I had a thought; what if all this is being manipulated by Stephano? After Nichole had dinner with the Dimera family, Stephano has EJ called away on business. After Nichole eats the food and EJ is gone she goes into the hospital and possibly loses the baby. Maybe Stephano drugger her food so he could steal her baby, which she thinks she looses and Stephano raises the baby as his next pawn?!! I think Stephano knows that EJ loves Sami and wants to put them back together and I wouldn't doubt is Rafe is working for Stephano and that is who really sets up the convent hide-away. Stephano has got his have his hands in some of this don't you think? You know Stephano knows!!

That could be a possibility, you never know.

I was thinking that Nick is Stefano's new Pawn..

Stefano always has something up his sleeve and he's been way too quiet. I do believe he prefers Sami and EJ together and Nicole doesn't fit into that, however Sami has proven very contrary. So I wouldn't put it past him to do anything.

I would just think that he would do something like hire a private doctor for Nicole and then when the baby is born have the doctor announce it still born and switch it with a dead baby. I wouldn't think he'd want to risk a possible heir by inducing labor so early and risking the baby's health.

No matter what he's up to something and probably is well aware that Sami is pregnant, at the very least suspected it, which would lend credence to the whole Rafe actually working for Stefano thought. Stefano, control freak he is, wouldn't want to be unaware of what's going on with her. It is possible that Stefano suspected her pregnancy and the call Rafe made just confirmed it for him. I always thought it suspicious he didn't stick his two cents in about keeping Sami safe at the Dimera mansion.

If he hedging his bets between the two women waiting to see who winds up with EJ, having Sami somewhere away from family and friends when she gives birth gives him the perfect chance to just take the baby via Rafe if EJ actually marries Nicole in the meantime. Meanwhile having Nicole at the mansion gives him the ability to do something on that front as well, either way he would feel safe to just wait and let it play out.

IMO I honestly don't think he'd need to push his luck and force Nicole into early labor, he's probably just waiting it out.

A very interesting theory and Luvdbi, your response is excellent. I've started wondering if Stefano really is as accepting of Nicole as he seems, and if Rafe is what he appears to be. I don't know if Rafe necessarily is a bad guy but it's very possible he is on Stefano's payroll. I got suspicious when earlier this week Rafe clearly called someone while Sami was asleep but we don't know who, although he claimed he called his superior. And all of a sudden he knew that Nicole was out on bail and back living at the mansion and passed the info onto Sami. That could account for all the hints he's been dropping regarding her feelings for EJ. Stefano would not just sit idly by with everything that's going on, Sami was afraid that Stefano figured out she was pregnant when she first considering telling EJ. Old man DiMera definately knows something, and probably has something going behind the scenes. When he sends EJ away on business this coming week, I have a feeling it was deliberately orchestrated to get him away from Nicole, but I don't think he would want Nicole to go into premature labor, too risky, whether he approves of Nicole or not it's still his heir and granchild.

Very interesting, I do think agree that Stephano would not want to hurt an heir, but I was just thinking about when he took Billie & Bo's baby. She was born premature and Stephano saved her. We will see though, I agree, Stephano is being too quiet, he has got to be up to something. By the way were is Rolf?

this thread got me thinking...what if stefano is behind nicole's miscarriage? maybe stefano "knows" something about this baby? maybe he knows that ej is not the father...now let's just go with the theory that the paternity test ej took was fixed by nicole...would stefano sit by and have a "non" dimera welcomed into the toxic family fold? or would he make "something" happen so that nicole lost her miracle baby? remember stefano was bellowing about revenge when he first returned so maybe this is revenge against ej as well...it will be veryinteresting to see if he has his hand in this story line...

I swear Stephano knows what is happening and I do believe he has some kind of plan going on! After all he is the master manipulator. I just hope they don't drag this baby thing on too long. How many times have we been through this?!
