Hi everyone. Haven't been feeling very well today so I'll be back at the hospital in the morning.
Just because Lucas was an alcoholic does not disqualify him from custody of his children when he is in recovery and has not had a drink in a long time and his sponsor can back that up. If the writers used this against Lucas they would be sending a message to all people in recover that you can never be forgiven or out live your past and I don't think they would do that. As for him attempting to kill EJ, there were mitigating circumstances, I think if he went to trial he could have gotten off but that's beside the point, what he did for the Feds will negate that in the eyes of the court - he put his life on the line to go undercover for the Feds and that will hold a lot of weight. Lucas is not a child molester or abuser and that is what he court is looking at when it comes to custody is is the child safe.
Shared custody is the logical outcome. But Sami knowing Stefano has been in the mansion should want to get the children out of there. You know Stefano wants his house back and wants to get even with John and Marlena who knows what he will do. The children might not be the targets but be collateral damage. Once things get going they could easily get out of hand. Sami's first concern should be her children. EJ doesn't care about anything except getting his way and that means keeping Sami with him irregardless of what could happen to her or the children. Sami wake up and smell the coffee.

Well another hump day, Wednesday, and I'm sure those of you who work are glad the work week is near it's end. I am waiting for the wheel chair ambulance to pick me up to take me to the VA Medical Center again and wanted to stop by before I left. If my treatment goes well I'll be back home this afternoon. I want to thank those of you who have sent prayers and well wishes my way because you give me strength to keep going.
Well we know Lucas will get shared custody and Sami will be upset and go to EJ for support but according to spoilers he is too busy with Nicole to help her. Hopefully this will wake her up and make her see EJ is not the one for her and is unreliable. For all his talk of love he isn't going to be receptive. The writers need to have Sami seperate herself from EJ so the road back to Lucas can begin. I think we've had enough of this triangle. As so many of us have said we just don't get how Sami could put aside everything EJ has done to her and her family and have feelings for him. It just makes no sense.

Greatbear, I hope you are doing ok...I've been praying for you. Days has been so boring the last two days for me without much time for Sami & Lucas. I really don't care about Max's trip to Paris & his spoiled sister! I am surprised by Sami's being fooled by EJ. She is usually such a smart cookie! I also am surprised by Lucas being won over by Chloe (although he did get involved with Nichole!)

Lumiforeverandever and GrandmaPJ, Tunes , Blin and anyone else who wished me well thanks. Things did not go very well today and I have to go in again tommorrow when they will decide if I have to be admitted. I really don't want to stay in and am pushing to have everything done as an outpatient. My wife doesn't like to be alone in the house. She says she doesn't feel right if I'm not here.
I am eager to see how they portray the custody issue - will there be a court hearing or will we just hear about the results? It would be better if they showed a hearing and how the decison to share custody is determined. I hope this whole situation gives Sami a wake up call and she realizes EJ can't be trusted to be there when you need him.
It's about time we at least heard mention of Will. Unless I missed it no one has even mentioned his name in long time. He is a part of the family and out of sight should not mean out of mind.

GB..hospital stays are always the worst..I feel for you... but please do whats best for your health...
Maybe they can arrange for your wife to stay int he room with you?..
