EJ and Sami laid there for a long time. Holding one another from an outsider watching them it looked like they were holding each other for dear life. EJ sat holding Sami and rubbing her back and stroking her head.

EJ: “Shhhh, its o.k let it out.. you’re going to beat this.” “ I know you are not fond of the DiMeria name but you have access to all of the DiMeria power. I am not going to let anything happen to you.” “Sami, do you understand me?” “Sami”

EJ leans back so he can get a look at Sami. “Darling, I am going to get your doctor and I am not taking no this time.”

EJ gets up out of bed without any argument from Sami. He starts to get really concerned she has not said much since he told her. What if she gives up? A cold shiver runs down his back. He starts to the door, his back is to Sami.

Sami: “ EJ,” EJ stops and turns around; “ the baby is yours not Lucas’s.”
“ I thought you should know that.”

EJ quickly walks back over to her bed and kisses her patiently on the lips. He smiles, from ear to ear, he brushes a wisp of her hair off of her face.

EJ: “ I know, I could feel it in my gut.” “ I really don’t care if it was mine or Santa Clauses.. I love you and I need you and if that means caring for someone else’s baby so what.” “Although, I am damn happy that this baby is mine;” rubs her stomach ever so lightly. Sami half smiles and strokes his hand while he is rubbing her stomach.

Sami: “ O.K you had better go get my doctor and lets figure this out.” EJ kisses her forehead, “be a good girl and I will be right back.” “Yes, dad, where am I ganna go?” EJ gets up and walks out of the room telling Sami over his shoulder he will be right back.

EJ walks into the hall, half relieved half excited that Sami woke up. He walks over to the nurses station and sees Dr. Jonas at the counter.

EJ: “Dr. She’s awake!” Dr. Jonas gets this weird look on his face, EJ notices it but decides not to say anything right now.

Dr. Jonas: “Mr. Di Meria, that’s great news I will be right in to see her.” The doctor walks off and immediately gets on the phone out of ear shot of EJ. “Amber, its me, she’s awake be ready in one hour.”

EJ is already in Sami’s room when Dr. Jonas walks in. “Well young lady you gave us scare.”

Sami: “ Ya, that’s what I have been told, where do we start with my treatments?

Dr. Jonas: “ Well, first things first, I want to remove that bandage to check that eye.” The doctor turns to EJ, “ hey man you wanna give us a few minutes.” EJ stands their not sure what to do.

Sami: “ Doctor my husband can stay in the room.” Both men look startled, EJ starts to stutter..
“Husband.” Sami looks up at him, “let’s talk about that after the doctor is done looking at me.” Dr. Jonas looks anxious, “ O.k Sami what ever you want.”

Dr. Jonas: “All right then, Mr. Di Meria, I need to switch places with you so I can get at Sami’s bandage.” EJ gets up from his seat next to Sami’s bed “I will under one condition.” Dr. Jonas looks surprise by his declaration. “What’s that?” EJ smiles really big, “ please call me EJ.” Dr. Jonas looks more relaxed, “ ok, EJ why don’t you turn off the lights and we will check her eye.”

EJ walks over to the lights and turns them off while Dr. Jonas is removing her bandage.

Dr. Jonas: “ O.K Sami, close your eyes when I tell you when open both eyes slowly and tell me what you see out of the injured eye.” Dr. Jonas removes her bandage and he counts to three.
“ O.K Sami, one two three open your eyes.”

Sami opens her eyes and sees EJ’s face out of both eyes.

EJ: “ Smantha, come on what do you see?”

Sami: “ EJ, I see from both eyes you look worse than me.” Everyone starts to laugh both men take seats by her bed.

Dr. Jonas: “ That is wonderful Sami, now we need to talk about the rest.” “ What did EJ tell you?”

Sami: “ Well he told me I am pregnant, I have a clot in my brain and oh ya, I have cancer.” Sami, starts to get visably upset again, The doctor grabs her hand to comfort her.

Dr. Jonas: “ Sami, we need to run more tests and now your awake we can do them.” “ EJ, I want you to go home and see your children and get a good night sleep.” “ I will have Sami tied up for hours.”

EJ starts to protest, but Sami cuts him off. “ EJ, the doctor is right, please go home for the night.”
“ Think of the children, they need to have at least one parent around.” EJ gets up and kisses Sami good by, “ I will be here early in the morning, and I will call you before I go to bed.”

Sami: “ EJ I will be ok I am with the great Dr. Jonas.”

Dr. Jonas: “ EJ, I will take good care of her. go home and get some rest.”

EJ leaves the room and the doctor turns back to Sami.

Dr. Jonas: “ O.K young lady you earned a ride down to ultra sound.” The doctor buzzes the nurse’s station and requests a wheel chair. One is brought in and Sami is helped into it. They take off down the hall and get into the elevator. Dr. Jonas presses the button for the third floor. The elevator stops and the doctor rolls her into the ultra sound room.

Dr. Jonas’s hand slips in his pocket and he brings out a capsule, He looks at Sami and says “ I’m sorry.” He breaks the capsule under her nose and everything goes dark.

Dr. Dan: “Good it’s you come in.” He pulls the figure in looks in the hall in both directions to see if anyone has noticed and closes the door. He walks over to the figure takes off her mask and hat and its Amber. She grabs his face and gives him a long French kiss. Daniel steps back from her. “ Honey, I would like to do that all night but you need to get her out of here.” Amber steps away from him muttering under her breath. Daniel pulls her to him and French kisses her again.
“Amber, this is almost over be patient. I love you so much.”

Amber: “ Ya, I bet your also telling that to Chelsea.” She walks away and starts pacing. Daniel pulls her over to him and starts kissing her. His hand finds his way under her shirt. His fingers start tracing the edges of her breast. Ambers breath starts to get heavy from the excitement. Daniel pulls back,” Amber, we need to get her out of here.” “I am so sorry I got you involved with this.” “Daniel, I thought we would never be able to grab her.”
Daniel: “Who would have known EJ would have been in the shower?” “Or, it would be the morning of them coming together.” “We have her now and I was able to confirm she was pregnant.”
Daniel picks up the sleeping Sami and lays her down in the cart. Amber produces a small oxygen tank from the cart turns it on and places the mask Over Sami’s face.
Daniel: “I didn’t think EJ would ever leave her side. I had to take her out of the coma before it harmed the fetus.” “But, no he’s a fricken DiMeria they never give up.”
Amber: “ You laid the illness’s on a little thick didn’t you?”
Daniel: “ I needed to make sure I kept her here so we could get her.”
“ If I don’t get her to the drop I’m dead.” “ To many people were asking questions.”
Amber: “ A clot, cancer and a heart problem come on.” “ If she was a horse they would of shot her.” Daniel sighs “ I know I was getting nervous, EJ had to leave her sometime and go home.” “ I knew he would do that if she was going to be there for awhile.” “ Now, darling we need to cover her up and you need to go.” Daniel reaches down and begins to arrange the covers. “ Wait, I forgot one thing,” he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a bottle of pills. “ When you get her to the destination tell the doctor she has a pretty good infection.” “ He needs to start her on these immediately,” he reaches down and pats her stomach. “ Amber, we need to protect that baby.” Amber replaces her cap and starts to put on her mask. Before she could finish putting on her mask Daniel grabs her for another kiss.
He walks over to a cabinet and reaches on a high shelf and finds the hammer he left earlier.
Daniel: “ Amber, you need to give me a cover story.” He hands her the hammer and turns around and points to the spot she wants him to hit.
Amber: “ I love you, I don’t want to do this.”
Daniel: “ I know,” she hits him and all is black.

Your doing a very good job so far

All hell is breaking lose at University hospital. An orderly, found Dr. Jonas unconscious lying in a pool of blood. Lexie put the nurse’s and security on alert. An immediate bed count was enacted and they figured out Sami’s missing. Roman, Abe, Bo has been called and they are on the scene. All of them are in the ER waiting for a report from Lexie about the status of Dr. Dan.

Roman: On a walkie – talkie, attention all units I want the hospital from top to bottom and every employee interviewed someone had to see something. Roman turns to Bo, “ Bo, go to security and start reviewing the tapes, start from this morning.”

Bo: “ I bet it was Elvis, what does Sami see in him?”

Roman: “ Bo, I told you earlier, before the accident Sami told me she loved EJ and was going to tell him that.” “According to Marlena she told him that.” “So, if that is the case why would he snatch her?”

Bo: “ I can feel it in my gut that this has Di Meria written all over it.. it’s a good thing the old man is out of commission.” “ I guess I had better call EJ before he hears about this on the news.” “ Roman, your going to have to do a press conference.. if we don’t get her back soon as sick as she is.”

Roman cuts him off “ I know, this is Sami we are talking about, she’s tough.” “ Now Bo go call EJ and get to Security.. its reasonable enough to think since Dr. Jonas was found unconscious he had Sami. I want to stand by and wait until he wakes up.” Bo, shakes his head in agreement, “ bro no problem I will get on what you told me.” Both men part and get started on their tasks.

Meanwhile:

EJ comes pulling up to University hospital he couldn’t stay away. He stopped at Che Rouge and picked up all of Sami’s favorites. Then he stopped at the flower shop and picked up the prettiest arrangement of flowers possible. He even found a cute teddy bear for the baby to give to her. He just wants to make her happy. He pulls into the driveway and is startled on the amount of police officers in the parking lot. Ej pulls up to a police barricade and identifies him self to the officer. The officer waves him in and EJ parks, grabs his stuff and goes inside. Roman meets him as soon as he gets off the elevator.

EJ: “ Oh god, Roman its Samantha isn’t it?” EJ hastily sits down his stuff and Roman motions him to a chair. “EJ sit down we need to talk.” “ Roman, where the hell is she?” Roman puts his hand on his shoulder and looks at him dead in the eye. “ EJ I don’t know but we will find her.”
EJ jumps up and looks like he is ready to kill. “ Roman, forgive me but I don’t hold a lot of faith in the local police department… I will find her myself.” Roman tries to stop EJ from running out of the hospital he goes outside and jumps into his car. He opens his phone and dials John’s number. “ John, its me EJ I need your help its Samantha.. Where are you? Good I will be there in 10 minutes don’t move.”

Sami wakes up from her slumber. She has no idea where she is or how long she was out. It looks like its early evening she looks around the room trying to recognize the place. She is lying in a four post bed; the room has a TV and lots of books. She tries to move her leg and realizes she is chained to the bed by her ankles. She screams for help but no one comes or answers. Sami panics and tries to get the chain off. Becoming more and more frustrated and extremely scared she begs someone to help her.

Sami: “Oh please, someone anyone come and help me.”
All of a sudden a voice comes on a loud speaker.
Voice: “Sami, be a good girl and calm down.”
Sami: “Who the hell are you and I am not going to calm down… get me out of here.”
Voice: “Sami, I would love to but I am sorry that will not happen for about 10 months.”
Sami starts to cry, her sobs could be heard through the entire compound that she is being held in.
Back in Salem:
EJ finds John down at the water front sitting on a bench. John watches EJ rush up to him. John watches and thinks to himself “poor bastard, he has it bad for her.” EJ comes over to John and John motions him to sit down.
EJ: “ John, no that’s ok I’ll stand I am too upset to sit, its Samantha."
John waves his hand at him to cut him off, he can’t stand listening to the “love dribble.”
John: “Nephew sit down I already know Samantha has been kidnapped.”
“I have had my people on it as soon as I heard.” EJ sits down on the bench next to him and lets out a sigh of frustration.
EJ: “ John what do you know and can you help?” “I have to get her back.”
John: “ Well, this is what I know.” “My contacts tell me she has not left town on a train, bus, or plain.. I have people at all of those locations… I have people at private airports in a 20 mile radius of here.” “ You know, she is Blondie’s kid so I am concerned.. but I did find some interesting news.”

back up you go

EJ’s eyes get really big, “ John what they hell do you know.”

John: “ Nephew, now, now calm down.. I know it was an inside job.. the cameras at the hospital where shut down on that side of the building.” “ Also, I do know that doctor of her’s insisted on taking her down for her tests.”

EJ: “ John the doctor thing doesn’t mean anything he’s that kind of doctor, but the cameras well that’s another story.” “ I am going to go back to the hospital and talk to Roman, I guess I shouldn’t have run out of there the way I did.” “ I have no faith in the police force around here even with the commander being Samantha’s father.”

John stands up and puts his hand on EJ shoulder. “We will find her, don’t worry.” Both men part, with plans on meting later: to update each other on what they found out.

Meanwhile:

Sami completely exhausted from crying falls asleep again. When she wakes up this time, she sees a figure sitting in a chair by the door. Sami sits up quickly..

Sami: “ Who the hell are you and where am I at?” The figure just laughs and rises from his chair and walks over to her bed. As the figure comes closer Sami recognizes the figure its Stefano Di Meria. Sami almost passes out on the spot..

Sami: “ No way, you can’t be Stefano he’s in a facility in a coma.” “Well, no thanks to Marlena, yes that was true but now I am not.” Sami lunges for Stefano to try and kill him. Stefano grabs her arm and laughs.

Stefano: “Now, here are the rules, I have a guard outside the door, one word from me and your dead, baby or not.”

Sami: “Baby, what baby?”

Stefano: “Oh now, come on Smantha, I know you’re pregnant with my grand child.”

Sami: “ Listen freak!”

Stefano grabs her arm tighter Sami winces from the pain. “ Smantha like I started to say here are the rules.. a nurse will come in and release you from the handcuffs.. you will wash and dress for dinner.. at dinner all will be revealed on how and why you are here.. do you understand?”

Sami shakes her head yes and Stefano releases her arm. “ Oh by the way Smantha, there is no escape from this home so don’t try.. I will see you at dinner.” With that Stefano turns around and walks out of the room. Stefano closes the door and Sami picks up the bedside table lamp and throws it at the door and screams. Then it dawns on her she better calm down and puts herself in check. She does have a blood clot in her brain and cancer getting upset will not help the baby. A very large burly woman enters the room holding key. She stands at the door and introduces herself has Sylvia. Sylvia walks over to Sami grabs her leg and unlocks the chain to release her. She show’s Sami where the bathroom is and show’s her the closet to find some clothes. Sylvia ends the conversation with a time table on when she should be ready and excuses herself from the room. Sami undresses and turns on the shower and climbs in. The warm water feels good she finishes gets out and dries herself off. Sami walks to the closet and opens the door. She is in amazement on the abundance of clothes and shoes in various sizes. “ Some of these clothes are maternity clothes how could Stefano have known.” Sami dresses in an aqua gown and waits for her escort to take her down for dinner.

Sami stands in the middle of her room dressed in her gown waiting to be taken to dinner. She looks around the room trying to figure out if she could find something that would tell her were she has been taken to. Sami starts opening drawers and flips open books. She tries to turn on the TV and figures out it is only hooked up to a DVD player. Searching high and low in the room she finds plenty of books, movies and craft supplies. Oh, and yes she finds the cameras all 8 of them. Now she really starts to pace the room trying to run through possible scenarios to get free. The window catches her eye and goes over there for further inspection. “Well at least the view is spectacular,” Sami says sarcastically. She peered outside trying to figure out the lay of the land. All she sees was plenty of water lots of sand and rocks big jagged rocks. Sami is getting scared she looks up to the sky and prays quietly “ god please get me out of here and back to EJ.” All of a sudden she is startled back to reality she hears jingling of keys at the door and someone is unlocking it. The door opens and all she saw was black. The tallest and widest man she has ever seen just ducked down to enter the room.

Big Man: “ Sami, is it all right that I call you Sami?” Sami nods her head yes, just lost for words.
“Good, my name is Tiny, Sami tries to stifle a laugh, and yes I know mother had a good sense of humor said Tiny.”

Sami: “What mother names her child “Tiny?” Tiny smiles from ear to ear, obviously not phased by this line of questioning. “Well, when your mother is the 1,000 pound fat woman in the circus to her everyone is tiny.” Sami starts to ask him another question and Tiny cuts her off.

Tiny: “ Sami if we are late for dinner the boss will be made we need to go.” “ Your going to be here for awhile so we need to go.” Tiny holds out is very big arm to Sami. Sami takes his arm and lets him lead her to dinner. The walk to the dinning room was a huge shock for Sami. The house has all hardwood floors and views of the ocean in every room you go into. All of the furniture is obviously expensive and very fancy art is hanging from the walls. Tiny leads them into the formal dinning room. Sami sucks in a breath of shock and disbelief. Stefano is sitting at the table and points to a seat and tells her to sit down the food is getting cold. Sami is hesitant at first, not sure what she should do but decides to sit down and eat. She knows not keeping up with her nutrition will harm the baby. Tiny pulls out a chair for her and motions her to sit down.

Stefano: Nods his head in approval and starts to speak. “ Smantha, we are going to have a good dinner, you are going to watch that temper of yours.” “ If you do that I will answer all of your questions.” “ If you decide to try something, or if you can’t behave you will go to the cellar and stay there.. I guarantee the cellar is no way as nice as your room.. do you understand?”

Sami: “ I guess I have no choice.” She picks up her napkin trying to collect herself and get control of her emotions.

Stefano: Stefano rings a bell and a maid brings out food on a tray covered with silver covers. The maid sits a plate in front of Sami and she starts eating. Both diners eat for awhile without saying anything. Finally Stefano talks first..

Stefano: “ I am sorry you have to go through this Smantha but I want my grandchild… Sami grabs her stomach.” “ My children are a disappointment to me, I need an heir that I can raise to be prepared to take over my empire.

Sami: “ Huh, your half brother john has your empire, how in the hell are you here?”

Stefano: “ That part I will tell you at another time, but first I do want you to know something.”

Sami: “ WHAT!”

Stefano: “ I am only telling you this so you don’t stress out my grand child… you don’t have a blod clot nor cancer you are perfectly healthy except for an infection.

Sami sits still in utter shock and joy she wishes EJ could be here. Sami jumps up and in a flash starts to choke Stefano with everything she has. Food is flying dishes are flying, she knocks his chair to the floor with him in it still choking him.

Sami: “ You bastard, I should have killed you myself a long time ago.” Tiny comes back and picks Sami up.

Stefano: “ Tiny take her back to her room for now, I figured she would do that. Chain her up though she still needs to be punished.” He walks over to Sami and rubs her cheek,” such fire, I am glad you didn’t disappoint me.” Sami is carried away kicking and screaming.

Meanwhile:

It’s been 24 hours since the kidnapping and Dr. Dan finally wakes up. He has been questioned by the FBI, ISA and a ticked off father, uncle and adopted uncle. ( Roman, Bo and Abe) He continues to hold to his story about someone coming up behind him. The Salem P.D is confused as usually.
EJ has been working other angles; Roman gave him the update on what Dr. Dan said. EJ’s not so convinced he can’t get into his room as himself, he is anxious to talk with him.
