Ok, I am confused about something. I know I have read that Melanie is only 17 and she is having her 18th birthday soon. Why on the earth are the writers pairing her up with men who are in their 20's..until she turns 18, she is a child, so why o why is Phillip, a rich, successful, FINE looking man entertaining any sexual thoughts when it comes to Melanie? Phil has to be in his late 20's and Nick, I am guessing is around 24ish....I know age is just a number, but Melanie is supposed to be in high school! I just can't believe this writing!

I agree... and actually this whole s/l with Melanie and the charactor period bug the you know what out of me

i just know the writers are setting her up to be nicoles daughter...i can feel it!

Also, I too think that Mel will end up being Nicole's daughter.

I didn't realize she was just 17.
I must say she annoys the crap out of me.
But why isn't she a ward fo the state at this point?

I guess the writers had to make her 18 so that the men who have sex with her can't be called a rapist.

I dont really care about her age. What I scare about is her fainting hand to the forehead every minute and her hand on her forehead and her hair. WTF. It is driving me NUTS!! Does anyone else see this or annoyed by this?

I qas just annalizing this very thing today . It is a constant ,but doesn't annoy me any.

I have been wondering the same thing.. It's not appropriate for them to have older male characters in bed with what is supposed to be a 17 year old.
And for Nick.. if he is supposed to be professor (unless he lost his job) shouldn't be dating a high school student!!
It's downright creepy.

They should have made her at least 18 if they were going to do storylines with her being so promiscuous.

This is supposed to be Days of our lives.. not to catch a predator..

if you go by when he was actually born, they are about the same age(Ithink) they just soap aged him!
