Ummm. I sure hope i'm not the only one thinking this way but umm excuse me writers he was in MAXIMUM security prison!
I certainly hope that they don't continue this storyline because it's so unreasonable. I mean Lucas shot!!! E.J for darn sakes and now he's just outta jail and wants Allie no judge in their right mind would give a man who just went to MAXIMUM security prison A BABY! Expecially since he went to prison for a violent crime.

Well, it hasn't really come out that Lucas did shoot EJ. There has been some speculation that Will shot EJ and Lucas is covering for him. JMO.

I haven't been able to stand the character of Lucas Roberts/Horton for the past year. He's become such a self-righteous abusive jerk! I really hope in the end that EJ turns out to be the father of both Johnny and Allie, so Sami never really has to deal with him ever again!

I feel he has EVERY right to want custody of his daughter. Why shouldn't he? There is no reason that a father should not have the exact same rights to their children. Putting aside their criminal records (they both have them). They are divorced, and it often turns into a custody battle.
On a side note, Lucas is terrified for Allie's safety...and he should be with Stefano running around Salem wrecking havoc.

This is true, and I don't blame him. I just despise the way he is going about it. He's only going to end up making the same mistakes he and Sami made with Will. It's like he can't grow up and act mature. Lucas always has reacted before thinking.

Fathers have as much right to their children as a mother, but joint custody should be what he is asking for not full custody….he doesn’t deserve it due to the fact Sami has been an excellent mother to both of her babies.

Should Lucas be terrified for Ali of course he should but what the heck makes him think he is safe from Stefano. When he asked Stefano if he was going to get him for shooting EJ, Stefano replied not right now. Right now Sami is going to be the one to give you pain. So all Stefano said is not now but probably later.

I also believe if Lucas had not seen EJ and Sami in the stairwell kissing he would not be asking for full custody he would be asking for joint. I think a part of him is punishing her again for her feelings for EJ! With Lucas it seems like every other month we hear the same lines from him I’m taking my child and leaving here now…..Same old Lucas punish her for not being the perfect Stepford wife…JMO

I'm not saying that he shouldn't ask for custody i'm just saying that his request if quite far fetched. If anything
he should be lucky to get visitation with Allie. That would be a more reasonable request then FULL custody.

I'm a little ambivalent and see both sides. Sami has been a good mother, but I wouldn't want my child right under Stephano's nose either. I hate these tugs of war over the children. I wish both Sami and Lucas could come together, sit down and come to an agreement as to what is best and safe for Alli.

Lucas wanting custody is fine, however no judge will give full custody of Ali to Lucas, lets not forget that these are twins and they will not seperate them(but this DOOL), I think any judge will have the twins stay together with their mother and whomever Sami is with.

Wow! Really good arguments! Bryceson, you made a good point about Lucas not being safe either.

I agree that they should have joint custody. I hate it when we see fighting over children. It usually ends up being about one parent trying to hurt the other instead of really doing what is best for the child.
