looks like Kris may be in the top three. Anyway, those in the top 12 will have many offers to record, and the top 12 will go on tour, so it isn't over for them.

He is doing so much better than he has in months, I didn't even notice the changes that had taken place in him, they happened so slowly over a long enough period of time that it wasn't obvious. Now he is talking more, climbing more, running more, less cranky, more a part of everything... I only now realize how much he was being effected by his blood sugar. Before I just thought he was being a 'terrible two'.
