Days of Our Lives - MESSAGE BOARDS

As far as I am concerned, I could care less about john and marlena. I'm kind of glad they got fired. First of all, I am tired of these two characters. Deirdre Hall was over paid. Her character is boring. She should have left a long time ago.

As for John. I love Drake, but to me, the John I know and loved died when he was hit by the car. Robot John does nothing for me. If I didn't know better and never saw his earlier work, I would think Drake was a terrible actor. Robot John is also boring to me.

As for Kate, it's time to kill off the character. She was too meddling.

I respect your opinion, but I will have to disagree on the fact Deidre Hall was over paid and that her character was boring. She may be payed more than others, but there is obviously a reason for that....I am gonna guess bc she is a great actress with one of the biggest fan bases EVER. With that said, if the reason for firing was soley based upon budget then I can understand their decision. I just think that it will be very hard to write story lines around these two characters that will make any sense....well other than all of the teeny bopper story lines they have on there! Deidre's character can be, at times, predictable, but I wouldnt go with boring. That is not really her fault though...and again it all goes back to the writing, which in my opinion is horrible right now.

I can't believe John and Marlena will be leaving. I started watching the show when Marlena just came to the show, it was great. I guess they are looking for the younger people now. If they center the show on EJ and Sami or Lucas and Sami I will keep watching but if they don't then will be leaveing before Days Leaves. The reason I like this show so much was because it centered around the Family and crazy Stephano. If they get rid of Marlena and John, who are the family I will give up. They need to have John and Marlena helping Sami and EJ against Stephano. Nichole just wants the money; Sami wants to fight and make a good life for her kids. That's what I want to see the strength of the Bradys against the Dimera!

When you are being holier than thou you should spell correctly..its more effective that way...
Now as for your comments regarding Deidre and Drake..
Check out the front page of yahoo...
Funny but it made the news also..and a spot on ET..
So..there are people who do think its a bad thing for the show to lose these 2..key actors..
In fact..the articles are spelling the demise of the show..
Thousands of people are speaking out against the firing..so..
Its really rude and presumptuous of you to mock people
without any real insight or knowledge as to what you are typing..(spelling not included)
What you do is is equal to bashing people for liking blueberry ..or Coke over Dr Pepper..it makes no sense to mock people for who or what they like..period..
The real fact is these characters are extremely popular..and the fact that YOU don't care..really..says nothing..
You simply need to say it with less words..and less syllables in them..

I only started watching DOOL regularly 2 years ago. I do not have much invested in John and Marlena. Kate leaving wouldn't be a great loss either. Maybe then Lucas could go on with his life with Chloe.

Tune2Days - Great Response!

Deidre Hall has been on this show for 30 years. There is good reason for that!

It is simply crazy for anyone..just starting out on the show..to remain..
and for those fans of new people to dismiss a lifetime for some viewers...
I grew up watching Doc..I grew up with Hope..
The loyal fans who have watched through their lifetime and their children's life time..kept this show alive for the new younger viewers...
Just as my grandmother and Aunt did for me..
Do NOT poo poo the dismissal of lifetime actors..
or the loyalty of their fans...
As the new articles coming out..even on network news..state it may well be the end of this soap...
Thats sad...
Its pretty childish to scoff at fans loyalties to favorites anyway...

I agree John and marlana are sickining. Finally I hope days can get back to characters that are interesting. I wish that they would let Stafano give the justice that these to richley deserve to them!
