Days of Our Lives - MESSAGE BOARDS

It seems the show is trying to go in a different direction with all the recent hiring of new actors. The letting go of established actors on the show is nothing new. It has been going on for years. The show only has X amount of money for cast members so some of them have to leave to make room for the new ones. I don't like it but it is the way it is. Like us, they have a budget too.

It doesn't make it any easier when favs are let go. I hate to see John and Marlena leave but their characters have become boring and so is their dialogue. Marlena use to be about hope and brought the goodness out in people. Now she is confusing to watch. Who is this person? I do not like the "new" John. He gets on my nerves.

I am not a fan of the autism story. I usually tape the program and fast forward this story. Plus I have never been a fan of Lexi. Her and Abe are like oil and water.

The twenty something crowd are annoying. I wouldn't miss any of them if they were let go.

I hope the writers can come up with rich stories that get viewers excited and talking about Days again. If bringing in new actors is what it takes I am all for it.

The show used to be all about learning life's lessons, enduring love in the face of adversity, hope, and family values.

Now, it's all about the men in the town passing around the women in the town or something?

I think they just need to get back to the original themes and they will be OK.
