Ok, you know how DOOL goes, no one EVER gets killed and stays dead, or no one EVER gets convicted and STAYS locked up, so I was wondering what you guys thought. If Nick gets busted, will he stand trial? Will the evidence get LOST as it usually does? IS Trent REALLY dead? Will Nick be found insane and have to seek Marlena's council? Will he leave the show? I have absolutely NO IDEA how they will spin this web of crap, so your thoughts?

If Nick goes to trial, he will not be charged with murder. He will be charged with manslaughter. According to the flashback, he did not go there to murder Trent. He came upon a scene where it looked like Trent was about to cause great bodily harm to his own daughter; and he killed Trent to save Melanie.

I do not, however, believe he will go to trial as I don't think this really happened. Nick is hallucinating.

When they checked the knife for fingerprints, they did not find any except for Caroline's. In the flashback, Nick is not wearing gloves. Whoever killed Trent wiped the knife clean of prints, and was also wearing gloves. In the flashback, the knife entered Trent's back up high, between the shoulder blades. In the scene with Caroline, the knife is located quite a bit lower than that.

It also says in the spoilers that the cemetary caretaker lies.:)

I do not think he will get any time. It wasn't premeditated unless they try to tie it in with Willow's death, he was also "accidently" responsible for that one. The spoilers talk about a vet leaving but I do not think of Nick as a vet. I think the vet is Sammi, think about it Chrissy said she wasn't going to talk about it anymore because it was probably story line related, well we all know that when you have a baby you are usually off canvas for about two to three months. So maybe she goes on the run with her baby to keep away from the Dimeras and Rafe goes to find her and finally does after a couple of months and he delivers her baby and he realizes he is in love with her and they all live happily ever after (until they reach Salem) Everyone is happy couples til they get back to Salem, should tell these couples something. Sorry, I know this is a Nick thread but I did not want to lose my train of thought. Happens a great deal now that I have two small children at home and go to school full time. My mind is mush

Isn't he on some major medication. If he did it - then they will use that as a reason for him not to be locked up.

As of yet I have not heard of this actor leaving the show so there must be a future storyline with Nick.

Ya i agree, i remember reading a long time ago that Claude or his men were the killers.... i bet that is exactly what will happen!

Does anyone know how they find out that Nick (supposidly) did it?

Here are a couple of other things to chew on:

The deep scratches accross Trent's face. Nicole said she "struggled" with Trent. She did not say she scratched him accross the face, and there have been no scenes showing her doing that. How did he get the scratches on his face?

Nick's hand was severely bruised. This indicates more that he punched someone than it does that he stabbed someone. If his hand was cut, or bloody; then that would indicate that he stabbed someone. But, his hand was bruised. How did Nick bruise his hand?

And, one more thing...I am pretty sure that when Trent's letter was read that he said that "if you are reading this letter, then my DEAR WIFE has made good on one of her many promises to kill me."

I don't think he referred to his DEAR WIFE by name. Everyone just assumed that he meant Nicole. What if Trent had another wife?

I know he was blackmailing Nicole because they never got divorced..or so he said. But, if Nicole married both Lucas and Victor while still married to Trent, then could Trent not also have married someone else?

Or..what if Nicole's dark side is a lot darker than we know. What if Nicole has a split personality....

Also, there was a guy in France who was crazy about Melanie. His name was George. Remember him?

Yeah, no one has ever explained how Nick's hand got bruised up like it was.

Nicole having split personalities, OR another Lame-assed amnesia SL, would open it up for Nicole to be Mel's Mommy!!

Nicole turning out to be Mel's mommy is exactly what I am hoping for. That would open up some great story lines for both of these characters.....

Nicole has done a lot of crazy things in the past, but she has never gone to trial. I would love to see a trial with Nicole as the defendant. She would have a great self-defense case with a split-personality spin on it, also.

The story of her whole past could come out in the trial, further developing the character, and it would draw both Marlena the psychiatrist and the new psychiatrist into the story lines.

It would also give Marlena and John something to work together on once the Mayor's killer is found.

As for me, I NEVER liked the character Nick! I always thought Chelsea could do better and was pleased to see her fall for Dr. Dan. I have been disappointed in Dr. Dan's recent behavior, his emotional jumping between Kate, Chloe and his claims of "undying love" for Chelsea but his actions are SCREAMING he's not one who can be trusted.

Back to Nick, I hope they send this guy away and TERMINATE this character from the s/l. Salem would be a better place w/o him.

Im thinking that Nick is Stephanos new pawn..
