My favorite line so far: "...the power and grace of EJ’s naked form." He is a powerful & graceful man, isn't he? Loved his interaction with Dr. Jonas.

Wow!!! Even I almost jumped out of my seat when the shower scene ended with a bang!!

Poor Sami. I hope she doesn't lose her eye...or her life for that matter.

That Amber is really a jealous psycho. I hope EJ finds her and squashes her like a bug on the wall!!

It has been three days. The bathroom at the Di Meria estate has been processed by local authorities. Abe Carver found the cause of the implosion of the glass doors. A bullet.. No one knows who or why would someone shot Sami and EJ. We find EJ by Sami’s side. A cot was set up for him in her room the blankets are still fresh and unused. Ej is not going to leave her side. What if she woke up and no one was around he keeps telling himself. EJ is sitting on a chair right beside her bed. He has not slept nor ate much. Coffee is keeping him alive. His beard is showing some length, his hair is all tussled, he is looking frazzled. He is holding Sami’s hand afraid to let it go. It is almost if, he thinks if he let’s go of her hand: she will leave him forever.

EJ: “ Darling,” he says in a forced light tone. “Please wake up, I need you, your children need you.. we have so many plans to make.. if you would just wake up. Johnny and Allie are missing their mommy.”

EJ hits the bed in frustration. She has to wake up, he feels utterly useless. EJ walks over to Sami and kisses her passionately. Maybe he can give her strength through him to wake up and come back to him. None of the doctor’s understands why this is happening. EJ kisses Sami like it would be the last kiss he would ever give her. He is afraid their perfect moment, when she finally came to him for good, is over. EJ touches Sami’s lips first to see if she would respond then he presses more firmly. He stops and sits down again in his chair he looks utterly lost. He folds his arms and lays his head on the edge of her bed and starts to cry. EJ has known pain but not like this.

EJ is still seating by Sami’s bed crying when he feels a hand on his shoulder. Marlena walked into the room and he did not even hear her.

Marlena:” How’s are girl, EJ?” … EJ just shakes his head. EJ you need to get out of here and go eat something, she looks at EJ with a look of understanding, but with general concern for him besides Sami. “ Marlena, I am not leaving Samantha until she wakes up, PERIOD!” “EJ please get out of here and go get some fresh air, you need to keep up your strength for Sami.”

EJ: “ Marlena, I would appreciate it if you would drop the subject.. I am not leaving Sami until she wakes up. We have been through so much I waited for her for so long.. I just can’t believe this.”

Marlena: “ EJ, I understand your pain.. I want to set with Sami for awhile. Can I have some time alone with her?” “ This way you can go get something to eat and some fresh air.”

EJ: “ Well, maybe I will use the hospital showers in there locker room. I had Rolf bring me a change of clothes from the manson… please Marlena, don’t leave her alone I will not be long.”

Marlena: “ EJ, good for you I will stay here until you get back.”

EJ goes over to Sami and kisses her goodbye on the lips. “ Darling, I will be back soon, I love you.”
EJ nodes to Marlena and walks out of the room.

Marlena: “ Well, Sami we are all alone and now we can talk.. baby girl I need you to wake up.” “ Your family loves you so much… and this EJ thing.. young lady, I can’t believe you finally told him how you felt. I am very proud of you for making a decision and sticking with it. I know giving up on Lucas was hard.. he was the love of your life.”

Marlena straightens the covers on Sami’s bed. She sits staring at her daughter almost trying to will her to wake up. Marlena starts to sing her the song, she sang to Sami when she was little and scared. Marlena keeps singing to her as Dr. Jonas comes walking into Sami’s room.

Dr. Jonas: “ Dr. Evans nice to see you. I just wanted to come in and check on Sami.” “ Of course, Dr. Jonas, I will leave you alone with her.” “ Dr. Evans, please don’t go far I need to talk with you about Sami.” “ I will wait for you right outside Dr.Jonas.” Marlena looks scared, she squeezes Sami’s hand and tells her she will be back soon.

Dr. Jonas checks Sami’s vitals, pricks the end of her feet to see if she moves. Also, he checks her pupil response and makes some notes. He closes his chart and tells Sami goodbye and walks out into the hall.

Dr. Jonas: “ Dr. Evans,” he takes her hand and walks her over to some chairs and sits her down.
“ Dr. Evans, we know for sure what happened and I want to discuss that with you.” Marlena shakes her head and says “ of course go on doctor.” “ Like I said, we know what happened we just don’t know the damage… When Sami came in she had to have her eye operated on. Her heart is having problems I think it was a defect from birth. Her heart caused a clot that was released into her body and went to her brain. That is what caused the coma. We need to remove the clot, but during routine testing we discovered something else.” Dr. Jonas pauses not sure how this information is going to be received by Sami’s mom. “ Dr. Jonas, please go on I need to know all of it.” “ She’s pregnate and her white count is through the roof I think she has cancer.. I just don’t know what form of cancer.”

Marlena’s eyes go as wide as saucers. She faints in her chair and Dr. Jonas is able to catch her before she hits the floor. Just as Dr. Jonas, catches Marlena EJ comes walking around the corner refreshed and ready. He walks up to the two doctor’s and sees Marlena’s distress. He immediately panics.

EJ: “ Oh my god Marlena! Is she dead.”

Oh no!! How awful for poor Sami. First her eye and now her heart.

PLEASE...Just when her and EJ finally fund each other and Marlena was happy that she was honest about her feelings for EJ...then this tragedy.

I so want him to find out about the pregnancy ONCE she is out of the woods. Otherwise, he really will be devasted if something bad happens to her.

PLEASE.. Dr Jonas. Get her well again. After all you are the "Jack of all Trades and Master of Many!!

Dr. Jonas swings around when he hears EJ speak. He is completely unsure of what to do with Marlena and now EJ.
Dr. Jonas: “ EJ, I need you to sit down with me and Marlana.. Sami is not dead.” EJ takes a seat and his attention turns to Marlena. “Dr. Evans,” he starts to tap her face. Marlena starts to regain her composure.
Marlena: “ Dr. Jonas please call me Marlena and I am so sorry for fainting on you.”
Dr. Jonas: He smiles at Marlena. “ No problem, I know what I told you was a surprise.”
EJ: Doctor, what is wrong with Samantha?”
Dr. Jonas: “ EJ, I was telling Dr. Evans, um I mean Marlena that we know some things for sure and found some surprises.” Dr. Jonas hesitates for a moment, not sure how to soften the news to EJ. He is certain from what he has heard around the hospital the baby should be his. With the blood clot and the possible cancer and then her eye, he takes a deep breath.
EJ: “ Doctor, I am waiting what is really wrong with her? Or, do you not know? Do I need to get a different doctor for her?” Marlena pipes up” EJ, Dr. Jonas is the best at this type of medicine let him continue.” EJ looks like he could cause death to just about everyone at this point. “ O.K then,” EJ takes a big breath, he can sense what the doctor is about to say isn’t good. “ Well, doctor bloody get on with it. What is wrong with her?”
Dr. Jonas: “ EJ, we know that Sami had a blood clot break off from her heart during her eye surgery.” “ We think the heart defect is something she has had since birth.” “ We also know that the same clot is lodged in her brain and we are not sure of the damage that it has caused.” EJ is as pail as a sheet. He puts his head down, he can’t make eye contact with the doctor. “ EJ are you ok?” EJ stiffens his body and sits up straight in his chair.
EJ: “ Doctor, how the hell would you be doing if you were in my situation?”
“She can have surgery for a clot right?” Now it’s Dr. Jonas’s turn to look down.
“ Doctor, what the bloody hell are you not telling me?” EJ stands up and puts his hand on his hips. “ You do know that my sister is your boss?” Marlena jumps up and grabs his arm. Which from the burning look of rage in his eyes, she is probably preventing him from hitting Doctor Jonas.
Dr. Jonas: “EJ, I have more to tell you and I need you sit down.” EJ retakes his seat and gives the good doctor the look of death. “ EJ, I don’t know another way to say this. Sami’s white blood count is through the roof… she has cancer and we don’t know from where in her body. Also, during routine blood work we discovered she is pregnant.”
EJ stands up and doesn’t say a word. Marlena tries to get him to talk but he waves her off as he walk back into Sami’s room.

Please give us some good news about Sami soon...before I end up more depressed.

I hope the cancer isn't a correct diagnosis. I want the doctors to make her well and get her out of the coma.

This tragedy is killing me!!

EJ walks about into Sami’s room and walks over to her bed. “Samantha, you look like an angel.” EJ starts to pace the room trying to process in his mind the news he just received. He sits down by Sami’s bed and takes her hand.

EJ: “Samantha, darling,” he is fighting back the tears.” Samantha, I need you to wake up… I received some news about your condition that I am not sure how to process.. I know you can hear me. Squeeze my hand if you can hear me.” EJ pauses trying to will her to squeeze his hand. He needs a sign, something, so he will know she will make it. EJ starts to choke up, half cry, and tells her everything. “Darling, you have a blood clot in your head, which resulted from your eye surgery.” He pauses now not sure if he should tell her everything. Maybe if he does she will fight and wake up. “OK here it goes, Sami, sweetheart, he gets the courage to choke out the words, “you’re pregnant.” He decides not to tell her about the cancer. He figures one bridge at a time. All of this is too much; EJ is not sure how much of this he can take.

The sun has fallen a long time ago, and EJ is starting to see double because of lack of sleep. EJ decides to take a few zzz’s on the cot. He kisses Sami, “darling,” I am right over here I am going to sleep for a little while.” EJ removes his shirt and lies down on the cot and immediately falls dead to sleep. The night passes quickly, EJ occasionally hears the nurses go in and out if Sami’s room. He is sleeping too soundly to care. Sunrise starts to come slowly from the horizon. Daylight is trying to peak into Sami’s room. EJ hears someone calling his name, he thinks he is dreaming. All of a sudden he jumps up and yells ” bloody hell”, it’s Samantha and she’s awake.

Ok, Laura... I hope your intentions are that all this darkness is leading to a deeper bond between them. This is truly gut wrenching!!! We need a miracle!!!!! A Salem miracle!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to show some depth to the characters. One of my biggest pet peeves is that you really don't get to see depth. The gut wrenching I will truly die without you. I think both characters have it in them to show some great work if they would get decent material. My other pet peeve is that the stories go so slow. Prime time can have 18 shows and make some progress with emotional progression of actors. Not on DOOL it takes months for a story line to finish out. I believe a good old tragedy brings super couples together. I just don't know where this writing bug is comeing from. I am really starting to enjoy it. I think I have a few more installments then I might try some of the other actors. I really appreciate your input especially from someone as talented as yourself.

EJ jumps up from his cot and runs over to Sami’s bed and freezes in his tracks. She is trying to open her visible eye. Her hand makes its way to her face and feels the bandage. She focuses in on EJ and smiles.
Sami: “Hi, you’re a sight.” EJ smiles and grabs her hand and is trying to hold back his tears. He is whole, she woke up things will be o.k.
Sami: “EJ are you o.k.? Where are the twins?” “I remember the glass and I got glass in my eye and it hurt so badly.” Sami starts to get visibly upset.
EJ: “ Shhhh, darling calm down. I am going to get your doctor to check you out.”
Sami: “No, you’re going to tell me what the hell happened.”
EJ is hesitant he doesn’t want to upset her. He sits down in the chair next to her bed and just stares at her. He is amazed at her beauty. Even with being cut up from the glass, pale from being in a coma she’s beautiful and he loves her: no matter what. The future might be scary for awhile but he knows they will make it. Look what they have been through, Lucas his father, her father.
EJ: “Ok, I need you to take it easy and I will tell you everything.” Sami stares at him waiting for him to proceed. “The shower doors imploded onto us while we were in the shower. The force of the glass was like a pellet shot of glass onto our bodies.”
Sami: “Did you get hurt, I am confused. What day is it?”
EJ: “ I had a few stitches, but I am ok. I wish I was the one that took the brunt of it.. you did.” “You got glass in your eye and all over your body.” “The blood was everywhere.. Sami, please let me go get the doctor.”
Sami: “ EJ if you leave this room without telling me everything about what happened you will need a bed in this place and I am not talking about sleeping.”
EJ chuckles and brushes the side of her cheek with his hand.
EJ: “That’s my girl.. all right well here is what happened.” “Your Uncle Bo found a bullet in the wall in the shower someone shot at us.” Sami gasped the look of utter surprise on her face. “EJ, what they hell else is going on?” “I know you’re not telling me everything.” “When you had your eye operate on a blood clot came loose from your heart and went to your brain.. you have been in a coma for 3 days.” Pure unadulterated fear flashed on Sami’s face. EJ panics, he is afraid to cause her a relapse. “Samantha, please let me go and get your doctor.” Sami just sat there and stared at him in utter disbelief. “EJ, we are not going to go over that part again.” “EJ, tell me the rest and tell me now.” EJ just looks down at the floor. A tear rolls down his cheek. Sami puts her hand to his chin and turns his face to her. In barely audible tone she says “please.” EJ clears his throat. “ Your heart problem, is probably something you have had since birth.”
Sami: “ Ya, but they can operate right?”
EJ: “Um, yah..
Sami: “EJ!”
EJ: “Your white count is high, they think its cancer and your pregnant.”
“Doctor’s don’t know everything; I am going to get you the best specialist possible.” “You’re going to beat this and you’re going to have a healthy baby.”
Sami: “God is punishing me for what I did to Lucas.” “Oh, my god I might as well be dead right now.” Sami turns away from him and starts to cry softly.
EJ: “Samantha, look at me.” Now it’s his turn to turn her head. “ Your going to beat this and I am going to be with you every step of the way.” Sami starts to cry harder, EJ climbs in bed with her and holds her tight to his chest. If you listen closely you can hear Sami say “ my baby, my baby.”
