Quote Chrissi: Hi! I saw your posts and wanted to come and remind all that while we don't allow actor bashing, we allow constructive criticism. My post in another thread was based on an admission from the actor on Twitter and the only thing I pointed out was that when actors didn't learn their lines, it detracts from their character. It's a fact. It's not bashy or anything. Daytime actors don't get more than one take, usually, these days, so they have to be spot on and if they're not, it's not going to help them. Imagine even knowing your lines. Once you know them, you have to get the timing right, the blocking right and everything, therefore, your acting gets better when you don't have to worry so much about not remembering lines. As for everyone bashing the characters, Kathryn decided to leave the two 'bashy' threads open for now. What I think she's trying to say is that we don't want to stifle anybody, but at the same time, want both sides to see how it's not bashing to have a list of a character you dislike. It should be all in fun for both sides and not a big deal. It just happens that some fans are really sensitive to somebody bashing their guy!! It's not worth fighting over. I say if you love EJ, stay the heck out of his bashy thread and if you love Rafe, stay far away from that bashy thread. None of you are right or wrong to like either guy! Anyway, olive branches are always good and they can come at any time, whether it be today or next week. Hopefully we'll see more of this! Thank you Chrissi 4 being the voice of reason! I have said almost everything you have said so MAYBE they will take it better from you than me...LOL! Cheers back at ya! |

Quote Coledog: Quote bmes: I'm apologizing in advance right now, in case I start to get annoying for the next couple weeks..ha ha...or maybe i already am annoying to some people!! lol...anywyas... hubby's been sent on a base change for two weeks. so i'll be lonely. :-( well i'll be ok for the most part. my dad and brother are coming this weekend to visit. my dad hasn't seen our new house yet. and then after they leave, my gramma, grampa and auntie will be visiting for a few days. so i got the first week covered. not sure about the second week though. does anyone have anything exciting planned for the weekend? i'm hoping it's going to be nice weather, so I can take my dad and brother tubing down the river. My husband is a truck driver and is gone all week, only home on weekends so I can sympathize. I have gotten use to it though. We have no children so about five years ago my husband bought me a lab puppy for our aniversary and he keeps me company, his name is "Cole", hence my post name "Coledog"! He is my best friend! My good friend married a Marine and when they first married it was hard on her because he was constantly going being sent away for weeks at a time. OH!!! i missed this post.. ha ha. I have a couple of girlfriends who have husbands who are truck drivers. i have seen how it effects them. I am grateful that my husband DOES come home most evenings. in the summer we don't see him much at all, and at least once each summer he has to go away for a couple of weeks. It's definately not as bad as alot of other couple have it. military families for instance. God, i could just not handle that one bit. THAT takes a VERY strong and special person to be able to endure that and stay so committed. but yeah i hear ya, when your spouse has job that requires him to be away alot is very difficult. oh and my kids are starting to go totally squirelly too...the poor things. they miss him SO much. lastnight my hubby finally got a chance to use the satellite phone they have and called us, so i woke them up from their sleep so they could talk to him. they went absolutely BANANAS!! then of course it took me about 30 mins to wind them back down after all the excitement. but it was totally worth it. they've been especially irritable these last few days, i just loved seeing them just BEAMING again!!! |

My husband holds a class A CDL driver but we discussed this. I would not want to never see him, irregardless of the money. He works close to home doing water systems, bus driving and maintanence for the school. |

He works close to home doing water systems, bus driving and maintanence for the school. My husband hates doing it but he can make good money and for some reason my husband really worries about money. I work full time at a good job and he could definitly work local but he just can't stop himself. His idea is that he will continue to do this while he can stand it. We will build up our nest egg then he will retire from it early (he is 47 now) and work a lower paying local job. We have adjusted so it works out ok. It will be an adjustment again when he does finally get off the road and is home everynight! Everyone have a great weekend!! They are FINALLY calling for a warm DRY summer-like weekend in Wst PA so I am going to out enjying the great outdoors!! |

Quote bmes: OH SHOOT!!!! I DID have something written there. damn that's the second time i've completely deleted a post!!! ooooops. that's what happens when i post too early in the morning. what i wrote was that there was a 12 year old autistic boy that went missing on saturday in town here. they found him monday dead just 3 doors down from where he lived, inside some lady's house. apparently her mental state isn't so great, so we're staying indoors right now until she's found. it's such an uneasy feeling right now. this sort of thing doesn't happen here. it's a very small town, and any kind of crime is VERY rare here. the whole community is soooooo shook up right now. such a sad and tragic day. my heart goes out to the poor family. :-( Oh, that is so sad. |
