Lisa, Wow ur story really touched me... I have a daughter 1 month younger then ur son... and my boyf always wants me to bring her to the Drs everytime she gets a cold or the flu or basically anthing out of the ordinary, and i HATE doing it, cause everytime i do break down and take her they just say, give her tylenol shes fine, and then i feel like an idiot and never want to bring her back to the drs again in fear that im just being to protective... |

Quote AlaNurse: Here are the final 7. Adam Lambert 26 Allison Iraheta 16 Anoop Desai 21 Danny Gokey 28 Kris Allen 23 Lil Rounds 23 Matt Giraud 23 I've just read on MSNBC (my home page) that Adam and Danny are the top 2 contenders. (Must be by the two highest votes received each week???) I am a Danny fan from the first time I heard him sing, BUT Adam is very intertaining and a great singer. I can't get that weird song out of my head that he sang once. Two will be voted off next Wed. night. I predict that it will be......Lil Rounds and Matt Giraud. I wish they would reveal the votes each week...no surprise that Adam & Danny are receiving the most. Adam is actually the first AI contestant I've ever voted for. I have never been moved enough by anyone in the past to actually vote. I think his song you have in your head was from country week when he sang 'Ring of Fire,' a Johnny Cash song. His version was certainly not country! There are tons of videos of him on YouTube if you want to hear it again. I agree Lil & Matt should go next week. Lil is talented but she just doesn't seem to be able to get it all together. Matt is ok...the song he sang this past week was a bad choice & I didn't think he was worth saving. I guess they used it since they have to use it soon anyway, I think before it gets down to the top 5. |

I totally agree with your choices, except in different order: |

For all those interested here's a picture of my little monkey: i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp188/lyamsmommy/625005934_11.jpg As far as the pump for him, they said the earliest he can have that is 3 months from onset. We have to first manually do it to figure out his medications to set up the pump. The glucose tester is still inaccurate, if he has it, it will send the info to his pump but they will still have me test him to verify it. He is doing well, it's a bit easier than I thought, but still a bit overwhelming. He fights you so hard when it's time for the injections or to test his BG (blood glucose)I feel horrible, but I have to do it for his own sake so I do. Only thing I can say is that he freaks out less at home than he did in the hospital, so I have hope that one day he will get used to it. I have an empty syringe that I let him give me 'shots' with and I let him play with, hoping to make it all better. Fact is the needle is so small it really doesn't hurt, it's more fear and change that are effecting him right now. SashaLynn22 one of the main reasons I posted everything I went through is because I used to feel that way too, especially as I was going through that with my instincts telling me one thing while the doctors told me something else. I let that slow, if not stop, my fight. If I had been a few hours later he probably wouldn't be in my living room right now wrestling with his Auntie. I can't ever forget that. I just don't want any other mom to be the one to go that few hours too late. On a much needed lighter note.... I have watched AI since the first season, too many seasons seem to have promise but don't live up to it. I find this season to be one of the better one's talent wise. I am definitely an Adam fan, I think he has what it takes to be a star and stay there. He is an artist. Gotta say Kris sticks out more as the show progresses, but still nothing close to Adam. Danny too, but he sorta fades personality wise, especially next to Adam. I also really love Allison, she is obviously gifted and is very comfortable in front of an audience. So I'd say those would be my top four. Matt I sometimes love and others are just not good. Anoop seems to have talent, but he fades way too much for me. Adam and Allison are the only ones I have voted for this season. Lisa, he is so adorable. I'm happy to hear he is okay. My Mom, Dad and sister have diabetes. I know how hard it is, be strong. I'll keep you and your percious angel in my prays. I like Adam and Danny. |

I just worry about screwing up, I don't want to hurt my little monkey. He's is my world. I started calling him monkey cause as soon as he learned there was an up and down he started climbing EVERYTHING. Thankfully this scare is over and he has already started the climbing again. He is doing so much better than he has in months, I didn't even notice the changes that had taken place in him, they happened so slowly over a long enough period of time that it wasn't obvious. Now he is talking more, climbing more, running more, less cranky, more a part of everything... I only now realize how much he was being effected by his blood sugar. Before I just thought he was being a 'terrible two'. |

So on AI they used the 'judges save' on Matt, anyone have an opinion on that? Was it a good idea or should they have saved it for someone else? |

Quote AlaNurse: I am so open ,honest and definately not bashful. I have been on stage numerous times, local television, and entertained hundreds of people. I worked in management most of my 24 RN years, so it is easy for me to manage employee's, make friends and provide entertainment to suit the setting. I am 65, divorced, and have been retired for 10 years. Anymore unmarried people on this board? From your comments,it seems like most of you are in your 20's to 30's and married. I think I am the oldest person on this board. Am I? It dosen't bother me at all. I love my age. FREEDOM is awesome. I am married. Over 47 years. But I am not a 20 or 30 year old and you are not the oldest poster on this board. I don't mine my age but could do without all the aches and pains. We still manage to live in our own home and freedom is awesome and I hope we never end up in a nursing home. Watched Days on and off since Day one. Retired in 1990 and have watched devotely since then except for the serial killings. Marlena shoving donuts down Alice's throat was a bit too much for this old gal. |

I'm 50, been watching days since I was a junior in high school. I just retired this month but there are not enough hours in the day. The reason I took an early retirement was because of health problems, but that's really ok. I check in here about once a week; I actually spend more time on the scrapbooking website but I'm a diehard DOOL fan as well. |
