I actually thought it was all about Melanie. Just a few months back we hardly ever saw Sami. Alison Sweeney is a great actress. I miss her when she isn't on. I wait for the day for her and EJ to reunite.

Sammi is such a strong character for the soap...some love her & some hate her...but when she is on everyone watches her...that can't be said for everyone. for example...i FF through melanie, chloe & lexi...it's like blah blah blah - filler filler filler and back to the real storyline...JMHO

I like watching Sami, she is one of my favorite actresses. But im thinking Nicole took it from her. I like Nicole way better. I used to hate Nicole. But not now!

If anyone is one-dimensional recently, it is Nicole. She is obsessed with that baby and speaks of little else. Sami is fiery, active, scheming and interesting. I don't like Nicole and EJ, but I would hate to see Nicole hurt.

I find that I fast forward through the Nicole/EJ scenes to get to the Sami/Rafe scenes. The rest to me is just filler.

I'd rather watch Sami than Nicole, or Chloe or Melanie for that matter. I agree that those last three don't really deserve all the airtime they've been getting. I don't always like what Sami does but she does most things out of misguided love or anger, whereas Nicole is motivated by money and trying to nail other women's leftovers. You can't really say the show is all about Sami because until recently it seems to have been the Nicole show. Sami has far more depth than Nicole, and EJAMI is one of the hottest couples DAYS has ever had. Why was Dena trying to ram EJOKE down our throats? They were okay when they were just flirting but these stupid attempts to put them together are just lame. He doesn't love Nicole and he even called out Sami's name when he had sex with Nicole in the elevator. I have never cared for Nicole but she had some mild entertainment value before, now her character (and pregnancy for that matter) seems pointless. Why couldn't they have had her become pregnant by a man who actually loves her? I have this to say - why is it always about Nicole? Why is she constantly repeating her "me, me, me" mantra?

Sami has been on the show a long time. While I share the frustration that the vets haven't been getting more airtime, Sami is a big part of DAYS, whether you love her or love to hate her. And she finally has true love, only to have that skank Nicole infiltrate into the picture. Sami is a main character, more so than Nicole. Sami got paired with Lucas after they fought for 14 years and the guy still is basically just a supporting character. Sami deserves to have actual love with a front-burner character. They need EJ to get back to his old self and have him stop falling for Nicole's crap.

Cause she's the character you hate to love and love to hate. Everyone feels something about her. She is interesting to watch even when you hate what she's doing.

However....

I have to agree with those who say she hasn't been on enough. Melanie is annoying, Stephanie (who I used to like) has become boring, Chelsea is selfish, immature, stupid and all self righteous with no reason and Nicole ..... she's on all the time, but frankly it's been awhile since I've really seen Nicole. They keep showing this pale imitation (whiny, lovestruck, sugar sweet, overly annoying and yawn worthy) who is the character formerly know as Nicole (snarky, b****y, scheming, insecure, but always entertaining). I feel like Sami is the only female character that at least still resembles herself. Still shooting her own stupid self in the foot making the same decisions and justifying them even though they ALWAYS come back to bite her in the butt.
